Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Is ManYoo the New Chelski?

ManYoo have just won the Premiership but they're not wasting any time during the "close season." The Glazers have just laid out a cool £50 million for their long sought-after Owen Hargreaves plus two Portugeezers Nani and Anderson to keep Skippy company in the dressing room. Good move, Dave? And who's the most nervous player in the camp now? My money's on Michael Carrick.

Your thoughts, gents?

Looks like the Hammers have signed Scott Parker too which is very good business.

That's if Scottie Parker can stay fit enough to ever see the pitch. Honestly the guy's so frail that the ball-boy could nobble him.

Speaking of deals, the players are flying out of Elland Road these days. The most recent (and inevitable)....David Healey on his way to Premiership climes.

It really is amazing that you've held onto Healey this long. I know you despair seeing him leave, but realistically, there's no way he was going into the third tier. But you can't allow the kind of fire sale you allowed when you dropped out of the Prem.

Get a bunch of money for him and pick up some guys that will scrap their way out back into the Championship.
