Carling Cup Semi Final
It's a biggie - the second leg of the Carling Cup semi final and not insignificantly a North London derby between Arsenal and Spurs. In addition there are four Premiership matches, including ones involving the top two, and a couple of Coke matches. If you're around this afternoon, give us your thoughts on the match.

Looks to me as if Arsene has taken Gooner's advice and tossed a few scrubs into the side this afternoon. It's a gamble since Arsene has never won this competition, but Arsenal merely need a draw as the aggregate score from the first leg is 2-2.
Spurs have gone for width, with Zokora playing wide right where Aaron Lennon typically plays and Robbie Keane starting out wide left. Defoe then is ploughing the middle alone, with Malbranque tucking in behind him.
Drogba has scored within six minutes for Chelski against Blackburn at Stamford Bridge - WOW!
Chelski are off to a flyer! First Drogs scores his 23rd goal of the season and now Sheva has struck a shot straight at Friedel. They've already reduced ManYoo's lead to three points before the league leaders have kicked off against Watford.
Watford and Charlton will be looking to pick up some points on West Ham today against ManYoo and Bolton respectively.
Southhampton are finally one up against Sheffield Wednesday after having two goals in the first ten minutes ruled out.
Hi Bob, I am here listening to United on the computer and watching bloody Chelski score in the first five minutes
Great save by Brad.
United go close in the opening minute with Solskjaer.
Let's hope United don't do the same as they did at home to Sunderland last season.
They drew nil nil
Heya Dave - I'm still basking in that Leeds win from yesterday.
The 365 commentators have mentioned that Paul Robinson has nearly given up a howler. He really is in crap form these days. It's unfortunate, because I think it might allow "Calamity" back into the frame. Your thoughts?
Did you hear that Ronaldo has been signed by AC Milan for 78 million? Crazy money!
I agree with James. He deserves it.
Newcastle have just gone ahead of Villa, make the two nil.
Bolton have scored against Charlton.
COME ON UNITED, GET A GOAL
78 MILLION!!!!
Just as well. It would be nice to see Charlton lose today. Watford? How about a draw. I don't want them to gain too much on West Ham, but I want to keep it tight at the top.
I assume that dollars.
SHUT IT
I assume that dollars.
Hey, I'm a neutral. What can I say? I want to keep the Premiership exciting to watch.
Come on Rovers
What a run and what a tackle
Which match are you watching?
Chelski Blackburn.
Off the line from Chelski
Charlton have tied it up
Blackburn have had a few chances in the last few minutes.
Bugger! I'm done with Charlton - they need to keep us company in the Coke next season.
Both teams are having their chances so far at Stamford Bridge
Blackburn are a bit different from what they've been the past this year with Benni McCarthy up front.
PENALTY TO UNITED!!!!!!!
Ronaldo to take it.
Foul on Solskjaer by Demerit
Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!!
Lampard has taken a knock
He needed treatment but is back on but he seems to be hurting
Shame. I like Jay Demerit. I'm hoping he can add a bit of steel to the U.S. defense.
What about whatever his name is that went to Newcastle?
Keep your "shame" to yourself
Yeah, Oguchi Onyewu. I don't rate him. He completely lost Jan Koller for the first Czech goal and then gave away a penalty against Ghana. I thought it was hilarious that Chelski were sniffing around him to replace Terry while he was injured. Newcastle can have him - they love dodgy center backs!
What about Southhampton's Gareth Bale. I hear that you lot, Chelski and the Arse are sniffing around him. Any thoughts?
I totally agree, he is no Bob Dahlgren.
Are you not at home to watch the match?
Villa have scored
Yeah, it's the first for the club from Ashley Young, who just signed from Watford.
Ashley Young, their signing from Watford, opens his Villa account
JINX
Home? What's that - no I'm in the office in Gville. I only see home on the weekends.
Sorry about that!!!
WBA have scored against Plymouth
On the teaching front, I did my first visit as a supervisor of student teaching interns on Monday. Great stuff - I really enjoyed it. Ever worked with student teachers?
No, I have actually never had a student teacher. People say I should but I have never gotten around to it.
Half time at the Bridge.
Of course FSC hasn't reached it.
I don't know why, they started the show 15 minutes before KO
I had a couple when I was teaching up in Massachusetts. I enjoyed it. Obviously, it gives you a period or two off and mentoring can be rewarding.
The two I watched the other day were hilariously bad. It reminded me of how shite I was at first.
Back to the footie.....
Cheltenham take a shock lead at Ashton Gate through Damian Spencer to make it 1-0.
Actually the kickoff time for the Chelski match was 7:45 GMT, so they should be right on.
Ashley Young has nearly scored an equalizer for villa.
365 comments: "Watford are being outclassed at Old Trafford and just have everybody behind the ball." Big surprise!
Half time at the Emirates
Scoreless.
I am listening to it on manutd.com
United are all over them but not getting a lot of chances.
There is no one near the United goal
What do you think about West Ham gettin Upson for about 7.5 million
Vidic could have had a hat-trick of headers this half.
It's a good move. I never quite understood why the Arse let him go so cheaply. He's a good player and Birmingham will miss them when they're in the Prem next season.
Did you watch Fox Football Fone In?
Don't you understand that Vidic won't be allowed to score in the Premiership. Last weekend should have shown you that!
No, I don't have access to FSC down here during the week. I typically listen to the lads just about every day on World Soccer Daily - they're radio show/podcast. So, I basically know what they're talking about during the week. I'm listening to them right now - yesterday's show.
Interesting comment on 365: "Spurs prove what a shambles they are. They meant to leave Lennon out of the squad entirely, but forgot to inform the officials. They wanted to put Lee Young-Pyo on the bench but didn't. Lennon is too ill to play any part, so Spurs effectively have four players on the bench."
Incredible, eh?
Lots of chances for young Theo in the big derby. Still 0-0 and it looks likely now that Arsenal will join Chelski in the final.
Rosicky has replaced Walcott after what 365 calls "another disappointing performance." A bit unfair on the lad.
Clichy has replaced Traore who's gone down with cramp. Arsene's played a savvy game this afternoon, not sacrificing too many first team players to the cause and yet probably still getting the desired result.
Frank Lampard has scored a second for Chelski - what sounds like a standard Frank Lampard rocket shot.
GOAL - Arsenal 1 Spurs 0. Adebayor effectively kills off the game in the 77th minute.
