Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Shattered Dreams

In honor of the reunion tour of our favorite 80s pop group, here's another peek at the fab UK video for "Shattered Dreams." For my money there's a bit too much of the poseur lead singer and not enough of the guitarist, but it's still a classic. Enjoy!

By the way, the first comment on the You Tube site under this clip said this about the recent tour:

"Nice video...but well I almost couldn't recognise them when they performed live in a combined 80's concert together with Limahl, Paul Young, Howard Jones and Bananarama, just recently in Genting Highlands, Malaysia. The lead singer, sure has put on a few pounds and has bleached blond hair. The other one, playing the keyboards has no hair left! The only one looking quite the same was the guitarist..."

Thanks a lot!! Why the first Shat Dreams vid? Should have shown the great David Fincher remake......still the original is much funnier I agree.
Loved the comment from Malaysia!!!!

I like the UK version better, David Fincher or not. It's got that great 80s quality with the narrative in there of the dancer that doesn't really have anything to do with the song. It reminds of that Hugh Grant movie "Music and Lyrics," which features a great 80s-style vid at the start. Check it out.
