Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

As Aguias are Benfica, Los Blancos are Real. Byens Hold are Copenhagen. Les Dogues are Lille. Red Army is CSKA-they really were the Army at one point. Enosis sounds Greek, AEK? Parswit sounds funny, Anderlect?

All present and correct. They do make sense if you break them down that way. CSKA were indeed once the Red Army side. If you're good on the team colors and badges the others will fall into line.

Yes, Real are "The Whites." As you probably know, Leeds nicked the team colors and nickname off them in the 60s under Don Revie - the idea was that we'd be as dominant in the English league as Real were in Spain - a bit of a sad joke at this point. We might as well be "The Farmers" - any guess who they are?

No idea, so I'm going to have to say Man United because of their agricultural methods of football. I was going to say that they're the Moles, but that's just because of the expression that seems to be tattooed on Gary Nevilles face.

Don't you love the Moles? What a great name, but no - it ain't ManYoo - who are forever known as the Red Devils of course. Try again. I'll list the answers tomorrow.

That's surprising because they've got the whole barnyard at the moment; VDS flapping like a goose, the 'orange mooing aimlessly in the field, Scholes snapping away wildly like a border collie, Skippy dancing around like a baby lamb, and Saha up front scoring like the stud bull.

Red Devils? Bollocks, it's Old Trafford Farm.
