Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Footie Trivia Question of the Week

It's been a while since the last trivia spot, so to welcome Davey back from Blighty, here's a real skull scratcher:

"Which player is the top goalscorer in the history of the Premiership...of own goals?"

Any ideas, lads?

Alright, you shiftless lot, here's a hint. He's included in this stash of great own goals.

Apologies for the bad dancehall reggae soundtrack, but there are some corkers in here. My favorite in the Lee Dixon lob over David Seaman. It's a cracking goal - shame that it was in his own net!

Classic goal by Dixon. Are you sure it was against Seaman? I thought it was agains Lukic.

I would say Sinclair. He has scored some crackers for Chelsea and Leicester

You are the trivia savant, mate. It is indeed Frank Sinclair with eight - count them! - eight own goals in his Premiership career with Chelski. No doubt why he's now plying his trade in the Coke.

Sinclair's followed by Jimi Traore (Liverpool/Portsmouth) on 5 and your lad Rio on 4.

I'll have to review the tape again for the Dixon goal. I just assumed it was Seaman, but you may be right.
