Footie Trivia Question of the Week
We haven't had one of these recently but I came across a terrific bit of trivia on the Preview Show this weekend. Here it is:
"Who are the six footballers who have scored in the Premiership in each of the three decades - the Nineties, the Noughties and the Teenies - that the Premiership has been in operation?" (Bonus points if you can name the clubs that they played for during this time)
Good luck, chaps!

Very good question
I am not sure about Giggs scoring since the New Year
Same with Scholes
I'll get back to you and I won't cheat
The answer is "No" for both, unfortunately.
Glad you like the question. Keep guessing.
What a shame they both haven't scored since December. In fact, I don't think Scholsey has scored a league goal all season... he can keep scoring in the CL if he wants to!
Matt and I were talking on the way to practice tonight and these are a few names that we think are possibilities
I thought
Steven Gerrard- Liverpool
Michael Owen- Liverpool, Newcastle and United
Frank Lampard- West Ham, Chelsea
Matthew said
Danny Murphy- Liverpool and Fulham
Damien Duff- Blackburn, Chelsea, Newcastle, Fulham
Nicolas Anelka- Arsenal, Liverpool, Bolton, Man City, Chelsea
It's good to have these questions back!
We're dying to know who many we got right
We thought of these but we think they are a goal away from this list
Giggs, Scholes, Sol Campbell, Joe Cole
You can tell Matt, they he beat you....3-1!
Danny Murphy scored for Liverpool in both the Nineties and Noughties and for Fulham in the Teenies.
Damien Duff scored Blackburn in the Nineties, Chelski and Newcastle in the Noughties and Fulham in the Teenies.
And Le Sulk of course scored for the Arse in the Nineties, oodles of clubs in the Noughties and Chelski in the Teenies.
You got Lamps. West Ham in the Nineties, Chelski in the Noughties and Teenies.
Two more to go....
Btw, wee Mikey hasn't scored for you lot in the Premiership in the Teenies, even though he obviously scored this weekend in the Carling Cup Final.
Gerrard hadn't scored yet in the Teenies until this past weekend, so he wasn't part of the original list of six on the Preview Show but should be counted as #7.
Make that 8
Owen scored against West Ham on Tuesday.
Okay, who are the seventh and eighth?
Get back to you
As I was driving to work, I thought of another answer
How about
Emile Ivanhoe Heskey- Leicester City, Liverpool, Wigan and Villa
That's a good shout. I don't know why Heskey isn't on the list. He certainly scored for Leicester in the Nineties and loads of sides in the Noughties. Has he scored in the league since January? Dunno.
I'm going to hold off on giving the last two for a day or so just to keep you in suspense.
I swear he scored against Burnley a couple of weeks ago
Make it NINE
YOU STINK!!
Hey - it's not me. Blame FSC. It was their bloody question!
Just looked it up
He did score in the 5-2 win
No you stink for making me wait!
I really like the question. So did the boys!
One hint:
One of the last two players that haven't been named yet played for your beloved Manchester United (as well as a number of other clubs). Any ideas?
Matt mentioned this guy last night
How about Kevin Davies of Bolton
He played for Southampton, Blackburn and Bolton
How about Louis Saha. I know he was on the bench for Newcastle in the '99 Cup Final. Maybe he scored a goal before then.
So... Saha- Newcastle, Fulham, United, Everton
Yes, indeed - Saha is your man. Saha scored for Newcastle in the Nineties, Fulham and United in the Noughties and just this past year for Everton.
The last one on the FSC List you'll never get - George Boateng.
The Ghanaian-born Dutch international isn't the most prolific goalscorer out there but he did score for Villa after his move from Coventry in 1999, for Boro during the Noughties and recently for Hull City.
As for Kevin Davies, dunno. Could be another one that FSC missed. Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow for the match.
Had fun
Thanks mate
I'll be here
