Carling Cup Third Round Live!
It's Carling Cup time again and the big boys have joined the party. My eye will be firmly fixed on Elland Road where my Leeds boys take on the old enemy from Anfield. It feels like the 70s again.
I'll be popping in and out of meetings and classes all day but I'll look forward to the pleasure of your company.

As predicted, we're fielding a full strength side, while Liverpool are going with Ryan Babel and David Ngog up front with some fellow named Jay Spearing tucking in behind them.
Come on, you Whites!
I'm back at my break and with ten minutes gone it's 0-0 at Elland Road. Even so far.
Meanwhile, things cannot get any worse for Paul Hart's Pompey side, who are trailing away to Carlisle.
Leeds miss a great chance. Great football from the home side ends with a right-wing cross that picks out Michael Doyle with a free header eight yards from goal but he heads wide.
I'm back after my class and not happy to see Liverpool 0-1 up through a 66th minute strike by David Ngog.
I'm going to take UWS's advice and take off the lucky Leeds shirt. I've got a great VSS stream up for the big match and we've got 15 minutes to rescue this one.
Nice sharp shot by Brad Johnson. Well saved by the keeper.
Howson finds Beckford who's bowled over. The ref isn't impressed. The Pool defender did well.
365 suggests that we've missed a lot of chances.
Arsenal have weathered plenty of pressure from West Brom, but they've scored with their first real chance of the second half. Dean Kiely could only parry Carlos Vela's shot, and Sanchez Watt was on hand to turn home the loose ball.
A certain Steven Gerrard is making a substitute's appearance here. Let's hope that the kid isn't any good.
The goalscorer Ngog is coming off for Stevie G. Meanwhile Neil Kilkenny is coming on for us.
Down to about ten minutes and change now.
Come on, you Whites!
Liverpool looking very comfortable at the back now stroking it about.
The Yank Mike Grella is also coming on to replace Becchio. Apparently Becchio had one in the net that was disallowed. Very frustrated looking lad.
Nice stuff from JB there. Nearly carved out an opening from nothing.
Stoke have turned things round. Having trailed 2-0 they lead 3-2 as Ricardo Fuller starts and finishes the move to register his first goal of the season.
Game over at the Emirates, where Vela has made it 2-0 to Arsenal against West Brom.
Oooh, Grella nearly got in there, but Glen Johnson did well to nod back to the keeper.
Bugger, Liverpool pick up a cheap free kick here in a dangerous area. It's deflected over and out for a corner.
And if things weren't hard enough, Fernando Torres is coming on now.
Five minutes to get the elusive equalizer here.
Looks like Burnley might be getting a taste of their own medicine. Last year's giant-killers are in danger of being on the other end tonight as Hugo Colace gives Barnsley a 3-2 lead.
Remarkable game at the Britannia. It looked like Stoke had got out of jail, but it's all square again as Ben Burgess makes it 3-3!
Here we go with Leeds United!
Big Enoch is on now for that miracle goal. Grella tries a pop. Still nothing doing.
Rafa has thought again about bringing on Torres. He must be satisfied with things.
Instead it's Martin Skrtel coming on to try to bolt the door.
Babel off and Skrtel on as we head toward added time.
Since Dave isn't here, I'll have to say it -
IT'S LEEDS TIME!
And it'll have to be done in four minutes. I wish we had Manchester United time. Ah well....
Three minutes left in this one.
We've got to get it out of our half!
Simon Grayson looks as if he's already thinking about the trip to the Dons on Saturday.
One last chance here. And it comes and goes.
That's it. Our Carling Cup sojourn ends for another season. I didn't see much of today's match but it appears that we wuz robbed.
Forward on together!!!
Happier news for Arsenal who have beaten Championship heavyweights West Brom 2-0 with a side full of kids.
Sunderland have knocked out Birmingham 2-0.
That's it for me, lads. Ta ra!
Sorry Mate
Cheers!
Another day - another set of Carling Cup fixtures. UWS will no doubt be focusing on United's match at OT against Wolves, but there are plenty of other good ties today.
Nearly half an hour gone and Villa are 1-0 up against Cardiff, Everton are 0-2 up at Hull and Spurs are 0-1 up at PNE. All other fixtures are goalless.
