Would he really go to Citeh? This year he was out of the Champions League with Milan and if he went to Citeh it would be at least a few more years. He wouldn't do that for his career, would he?
I think you're right. He'll no doubt turn down the offer. He's 26, so at the height of his playing career right now. If he were two or three years older, he might go for the big payday but he may want to win a couple of more pieces of silverware before he goes the Beckham route.
Apparently there are up to 60 players on Citeh's shopping list. I suspect that they'll probably sign a goalkeeper (Buffon, probably rather than the younger Casillas), a central defender of real quality, a holding midfielder and probably one or two more attacking options. They'll also be flogging all the bad boys (Jo, Elano, etc.).
We at the Grove will take Elano.
