Premiership Saturday
How many goals will ManYoo put by Derby? How many yellow cards will the Reading cloggers pick up trying to kick Torres and Gerrard? Can the Hammers avoid another four goal thumping? Can Leeds pick up some pace on their playoff rivals? All these and plenty other questions will answered next. I look forward to the pleasure of your company.

I am here of course.
Foster in goal for United
Rio out
Ron, Roon, Giggs and Scholes all in
Morning, Dave. Turn on your Skype!
Sorry that the Skype connection wasn't working very well. I wanted to let you know the good news. You may well be seeing a bit more of me soon.
I am excited
Get your parka ready!!!
I am listening to Five Live and it is England Ireland in Rugby. It isn't being blacked out so I am going to keep it up for all the updates.
FSC nearly miss the kick-off but the pictures do seem to be live this week rather than on a four minute delay. Hurrah!
Giggs already has a shot well saved by Carroll
What a goal!!!!
As predicted, FIve Live is right on top of the goals. They are announcing the Reading goal. You're right, it seems to be on time and 4 minutes old on FSC
Ireland just scored a try
United dominating at Pride Park
Both teams getting chances at The Stadium of Light
Sir Trev, if you are out there,
West Ham are NOT losing 4-0 at this moment!!
Sunderland 0 Chelsea 1
John Terry with his first goal of the season
Tremendous contest here between Hunt and Arbeloa. So far - advantage Hunt.
Pompey have taken the lead against Villa
Defoe again
Terry's goal was is his first goal since the the first game of last season
NO goals for United after 15 minutes
What a useless pass!! That was such a chance for another Reading goal
Swansea are losing to Northampton
Stevie G. and Torres are linking up beautifully here. It's a joy to watch the Reds in this mood. But they're still one down. For how long? Great match so far.
Oooh, I just turned on Sport Extra and the United game is on.
Lovely jubbly
Another great goal, this time by Costa Del Pool
GOAL! Mascherano with his first for Pool and it's a thumper. What a cracking game this is! 1-1.
Graham Taylor says that United should have had four so far!!
Blackburn have scored at Upton Park.
YIKES! Three more?
Luton are in front against Oldham. That helps us.
Luton have scored against Oldham
Ipswich have scored against Charlton
Why didn't Liverpool shoot from that free kick
Swansea are two down
Sports Extra seems to be behind.
They are now announcing the Blackburn goal.
1523: Goals everywhere except Pride Park. You couldn't make it up.
Swansea are three down.
Hey lads, I've been felled by the flu virus . . . At least we have a cracker on FSC! . . .
Swansea 3-0 down! Unbelievable!
Hey, Trev. Sorry you're not feeling well. What's going on with the Happy Hammers?
Welcome Sir Trev.
Sorry for my four goal comments earlier
COME ON UNITED!! GET A GOAL!!!
Definitely off side there
Sounds like Derby have the full-on defending the castle approach today, with a flaming moat, sentries at the drawbridge, and vats of boiling oil to tip on Ronaldo and Rooney. Still no goals.
The Swans have a goal back
What is with Wales lately?
Swansea running away with League 1
Cardiff in the Cup Semi Final
Wales could win the Grand Slam today
He's scarpered again....!
"His name is brave Sir Trevor, Sir Trevor, brave was he. When dangered reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his back and ran." La la la.
Still no goals at Pride Park after 30 minutes.
Of course, Chelsea didn't score until 28 mid week
Still no goals at Port Vale and outshooting us. (sigh)
Luton are two up against Oldham
Luton are three up. Now Leeds, do your job
The Swans have got one back.
1535: Ryan Giggs has just taken two of the worst free-kicks I've ever seen.
Do you read any of my postings!!!!
I announced the Swans goal a while back!!
Tranmere has scored
Sorry, mate. My wireless is a bit slow today.
From 365: "Ronaldo almost gives Manchester United the lead at Derby but Roy Carroll makes a fantastic stop to keep the score at 0-0."
United old boy frustrated the MUFC.
Bloody Hell, Foster has had to make two great saves within 30 seconds!!
Leeds have scored!!
POmpey are two up
Time for Giggsy to hang up his boots, don't you think?
HEADLINE!!!
West Ham will NOT lose 4-0. They have tied it up through Ashton
Lovely jubbly! Rui Marques. His first for the club, I think. Probably a header from a corner or maybe a long strike.
Derby almost score again.
It has been their best five minutes of the season!!
Giggs has his moments but still valuable
Well done, the Hammers. They've responded well to going behind for a change. It had seemed as if they'd stopped trying once they'd reached the 40 point mark.
Leeds score another but Southend score to take the lead
Make that 0-2! Dougie Freedman!
Rooney should have scored but hits the side netting.
Sir Alex will give them a rollocking at half time
Even though SAF is famous for his talks, lately if United have struggled in the first half they have continued to do so in the second half
That's alright. We're back up into the sixth playoff spot with Tranmere behind and Forest and Walsall drawing. That's definitely the best result for us today - I'll take a 0-0 between them.
Stevie G. should have been given a card for that tackle on the steward.
Half time.
Half-time at Anfield - 1-1. Great match and a couple of great goals for a change on FSC.
United are being held at half.
The only game with no goals!!
I loved it and the steward will probably have photos taken and framed of the bruises that he just received.
Cambridge United have taken a late lead.
Hi Mike and Tony if you are there.
Tony just emailed me. He is spying on us!!!
Wotcher Tone!
This is for my Chelski supporter brother
1559: "You don't realise how much Chelsea whinge to the ref until you see them live."
Dave at Sunderland, via text
LITTLE BABIES!!!
Which brother supports Chelski?
Second half starting...let's have some more great goals!
Mike is at Worlington now and they are both spying.
Can they comment Bob?
Great goals at Pride Park that is
Torres with a headed goal!! How can they let him get a free header??
Torres! The boy just can't stop scoring!
Yeah, if they have a Google account, they can stick in that information or you can send me they're email addresses and I'll send out invitations to them. I'd love to get them on board the LOB.
Twenty goals for Torres now, just ahead of Adebayor and just behind Ronaldo in Premier League goals.
United struggling again. I called it
Did you read that Boys?
Do you want to?
Email me
Derby are the better team says Sports Extra
Carlisle have taken the lead
I'm also trying to get Steve Caldwell back on board. He's on Soccer Flow now.
How is it possible that Derby are the better side. Your Sunday league side is better than Derby!
Stevie G almost put Reading in with a pinpoint pass
Ipswich are two up against Charlton
Forest take the lead
Ron just had a good shot saved.
COME ON UNITED!!!
Swansea are four one down
Ron has a header cleared of the line.
COME ON UNITED!!
Babbel has been terrific today. I reckon that Rafa has finally discovered his best side, with Babbel and Kuyt running wide, Stevie G. bombing forward through the middle, Torres up front and Mascherano holding. Once they get Agger back, they'll be frightening.
Orient are one up at Millwall
Agger is out for the season
Walsall have tied it up with Forest
Yeah, I know, but next season they could really do something with this side. They're a bit porous with the current back four but with Agger and Carragher as the center backs, they'd be solid IMHO.
Ronaldo takes a free kick from 35 yrds and it goes just wide
Any luck with Mike and Tony?
Well done, Walsall!
Boys, email me
Swindon have tied it up with Carlisle
Have you tried Soccer Flow? It's quite good.
Brighton have taken the lead against Doncaster
Carrick and Saha are on for Park and Scholes.
Scholes has been useless lately
Not yet with Soccerflow
COME ON UNITED!!!!
What happened there. A Reading player was substituted and it seemed like he threw his shirt off. Stevie Coppell won't be happy with that.
How can Derby play like this against US!!!
Tranmere are two up
Looks Coppell right after him
No one wants to win the Championship
Bristol City are losing
WBA are losing
Both at home
Watford and Stoke are drawing against each other
Not a bad day for us so far. Of the top eight, only Southend and Tranmere are leading...and us, of course.
Just over 20 minutes for United to win
Leeds have conceded a goal
If you're going to throw off your shirt in disgust, you'd better have the stature of a Maradona or Cantona or Bremner or Keegan.
What's going on?
From 365: "Mile Sterjovski almost gives Derby a stunning 1-0 lead against Manchester United but Foster tips over."
What is going on at Pride Park!!!!
Bloody Hell, Port Vale have tied it up
UNited are pathetic. They can't pass to each other.
How did that happen? They just scored a penalty and now they're 2-2?
Fletcher is about to come on
Reading's goalscorer comes off - will he chuck his shirt in Coppell's face? No.
Come on you Whites!
16 minutes to go at Pride Park
I am officially nervous!!!
I hope your not talking Derby white?
Fletcher is on for Anderson
YES!!!
RONALDO WITH THE GOAL!!!!!!!!
PHEW!!!!
This is Tony's address
totonociny@yahoo.co.uk
From 365: "Manchester United finally break the deadlock at Derby. Wayne Rooney, possibly offside, crosses for Ronaldo who sidefoots home."
Bugger
1635: Kenwyne Jones has a glorious chance to draw Sunderland level but the big striker heads the ball straight at Carlo Cudicini from six yards out.
Carlisle are now losing
Hi Tony, I've just sent you an invitation. Just follow the set-up procedures, add whatever info. you'd like to the profile, select a blog name and you're on. Welcome!
DId you see Tony's address
Do it Tony
West Ham have taken the lead
Young West Ham debutant Fred Sears heads home to give the Hammers a 2-1 lead over Blackburn.
Come on United, get another one
Referee change at Pride Park
Phil Dowd with a hamstring injury.
Of course, he is booed off
Come on Tony, where are you
Carlisle have tied it up.
Leeds need a goal badly
It is of course Leeds time
Pompey are down to ten men.
England fall behind 10-0 but win 33-10 in the Rugby.
Now it is Wales time to beat the French.
Come on you Whites!
1637: "I'm sat at home, laughing at Ronaldo on the verge of tears. Makes the game worth watching."
Hanna, Chelsea fan, Bath, via text
1644: (See 1637) "I'm sat at home, laughing at Ronaldo on the verge of greatness. Makes the game worth watching."
Lee, Man Utd fan, via text
YES DOUGIE FREEDMAN WITH A GOAL!!!
The Division 1 table is so congested that we've now dropped to tenth, but one goal would have us leapfrog five sides into fifth.
Into the final minute at Pride Park
United has a free kick chance from 28 yards out saved by Carroll
And there it is! You beauty! His second of the match - never heard of him, of course, but I love him already!
You have that one goal
Dougie Freeman was at Palace for a while. I know he played for them in the Premiership
Leeds time! We needed that goal and a win today against Port Vale. Really needed it.
Carroll saves again from Ronaldo.
He was pants for us!!
Greetings from Blighty .
Carlisle have drawn
Carroll comes up for a corner and it almost comest to him at the top of the box.
Ipswich win
Liverpool win
PHEW!!!!
It is over at Pride Park
Derby 0 United 1
United are on top for a couple of hours anyway.
I am going to change it on my table
OH NO
Port Vale has scored in the 94th minute!!
Last kick of the game
Sorry mate
Chelski win 1-0
Curses - Luke Rodgers gives Port Vale a dramatic last-gasp equaliser against Leeds. 3-3.
Are you sticking around for the Arse?
Pompey and West Ham have won
I am here. I am going to give the computer for a few minutes to Kathy
Tony, are you joining for the Arse match?
Tell me if I'm doing it
right .
Hi Bob from tony and Mike .
WELL DONE TONY
I will be back in a few minutes!
Welcome, Tony and Mike! It's great to have you on board.
Really sorry about the
Leeds result !!!
I think I will stick around
for the Arsenal game .
Cheers, Dave.
So, Tony, how are things in Worlington? Are you able to watch these matches or is there still a blackout on matches on Saturdays?
If you have Sky you can
get the morning game and
if you have Setanta you can
get the evening game . But
not the 3:00 games .
Apart from that Worlington
is fine . How about you ?
Here are the sides:
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Eboue, Fabregas, Flamini, Hleb, Adebayor, Van Persie
Subs: Lehmann, Senderos, Silva, Bendtner, Walcott
Middlesbrough: Schwarzer, Young, Huth, Wheater, Pogatetz, O'Neil, Shawky, Boateng, Downing, Sanli, Aliadiere
Subs: Turnbull, Arca, Mido, Cattermole, Taylor
Referee: Mark Halsey (Lancashire)
Doing alright, Tony. I'm about three months from finishing my degree and just got an offer for my first college job at a school about six hours from Dave. SUNY Fredonia - a hour south of Buffalo.
I never knew you as a Chelsea fan. Is that recent or were you always a Blue?
We've now got a full representation of the big four on the blog. Dave with ManYoo, of course, my brother with the Gunners, and Steve Caldwell with Pool. Apart from that we've got John Menditto, who's a Happy Hammer, Greg Dosedel who's a Tractor Boy, and I'm bringing up the bottom of the pack supporting my beloved Leeds United, currently languishing mid-table in Division 1.
A couple of close ones there for the Arse and they're starting to click through the gears. Boro's defense looks poor without Woody back there.
Sounds a bit cold compared to Florida
Is Dave back yet ?
I am back, Kathy was playing Scrabble with Debs on her account
Adebayor's goal should have counted.
It will be. I've had to readjust to the cold weather as I've gone on these on-campus interviews. It's all about trade-offs. After my time in Boston, I really enjoy the Northeast and look forward to the seasons changing. All we get down here is bloody hot and hurricane season.
Don't know where Dave's gone off to - I'm sure he'll be back, though. With all the coaching he does, he often pops off to watch a game and then comes back on.
Welcome back, mate. I agree. Adebayor was well on side. I don't know why they can't get those decisions right.
A rasper of a drive from Eboue, well saved there by Schwarzer.
I don't have to ask Dave what result he wants out of this match, but how about you, Tony? Any sympathy for the silky stylings of Arsene Wenger's men or do you just want Arsenal pegged back so that Chelski can gain on them?
Are the Nocito boys watching the Rugby as we are watching the Footer?
Wales are beating the French.
I started liking Chelski because I
liked Peter Osgood . And when we beat
your lot in the FA cup .
If it hadn't been for Abramovich we
would be keeping you company in
league 1 . But I'm still mad with
Chelski about Mourinho ! So I don't
care if they win or not at the moment
Make sure you say that you have a soft spot for my lot!!
Not much of a profile you left on the LOB site
Ooh, 1970 - don't bring that one up. Even 38 years later, it still stings. I did like Osgood, though. But don't get me started on Dave Webb and Chopper Harris.
I'm not sure that Chelski would be as far down as us without Roman's cash but certainly it has thrust you into the reckoning for trophies. Chelski would probably be like Spurs.
Did you see that United's game with Bolton is on live on Wednesday at 4?
I never did pick up a yen for the rugger. Cricket, yes, but not rugger.
When Roman buggers off they will be down with you.
Lovely. I'll be watching! When do the clocks go forward in Britain then?
Me neither but I did for the Six Nations(well Five Nations when we were there)
Did you see that England are 400+ up with two days to bowl NZ out but one of their bowlers did in his ankle playing football at the end of the day
I'm watching the rugby even though
I don't really like it . Mikes gone
upstairs .
If Chelsea can't win it then I always
go for Man U just for Dave . Aren't
I a nice big brother
What a turn up!!
Boro take the lead at The Emirates
An Arsenal old boy gets the goal.
Was he offside?
GOAL! Unbelievable. Jeremie Ali-ad-a-mare scores against his old club. Boro 1-0 up!
More than a whiff of offside there.
Wenger will not be pleased especially after Adebayor's goal should have counted because it came off a defender.
Good thing that the Gooner is in North Carolina with the in-laws and away from FSC coverage today. He would not like to see that goal.
Tell Mike to come back!!
When does he go to Malaysia or wherever it is?
When does his concert tour start?
I do the same thing with the Arsenal and my brother. I've also got a soft spot for Spurs, whom my dad supports, West Ham and Fulham because of all of the Yanks there. I'd also like to see Newcastle get out of trouble, but that seems a hopeless situation.
I like all those teams except Arsenal.
I am actually rooting for Leeds these days. Will wonders never cease!!
Re-cricket ! What kind of looney
would let your in form bowler play
football in the middle of a test ?
I'd love to see that tour. Did you ever see that Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore film "Music and Lyrics?" There's a video at the beginning of the film that reminds me of those great 80s videos.
Couldn't agree more
What about the clock change Tony
Sir Ian Botham, right? Didn't he have a shortlived footie career at Scunthorpe?
Tottenham host Chelsea on Wednesday as well
Bloody Setanta probably have that one.
Yeah, you root for us when we're forty eight spots below you, right?
Penalty there for the Arse? I've seen them given.
Pogatetz - I love that name!
