Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Just Walk Away Cristiano....

It's official. The suits at ManYoo have accepted an £80 - yes, that is 80 million quid! - for the transfer of one Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. The transfer that we all saw coming down the M1 long ago is done and dusted. Surely Fergie and co. can pick up a striker or two with that kind of dosh. So who do you want, Davey?

For another twenty million Real Madrid could have bought Newcastle :)

Well, Tony woke me up with an email announcing this big news.
My thoughts?
On one hand, I am sad to see him go. He was a great talent and gave other teams a constant threat.
On the other hand, if he doesn't want to play at a three time defending champion and two time CL Finalist then BUGGER OFF!!
I can't see why he wants to go to Real right now. They are not that good. Their defense has not been improved at all and I can't see them beating Barcelona any time soon.

I am just glad that we don't have to go through another summer of will he or won't he!!

I think Fergie will keep the ball rolling. We did pretty well after Cantona, Beckham and Ruud.

COME ON FERGIE... stuff it down Real's throat!

It's possible that his first appearance for Real would be against DC United in July.

Any one of Clyde Simms, Bryan Barklage, Andy Jacobson, Dejan Jankovic, Greg Janecki, Mark Burch, or Devin McTavish could be looking to put in a very tasty challenge on Cronnie.

Apparently United has put a £40 million bid on Fernando Torres. Good value for money, I'd say. Dave?
