Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Another contender for Goal of the Season. We've had several in September - Drogba's against Liverpool, Xabi Alonso's against Newcastle, the Crouch bicycle kick and now Van Persie's. Wow!

Btw, I hear that the Charlton whine after the match was that RVP shouldn't have been on the pitch due to an earlier challenge that could've resulted in a straight red. Unfortunately, like Arsene, I didn't see the incident.

Anyone see that?

No, I didn't and it wasn't covered on the wrap up. You know that those Sky wankers would have put the boot in so without seeing it, I'd have to put this down to sour grapes.

They should be rueing Jimbo Hasselbank's profligate finishing. Gotta say that Johan Djourou and Gallas gave him all the rope he needed to hang himself.
