Cricket World Cup Update
The Super Eights stage ended on Friday and, sadly, England bowed out, albeit with a thrilling last ball win over the hosts West Indies, who were also eliminated. "Who's still in this," you ask? I'm here to enlighten you. The semi-finals will be held Tuesday and Wednesday this week:
Tuesday - Sri Lanka vs. NZ
Wednesday - Australia vs. S. Africa
This will be followed by the final match next Saturday, which will likely be an all-antipodean affair. Anyone else out there following this stuff?

I am rooting for New Zealand.
They have never won it before so they get my vote.
Well, they've started well today. Sri Lanka are 87/2 after 21 overs.
They are not doing too well right now.
Sri Lanka ended up with 289 for 5 after 50 overs
NZ are 32-2 after 10
As for the footer, a GREAT START and now it has gone all pear shaped!!!
Still 45 minutes to go!!!
We're back into it!!
Come on... get another one!!!
NZ are 65-2 after 16 overs
Still 2-2 in the football
NZ are up to 82-2
YES!!!!!!!!!!
ROONEY IN INJURY TIME!!!!
I will take a win.
Great comeback from United.
As for NZ, they lose two quick wickets.
112 for 4. It's over
I am off to work
I am happy but not thrilled.
"antipodean" . . . that had me scurrying to the OED.
Glad to give the OED a workout, Sir Trev.
Good win for your lot today, Dave, even if it will be on a knife's edge next week in Milan.
Sorry I wasn't around to watch the festivities today. I'll be glued to the Liverpool-Chelski match tomorrow. Hope you'll join me then.
A shock victory for the Lankans today - the Aussies will be pissing themselves laughing tonight. Should be an easy win tomorrow and on Saturday. In the end, England was involved in the two most exciting matches in the tourney got nothing out of it, while the Oz have murdered everyone in sight. They're just too good.
