Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Drogba Goal

If you haven't seen it yet, Didier Drogba's goal against Liverpool yesterday is well worth a look. It's a peach of a goal.

Yeah, I'm not a big Drogba fan either, what with the floppiness and stroppiness.

It is good to hear Motty. I still love the BBC coverage - there's just something more traditional and authentic about it.

Great take. I really wish that this was somebody else because I really don't like this player.

I saw a columnist yesterday or late last week that was saying that Drogba has been shamed into being a better player. That recently his diving and overall chavness has decreased. Does anyone else concur?

There was one notable recent incident where he stayed on his feet (against Citeh maybe?) and finished off the chance. Of course, Chelski were already two up and the goal that he subsequently scored was mere icing on the cake. If a similar chance to flop had come his way before this goal against Liverpool, would he have done the same? Hard to say. The jury's still out, I suspect.

Yeah, that's what I think. It's why I thought he should move on to Spain when either Valencia or Depor came in for him last year. He's not charming like Jurgen was who had the same rep. He'll go down like he's been shot at some point and it'll all start again.

Is there a charming person at Chelsea now?
