The Rutles on VH1 Classic Rock
While I was surfing around the cable system tonight I hit on VH1 Classic Rock who were showing Eric Idle's classic Beatles spoof "The Rutles." Brilliant stuff. I nearly pissed myself when Idle in full Alan Whicker mode was trying to narrate a bit while the camera kept moving away into the distance. Good memories. They'll be repeating it again, along with a cool doc. on the history of Top of the Pops tomorrow at 8 p.m. Time to set the VCRs, eh lads?

I just saw the Rutles 2 but no sign of Top of the Pops.
How disappointing
Sorry, mate. Our Comcast system had Rutles 2 on at 8 and then the TOTP doc. on at 9. Keep looking for it on that channel, though. It's well worth a look.
Is it called Top of the Pops or does is the show called something else?
