Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

F.A. Cup 5th Round Draw!

The draw for the 5th Round of the F.A. Cup was made this morning. All that groping around for plastic balls in a velvet bag produced this list of fixtures:

Chelsea v Blackpool / Norwich City
Watford v Ipswich Town
Preston North End v Manchester City
Plymouth Argyle v Derby County
Manchester United v Reading
Arsenal / Bolton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers
Bristol City / Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion
Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

Fixtures will be played the weekend of February 17th.

Comments, gents?

Pleased with a home draw. Reading do scare me though.

Chelsea are the luckiest ones. Home to the rank outsiders

Might I propose a Wild Card game between the Hammers and my beloved Leeds United? No....? Just a thought.

We've Been Stitched Up Again!!!

I don't think we've played a lower division club in either the Carling or the FA Cup. It's supposed to be a lottery, but it's been one mangy Prem club after another, Liverpool withstanding only the mangy bit. Molotovs through their car windshields and bollocks to the FA for this transparent fix.

I'd say play the lads in the replay and tank it. Let the Goblin hoarde and Borstal Rovers kick 7 shades of sh**te out of each other. We don't need any season ending injuries and that's what playing this collection of mutts consecutively adds up to. No glory-and no injuries.

Let the sheepshaggers play these two for us.

Unbeliveable.
