First of course, we would all like to wish our Bobby a Happy 45th Birthday. I am sure all Bob wants for his birthday is a United victory and since my lot are the only United playing, let's hope he gets his wish

The teams are what you'd expect for a tight match. You know I don't like teams playing one striker up top but I'm resigned to the big managers doing just that. I'd love to see Tev alongside Berba and Anelka alongside Drogs, but neither Fergie nor Big Phil is willing to take that risk. Shame.
The Gooners on the blog will be delighted at that Wigan-Spurs result. It's dropped Spurs right back in trouble.

Come on - Roon isn't a striker. Half the time he's roaming whereever he bloody wants - left wing, right wing, dropping back into midfield. He's not a six yard box sniffer. You need Tev alongside Berba. Giggs and Ronaldo cancel each other out. I'd have old man Giggs on the bench.
Rooney doesn't play like a front-man. He's always collecting the ball 30-35 yards from goal. That's what Bob's saying.

Not that it matters too much either way, I guess, but there's a case to be made suggesting Webb was simply confused by United's scheming. Rooney put the ball down at the corner flag, tapped it into play, then ambled off. Giggs sauntered across - the corner having been quietly taken with nobody noticing - and scooted away with the ball, confusing everyone, before crossing. It was a fiendishly clever move, and therefore a shame the goal that came from it didn't stand instead of the one we ended up with.
