Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Many congratulations Steve. It was well deserved with the second half display. It was a really exciting first half but the second wasn't.
What a plonker Ronaldo was doing his trickery in the middle of his own half!!!
Great save by Lehman near the end from Solskjaer. Great save from his face in the first.
Why did Fergie take off Scholes and Rooney? Left O'Shea on.
I don't understand.
Sorry, I must have posted it twice.
Can you delete my second post Bob?
A buddy of mine has sent me 16 emails and counting so far. Eveyone has a picture of Arsenal, Cannons, Dyanne Cannon, the table, scores.
He is a jerk!!! #17 just arrived. It is a Chelski one.
By the way, we won today 4-0. I scored our first.
I thought it was a cracking match, at least for the neutral. Of course, you two must have been on pins and needles. Given the players that they had available, I thought Arsenal got it more right than United. I would always love to see two forwards starting, but with Henry and Van Persie out, starting Ade alone up front was the best choice. Gooner doesn't rate him, but he did the business today. He had one clear chance and buried it.
United looked a little anemic up front, especially Roon, who was totally anonymous. Only the loathsome Skippy showed any spark. It was probably overly negative playing O'Shea instead of the more forward looking Carrick. And those aging legs will catch up during a long season. The bottom line is that this is a cold shower after United's brilliant start. They aren't going to run away with anything - no one is this season. All of the big clubs have lost and that adds some much needed intrigue to the Premiership. Game on!
Well done with the scoring today, Davey! United could have used you.
Thanks Bob.
Thank-you Davey. That's big of you. I know how big conceding a 78th minute winner in a nail biter like this bites. Believe me, I know.
Though I'm a happy boy today, I'm sparing a thought for Bob's Sheepshaggers too. Wheels completely coming off that wagon.
Take a listen to the discussion on 606 yesterday. A lot of Leeds fans both of the "Sack Blackwell" and "Keep Blackwell" camps. I think it's a no-brainer at this point. I like the guy, but when the team stops playing for the manager, you can either sack the entire side or sack the manager.
Just look at the renaissance at Sunderland. Three weeks ago, they couldn't win to save their lives and once they went behind they were dead in the water. My fear is that Blackwell hang around just long enough to put a pall over the team that sees us knocked out of the Carling Cup by lowly Barnet. He should go before then rather than waiting for a sad press conference Tuesday night.
