I have my ATDHE link going strong.
Everton have a few early chances
Five gone and no goals

Blogger gooner71 said...

I've got the derby up on the atdhe site and it's a wee picture, but very clear and it's got Andy Gray so I'm settled in.

One chance so far, Lescott mistimed header from a corner still stranded Reina in no-man's land.

It's end to end stuff so far. Torres and Keane up front for Liverpool. Anichebe up top for the Toffees.

Can anyone tell me why Liverpool want to let an Italian club take Agger off their hands. Martin Skyrtl isn't nearly as good an option and Hyppia is creakier than me.

Hiya Davey,

Enjoying the day off?

My link just disappeared. I am trying to get it back

3:11 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Loving it, but almost over

3:11 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Of course, you can make it full screeen

3:12 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Still can't get the link back

Have you lost the link from ATDHE?

3:16 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Michael Owens' dad played for Everton? True?

3:16 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

yes. ATDHE is dead at the moment. The Iraqgoals one up there is the best I found.

3:17 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Cheers, still a little jumpy

The iraqi one has Martyn Tyler

3:17 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Before I lost the link, it was really free flowing end-to-end. Now it's a slog in the midfield. I liked the former better.

3:18 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

So the Ad link was lost, like me?

3:19 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Ian Rush should regrow the 'tash. His hooter is overwhelming without something else to look at. TBF, he brought along Phil "The Beak" Thompson to distract, but he really should regrow the 'tash.

3:20 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Yes, one minute the Ad link was great, the next it couldn't reload and was gone. I'll check again if this one keeps jumping.

3:21 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Couldn't agree more

3:21 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

20 minutes gone and no goals. The link you gave me is very choppy. How about yours?

3:23 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

I've thought that if the Arse was to go raiding English clubs for players, Arteta, Yobo, and Lescott would be good targets. I can see all of them fitting in well and us being the better off for having them.

I like Cahill too, but he's not skillful enough to keep possession in our ground game.

3:24 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I have been checking all the time. I will let you know when it works

3:24 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Do you think Everton would sell to Arsenal. They are right behind you in the table

Blogger gooner71 said...

bollocks to this.

Hey, did I get it wrong. Are you lot up against Derby today?

3:29 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I missed your Michael Owen comment.
I don't think he played for them. I think he played for Chester City but I think the whole family were Everton Fans

3:30 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

No, we play them tomorrow

3:31 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

I thought so too. I heard the commentator say that Owens' dad had played for Everton. I'm sure he's wrong.

3:32 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Very frustrating day so far for links. Nothing is working

3:33 PM

Hey lads; I didn't see that Gooner had started a thread here. Good to have a chance to natter on with you today.

3:33 PM

Adthe is back! Brill. Let's hope it stays on for a while now. Thirty two minutes gone and still no score.

Torres missed a sitter about ten minutes ago.

3:36 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Let's hope we can a link to work
I am trying other links from AD

I put on the Boston Bruins link. They just let a goal in with 0:00 left on the clock. It may not count!!

I'll let you know

3:36 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Anyone got a score for Leicester vs. Yeovil?

3:37 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

People are hockey mad around here. I can't see it, honestly.

3:38 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Any Owen's dad Welsh?

3:38 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

0-0 at half time

As for the Bruins, the goal was allowed.
OVERTIME!!

Who cares

Glad to see the derby is back

3:40 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

More of the same for battle of Stanley Park

3:40 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Setanta have a Scot on there but it's not Andy Gray or Lou Macari. It's some second-rate Jocko.

3:41 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

0-0 will suit me but I wouldn't mind a Yeovil upset.

3:41 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Me neither with hockey but I do think it is the most like footer of the American sports. The actually let the players react and make plays instead of calling time outs every time or calling the plays all the time

3:46 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Liverpool go close with a thunderbolt after Everton sloppily give it away. Knock it off boys

3:47 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

My guess and it's only a guess is that there's been a recent change in the format that it's broadcast so that it's possible to hack now.

I read that these streams are the free ones that Sky sends out to places in the Middle East and Asia where they're growing the game. The streams can be hacked and redirected back through a webpage. That's why if you listen on the radio, it's about 2-3 minutes off.

3:47 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Who won the toss today at this match? I know. How do I?

3:48 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Very interesting, of course some of these matches are ahead of FSC. Yesterday's game was a minute or so ahead of the TV

3:49 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Skyrtl's got nerve whining about his inability to obstruct Cahill.

3:49 PM

Half time

Well Done Everton!

More of the same please

3:50 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Oooooh, I missed that chance of Torres' where it came back off the post.

Half time and my link is playing really annoying Japanese techno. I'm for getting a snack.

3:51 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Bob, do you know how I know?

3:52 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Half time at Goodison. 0-0 would suit me; that'll net me another 15 points, bringing me up to 90 points for the weekend.

3:53 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I have no idea how you know that.

3:54 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

I have Everton beating 'Pool. I just have a funny feeling about this.

3:54 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Jimbo!

3:56 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I hope you're right Gooner

As for the toss, Liverpool won the toss without a doubt. They won it and chose to attack the Kop in the second half. They always want to attack the Kop in the second half. If I ever played them, I would always send them toward the Kop in the first half.
Of course, United always want to attack the Stretford End in the second half.

What about Arsenal? Did they used to want to attack the Clock End? What about he Emirates?
What about Leeds?

3:58 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

I don't know that there's any preference at the Emirates. But you're right about us attacking the Clock End in the 2nd Half when we were at Highbury.

Teams are back and that weather is really ugly. Sleet-snow. Ughhh.

4:06 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

It seems Arsenal prefer to attack from right to left on the TV which is the same direction as Highbury, right?

Second half has begun

Kathy just delivered me a lovely cup of tea!

4:08 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Now that you mention it, I think that it's true. But the stadium is new enough that there isn't a real "Home" end yet.

4:10 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Nice cross by the Everton full back but swallowed by Pepe

Costa could have had a penalty there. I think I would have wanted one

4:10 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Big shout there for a penalty with Torres going over in the box. Was it a push? I don't know about that.

4:10 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Bob, what about Elland Road

4:10 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Kathy, it's lemon and honey in mine.

Any chance of a biscuit too? Tah.

4:10 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Yeah, we always want to be attacking our Kop end in the second half, no doubt. I should have guessed that.

4:11 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I'll ask her

Just milk and sugar for me

4:11 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I'll have some cheddar on toast please.

4:11 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Is that going right to left? Arsenal is right to left, United is right to left.
Costa is the other way

4:12 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I had that earlier

Arteta in the book

4:12 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

29 minutes plus stoppages to stay on top!!!!

4:13 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

If Baines could have cut that back just a little bit, Cahill would have been in.

4:14 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

United play Everton at OT in a fortnight on Monday night

4:14 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

too far out for Arteta

4:15 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Free kick opportunity for Everton and Timmy Cahill here.

Good hit but well collected by Reina.

4:16 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

He does take a pop. That was difficult for Pepe

4:16 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Yeah, the Kop End at Elland Road is on the left side of the telly screen when you're watching a match.

4:17 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

first corner?

4:17 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Isn't the Stretford end down on the right when you're watching at home?

4:17 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Good save, Timmy!

4:18 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Boy that was close.

Nice save by Howard and the rebound blocked

Keep it up

4:18 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Nope, the Stretford End is on the left. Where Roon and Berba scored against Chelski

4:19 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

It is getting rough out there

4:20 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

So what do you think about Belamy off to the wrong side of Mancester?

Has Keane touched the ball?

4:24 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Thank you for that expert opinion Steve Mac

4:24 PM

Less than half an hour to go

4:25 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

This could well end up 0-0.

4:25 PM

Do either of you know how to shut down the chat window of link? I moved my blogchat window over it because it's really distracting

4:25 PM

Voronin? Dunno. I haven't seen him playing in red for ages.

4:26 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I don't have a chat window on the AD link

4:26 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I just looked him up, he is on loan at Herta Berlin

4:27 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Voronin. That's the guy. He was rubbish as a starter, but was a different style to bring on in a moment like this. I haven't seen him either which is why I asked.

4:27 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I bet you Keane will come off... he will not be pleased

4:27 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Is this Rafa's reason for wanting control of transfers. Maybe he didn't rate Robbie K at all.

4:28 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Keane was rubbish today. But Benayoun? Honestly.

4:28 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Why would Benayoun come on for a striker. They need a goal

4:29 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Everton almost in there. Wa it a pen?

BUGGER

Stevie G with a corker!!!

4:30 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

While the link is frozen, it gives me a chance to comment on the Citeh situation.

The two deals that Citeh have made in this transfer window (Bridge and Bellamy) indicate that Citeh haven't really turned the corner yet. Both are second-rate, IMHO. They've got bags of money but they won't be able to use it to pry away the best players until a few things happen. First, they'll need a world -class manager (sorry, Sparky) like Mourinho who's a proven winner. Second, they'll have to have some European competition. That's not going to happen this next season but they can start by sacking Sparky sharpish. Until they do that, Citeh will have the likes of Joe Hart, Richard Dunne and SWP in the side. And that suits me just fine.

4:30 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Typical fast break and grasscutter finish from Gerrard. Timmy, where were you there, mate?

4:30 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Nice slide there Pepe

4:31 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

my link is crystal clear

4:31 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Rafa loves Benayoun for some reason.

4:32 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Exactly David. If the ball comes lose, there must be someone with a motor to stay with Gerrard as they go forward. You just can't give him the run of the pitch.

Bob, http://my-tvfree.com/channel-10.html

4:32 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Come on Everton

Show some guts and get a goal back

4:33 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Very calm by the little Neviller

4:34 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

My picture is in and out but it's a good link overall. Commentary is steady.

4:36 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I'm still frozen here. Whenever I click on the link, the little pinwheel just goes round and around and I'm stuck watching Reina leaning over to pick up the ball or some such bollocks. Frustrating.

4:36 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

My AD link has been brilliant since we got it back

4:36 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Yeah, true enough Bob. For all their money, Citeh's only been able to lure Robinho, but they're in real danger of losing Elano which is another barometer of their overall ambition.

4:37 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Ah - that's better. Cheers Gooner. Adthe was knackered.

4:37 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Liverpool passing the ball and keeping Everton from going forward.

4:38 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

It's been in and out. Good when it's up because it's the Andy Gray one. This is Martin Tyler and some Scot muggins.

4:40 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Worse than that, Sparky has allowed factions a la Real Madrid and Barca to develop in the camp. So he wants to flog Elano and Jo because they've been out on the piss a few times. In this day and age, the training that an old-fashioned British manager has just won't cut it among the big boys. Sparky's just fine at a club like Blackburn, who's main ambition is just to stay in the Prem. But Citeh will need a Hiddink, Mourinho or some such to fulfill their big ambitions.

4:40 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I think Sparky is not right the job but the powers of be thought that he was better than Sven

4:42 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Come on Everton... break Costa's heart.

Chance for Arteta get a dangerous ball in

Come on Lescott or Cahill... cleared

4:43 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Factions are inevitable at a club with the diversity of players that they have. What possibly would Richard Dunne and Stephen '2grans' Ireland have in common with Jo, Robinho, and Elano?

4:44 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

I hate the grabbing in the box!

4:44 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Skyrtel is a sneaky sod. Definately had a fist-full of Cahills shirt. Penalty?

4:45 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Bugger - I'd have loved to have seen that Osman shot fly in. That would have been a 30 point goal for me.

4:45 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Osman with a hit... Easy take by Pepe

4:45 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

That's not how you get back in the game. Osman smacks it straight at Reina.

4:46 PM
Blogger United We Stand said...

Baines almost in and there is a lucky deflection for a goal kick

Torres off... Five to go plus stoppages

Lucas, the dirty bugger, is on

4:47 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Yeah, but it doesn't help a club like that to have a monolingual boss. Don't you think that Wenger can speak to his players in French, English, Spanish and probably Portuguese for starters? Fergie uses multilingual underlings to smooth things over for him.

4:47 PM
Blogger gooner71 said...

Yawn, Lucas comes on for Torres. Now I really want Everton to break their hearts. Boring, boring, L'pool.

4:48 PM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Go on - stick this one on Cahill's noggin!

4:48 PM
