Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Some intriguing match-ups today:
Everton vs. Arsenal
The Hammers vs. United
Chelsea vs. Newcastle
and of course....
Swansea vs. Leeds!
I am here but I may have to move in the bedroom, away from my computer, to watch the match.
I have a new cable box and it isn't booting up as quick as I had hoped.
I can still listen to United on the computer. Kathy gave me headphones that I can listen to the computer and go around the house.
Tevez and Saha to start up front for United. Rooney not on the bench
Good to have you on board, Inspector Gadget!
I don't get it.
I was able to listen to United on Boxing Day. Now I can't.
I AM REALLY BUMMED
Sorry about that, mate. Welcome to my world. I haven't had chance to see or listen to Leeds live since that bloody FA Cup 1st round match a couple of months ago.
Btw, who've you lot got in the Cup?
I'd take a draw against the Swans today.
For the fourth time in seven years
VILLA
Berbatov with an early goal for Spurs
Tricky one for the 3rd round.
Fulham have gone one up at St. Andrews
Uh oh, Swansea score an early one
Yeah, Carlos Bocanegra. If it weren't for the Yanks, Fulham would be dead and buried. Spurs are effectively out of the relegation battle, I don't see Reading getting dragged back into it, so it's basically going to be Derby relegated along with two of three from Sunderland, Fulham and Wigan.
Bugger!
As I said, I'd take a point today.
From 365: "Hayden Mullins' shot cannons off the crossbar and falls at the feet of Mark Noble, who somehow manages to fire wide of an empty Manchester United goal."
Well, you're wish could be granted.
Beckford has tied it up after 12 min.
Lovely jubbly. That's his fifteenth in the league this season. Top of the scoring charts.
RONALDO!!!!!!!
Sounds like a training pitch goal. Are you going to run riot again like on Wednesday?
Sunderland have taken the lead against Bolton
Reading have tied it up at WHL
Nice one. Bristol Rovers are already 2-0 up on Carlisle which helps us tremendously.
Loads of goals today.
I would take another run of four goal games like we had earlier.
From 365: "Nicky Shorey's free-kick is punched into the path of Kalifa Cisse by Paul Robinson. The Reading midfielder composes himself and fires home to draw the away side level. That was awful goalkeeping by the Spurs number one."
Oh dear, Robbo's having a 'mare again.
Wonder where Fabio is right now.
Boro have scored at Fratton Park
The San Siro?
Uh oh, the Swans are two one up
Double bugger! What a ding dong!
Bloody hell, Titus Bramble has scored for Wigan! What on earth is going on with Villa?
From 365: "Michael Essien runs onto a long throw and taps the ball into an empty net to give Chelsea the lead against Newcastle. That was shambolic defending from Sam Allardyce's side."
Chelsea one up.
Goals in every Premier League match now.
Are United even getting out of second gear with the Hammers today?
Well, there are no goals at Goodison.
Of course, the game doesn't kick off for another two hours!!
Happy Keano.
Two nil up
I want a second from my lot
2-0 Sunderland. Kenwyne Jones. That could be a priceless win for Keano's lads.
From 365: "Nolberto Solano's shot from 25 yards is tipped over the top of the Manchester United bar by Tomasz Kuszczak."
Go on, Nobby!
Leeds have dropped to fourth as Orient scored.
I have my TV working now.
Chelski still one up
SWP should have scored with a back post header
2 min of added time at The Bridge
Way hay - the Swans have had one player sent off. They're down to ten men.
Well done, Inspector!
El Hadji Diouf has pegged one back for Bolton.
Half time at Stamford Bridge
I needed help!!!
My lot have reached half time.
Only one goal in the half. How disappointing
Chelsea's goal was a real scrappy affair and the defending was shocking
Bugger - a third goal for Swansea right before half time. It's a big hole to dig out of but I'm confident.
Come on you Whites!
Remember, we're not in Leeds time yet
Almost a fantastic own goal by Nicky Butt. A great shot from the top of the box and tipped over by Given.
The Toon are holding on by the skin of their teeth
AND NEWCASTLE SCORE!!!!!
Butt scrambles it in.
His own goal would have been more spectacular. It may have been an own goal by Joe Cole though
Spurs are now losing to Reading
It may have been Bridge who scored the own goal. I wonder if Butt will get the credit
Villa have tied it up at Wigan
And we've scratched one back against Swansea through our captain Alan Thompson.
Something is up with the Sky website.
My score central is not working. I can't keep up to date with the scores.
The Sky website itself won't open.
Birmingham have tied it up as well.
Let's hope West Ham don't continue the trend.
Sorry Sir Trev
Sorry about that, Inspector.
The Toon are putting on the pressure right now
Leyton Orient have been pegged back and we're back up into third. A good start to the half.
Listen you Sarky old goat!!!
How about your buddy Neil Warnock at Palace. They beat his old team Sheffield United at Bramell Lane.
They are unbeaten in 12 games. They were in the relegation zone and now they are one place below the playoffs.
Now, now, Inspector. No need to get heated. Your lot are still leading, aren't they?
Some boos around The Bridge as Joe Cole has been taken off for Pizzaro
Spurs have tied it up
Pizarro is pants.
1623: "West Ham are outplaying United."
Who cares... one nil
Duff was almost in. A last ditch clearance stops him for putting The Toon in the lead
Penalty to United.
United old Yank Spector handles the ball in the box.
Come on Ronaldo.
HE MISSES.
He sends it wide!!!
That's the first time I can remember him missing. I wish he'd done that against England.
Sky is back
You never told me that Leeds got a second!!
Wee Mikey is coming on for Martins
Reading have taken the lead again at WHL
Carlisle are three down
Chelsea are on the back foot
Villa have taken the lead
Bollocks is coming off for Sinclair
Chelsea fans are not pleased with the last two substitutions.
They are yelling "You don't know what you're doing?
I thought that was the Toon Army's chant?
Spurs have tied it up. A Hat-trick for Berba
Wait it a minute Reading have taken a 4-3 lead... wait a minute it is now 4-4!!!!!
1634: GOAL Tottenham 4-4 Reading
1633: GOAL Tottenham 3-4 Reading
What scenes these are from White Hart Lane. Dave Kitson is sent clean through and he keeps his cool to clip the ball expertly over Paul Robinson and put Reading back in front...
1631: GOAL Tottenham 3-3 Reading
Dimitar Berbatov completes his hat-trick, skipping past a couple of challenges and burying the ball past Marcus Hahnemann.
Two 4-4s in the space of 3 days!!!
I'll take my boring 1-0
OH MY GOD
SPURS 5 READING 4
BUGGER BUGGER BUGGER
ANTON Ferdinand has tied it up!!
United have been hammered today by The Hammers
United have had 4 shots and only one on target. WH have had 11 and 4
Our Daily Red Card at St. Andrews.
Bouazza is sent off for Fulham
West Ham have scored again!!
Spurs have scored SIXTH
BUGGER
A scrappy goal from Chelsea
Definitely not deserved. IT WAS OFFSIDE
TWO PLAYERS ARE OFFSIDE
The ball is has hit an offside Pizzaro and deflected to Kalou who is also offside.
UNBELIEVABLE
Forest are losing 3-0
Chelsea's goal is an absolute joke.
Unbelievable decision
Not a good day.
Chelsea have won!!!
OK, Hands up everyone who's sick of watching Chelsea play like s**t week-in, week-out, and then get let off the hook by some third-rate tosser like Mike Riley and his blind crew of assistants? Honestly, I think they may have in excess of 10 points that have been given them by incompetent officials this year.
That's it. I'm not watching Chelsea again this season, bar possibly when the Gunners play them. They're boring, boring, boring, and their current position in the table has been given them unfairly by officials that you wouldn't trust on Hackney Marsh.
Unbelievable.
Bloody UPTON PARK!!! We lose for a second year in a row at that bloody place!!!!
It would have been different if Ronny had slotted home the pen.
Spurs win a boring 6-4 game.
Villa beat Wigan.
And Dahlgren has buggered off.
Couldn't agree more
Sunderland have sealed the points with a late third.
What's the deal down at S**te Hart Lane? They playing indoors 5-a-side today? That's not a football score.
Good Lord, I just saw that Robbie Keane managed to miss a penalty as well. It could have been 7-4!!!
WTF?
Not a good day for Bob either.
Leeds go down 3-2 but at least Carlisle and Forest both get hammered.
Actually Defoe put in the rebound of Keane's penalty kick.
What is going on at Pompey?
They lose at home to Boro
Sorry I got bumped off the laptop there. Not a good day for either of us, mate. Maybe Gooner will be happy in a couple of hours.
Hope not
Interesting from the BEEB
1723: "If Everton beat an understrength Arsenal team and Liverpool win their two games in hand, the top four will be on 45, 44, 42 and 41 points respectively. Has there ever been closer top four at the halfway stage of the Premiership?"
Anonymous via text
Everton score.
Not very good defending from a corner.
Yakubu or Cahill with a scramble.
The announcers at Goodison give it to Cahill
Good news for you lot.
Everton are playing well.
They are a good team. I am glad we are done with them!!!
Do you know that United have lost to the BLOODY HAMMERS THREE GAMES ON THE TROT!!!!!
When has that happened with United and anyone?
You know that United have their bogey teams just like everyone else. It used to be Southhampton, now it's the Hammers. Get used to it - you're STILL ON TOP!
Arsenal get back on level terms.
Eduardo's eighth goal of the season but first in the Prem.
Long ball Bolton style goal for The Arse
From the Beeb
1823: GOAL Everton 1-1 Arsenal
Well now I really have seen everything. Arsenal go route one - I'll say it again, Arsenal go route one, Gael Clichy pumping a 50-yard ball downfield, Phil Jagielka misses the ball, Eduardo da Silva chests it down and has time to deliberate before poking it past Tim Howard. What a teamtalk from Wenger!
He's done it again.
Eduardo with his second
2-1 to the Arsenal
Sad news from Scotland
A 35 year old Motherwell player collapsed and died.
AJ on for Everton
Red Card
Bendtner with a Red Card. I think it was a second yellow but it could have been a red.
What a defensive error from Everton. Absolutely NEWCASTLISH
Arteta with a straight red.
A swinging an elbow. I don't think Cesc is that badly hurt.
A comprehensive second half display by the Arse. Congratulations Stevo, top of the league at the New Year.
Cheers fellas
Wow, four goals in the second half from the Arse. Wallop!
Bring on the New Year!
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson:
"I have no complaints. We were beaten by the better team."
Sweet . . .
