Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Liverpool are already in the midst of knocking off Spurs this morning. It's 2-0 with goals from Gonzalez and Kuyt - his second of the week.
They've just showed the Xabi Alonso goal again on the preview show. It's really not that impressive because the Newcastle keeper Harper slips and bollixes up the save. The Beckham goal against Wimbledon years ago was better because he looked up, noticed the keeper just slightly off his line and lifted it perfectly over the keeper who was scrambling backward for it.
Liverpool are now 3-0 down after a goal from Riise. What on earth is going on at Shite Fart Lane? I tipped them for fourth spot and now they're a point off relegation. Yeah, I know. Just call me Nostradamus.
It's just about over at Anfield. This result puts them right back in the hunt, in fifth spot just behind their arch-rivals Everton. Are you scared now, Davey-boy?
Celtic have beaten Rangers 2-0 in the Old Firm match. They're now six points up on Hearts. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The Arsenal side for today:
1. Jens Lehmann
27. Emmanuel Eboue
5. Kolo Toure
20. Johan Djourou
10. William Gallas
8. Fredrik Ljungberg
4. Francesc Fabregas
19. Gilberto Silva
7. Tomas Rosicky
25. Emmanuel Adebayor
14. Thierry Henry
Good to have TH-14 back. This looks liek the first team alright.
The only thing the Blades have going for them is Rob Hulse. I always like watching him, even if it is a bit poignant.
Come on the Arse!
My first chance to see the Emirates Stadium in all its glory. It looks like any other stadium. If they didn't have "Emirates" on every placard around the pitch, you wouldn't know what stadium it is. I miss the Highbury atmosphere.
Burnley already 1-0 up against Soton.
Gallas should've had his first for the Gunners. Pulled his shot wide.
YEEESSS! Leeds are 1-0 up against Birmingham. Not sure yet who scored it because the usual clockwatch feature isn't working on 365.
The Blades are in the wars this morning. First Alan Wright had to go off for treatment after being kicked in the head by Djourou and now Hulse has gone down after a clash of heads with Toure.
Someone needs to knee Neil Warnock in the groin. I do not like that guy at all.
And it's David Healey who has started John Carver's reign as caretaker manager at Leeds with a bang. It's Healey's third of the season, his first from open play and only our fifth league goal!
That's an early indication that the decision to sack Blackwell was the right one. The atmosphere around the club must be one of relief today.
Come on!
Fulham are apparently putting Chelski under a lot of early pressure. It would be nice to see Chelski pegged back by their local rivals.
Oh, how did TH-14 miss that chance from Toure's great header. Okay, on the replay it's a great save from Bennett.
And suddenly it's Leeds 2 Brum 1 while I was paying attention to the Arsenal match for a second. Wow! It's all hapenening at Elland Road today. It was an own goal by Tony Warner followed closely by a third penalty for the season from David Healey - his second of the afternoon.
Soton have leveled it against Burnley.
Plymouth have taken the lead against Norwich.
No goals in the Prem. except those earlier strikes for 'Pool.
Wolves now 1-0 to Stoke.
TH-14 really looks a step or two off the pace. He should've had at least one goal by now.
Another lovely move from the Arse comes to nothing as there's no one to stick the ball in the net. Story of their season so far.
Nice move from Hulse; he's really the only thing that Sheff. Utd. have going for them.
Gallas is spending an awful lot of time in the Sheff. Utd. box for a left back, but just as well as he seems the only Arse player who wants to get his head on a cross.
The excellently named Shabani Nonda has put Blackburn 1-0 away to Boro. Nice one.
Keano's magic continues at Sunderland who are now 1-0 up away to Ipswich.
WBA are one-nil down.
Henri Camara has put Wigan one-nil up against Watford. Watford are hopeless. I feel back for Demeter, the American lad there.
With results as they are now, I notice that Spurs are now in the drop zone. Can Martin Jol last long in this situation?
The Tractor Boys have pegged Sunderland back. 1-1
Trevor Francis reckons that Arsenal haven't had many chances - is he watching the same match? The only thing that the Blades have got going here is putting ten men behind the ball and kicking lumps out of the boys in red.
Burnley are down to ten men, but they're 2-1 up now to Soton.
Mike Reilly's doing a really poor job with this match and it's starting to boil over. Fabregas has gone off for treatment, Rosicky's just gone in late on Hulse. This could get ugly.
More woes for Ian Dowie - Charlton are behind to Villa. Can he last long? They're now just above the drop zone.
Luton are now 2-1 up against WBA, who still haven't replaced Bryan Robson.
On this showing, I don't see the mythology of the "Big Match Doesn't Suit Arsenal." They're playing good stuff but they lack a sharp edge up front with Henry coming back from injury.
Hi guys, I am home from Rec Soccer ready to follow my United. Looks like Chelski and The Arse both struggle in the first half but win in the second. Leeds are winninig.
Tractor Boys are crushing the Keano boys!!
Come on you Blues
Great win for the Whites.
ZOOMING UP THE TABLE
Hey Dave: Yeah, quite happy with those scores today. Leeds coming thru with a tight 3-2 win. That'll restore some confidence. Liverpool and Arse winning. Shame about Chelski though. I'd have loved to have seen Fulham get a result there.
Now we have you boys to watch. Come on, Reading!
Saha not playing,
Vidic and Heinze both back from injury.
COME ON UNITED!!!
Shut it
Great crack from Roon
Ronaldo is a w#nker
He thinks he's Cantona
But when he takes his kit off
He's got a push-up bra...la...la...la
shut it
that was close.
Good old edwin
that was close.
Good old edwin
Great Carrick pass. Roon wasn't offside
lots of possesion but not very impressive.
same as last week please
bugger
Hey Trev.... I can't complain and neither did Neville
back from my errands and making my banner for the dcu match tonight. is that nationwide tonight. it's a celebration of the first title winning team with Harkes, Etcheverry, Agoos, Pope, Williams and co. coming back for a on-field ceremony.
reading drawing yernited? nice one. good to see leeds stop the rot too.
and it goes without saying that it was nice to see my boys put warnock's goblin horde to the sword today.
BLOODY USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enough said
Hey, just reading about the Chelski game, if they had to win, at least Lamps got two. The start of a long road back, hopefully.
