Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Not a lot of action in the opening stages.
I'm watching ESPN coverage on:

GOAL! Olich scores a priceless away goal for Bayern that should probably send them through to the final. Robben did most of the heavy lifting there. By Olich did well to turn and score from close in.
0-1 Bayern!
Lyon of course now need three goals.
Oh - how did Bastos miss that easy side-footer some four yards from goal!
That could have been an immediate response that Lyon desperately needed.
Bayern go in 0-1 up at half-time. This tie is just about dead.
Lyon making a couple of attacking changes at the start of the second half. They have to roll the dice now.
I'm back on Wednesday afternoon for the big 'un between Barca and Inter to see who has the pleasure of meeting yesterday's victors Bayern in the CL final in May.
The teams for today's titanic clash:
Barcelona: 1-Victor Valdes; 2-Daniel Alves, 3-Gerard Pique, 18-Gabriel Milito, 15-Seydou Keita; 6-Xavi, 24-Yaya Toure, 16-Sergio Busquets; 17-Pedro, 9-Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 10-Lionel Messi
Inter Milan: 12-Julio Cesar; 13-Maicon, 25-Walter Samuel, 6-Lucio, 4-Javier Zanetti; 19-Esteban Cambiasso, 8-Thiago Motta; 9-Samuel Eto'o, 10-Wesley Sneijder, 27-Goran Pandev; 22-Diego Milito
Barca get us underway here at Camp Nou looking to pull back a 1-3 deficit from the first leg at the San Siro. They'll need an early goal.
Tiago Motta is the first player in the referee's notebook this evening for a lunge on the marauding Dani Alves.
Barca are dominating the possession at the moment. Inter are sitting back in numbers and looking for Milito to hold up the ball, which he is having trouble doing.
Zlatan is wide open in the box but he uses too much of his arm to pull it down. That was poor. He should have been booked for that.
Just wide from Pedro after a sumptuous ball in from Danny Alves.
Red card! Thiago Motta gets his marching orders after elbowing Sergio. It looked fairly innocuous on the replay and Mourinho is incensed by it all. Both benches emptied for a bit and there has been a long pause in the match.
A reminder that a 2-0 win for Barca would see them through. Now that Inter are down to ten men, that would seem a reasonable goal for the Catalan side.
Messi produces a terrific save out of Julio Cesar. A typically slinky run and shot from the Argentine.
75% Barca possession so far, but still no goals to show for it. Inter are parking the bus so unilaterally that Julio Cesar has just been booked for time wasting - in the 36th minute!
Looked like a bit of a push there by Maicon on Pedro, but it's devilishly difficult to tell with all the play acting and gamesmanship going on out there tonight.
Little happening really. Barca holding onto the ball and Inter holding their shape and giving their illustrious hosts little space to work with. Jose will be happy with that.
Nearing half time now. Inter hanging on like grim death. Free kick oppo for Barca here.
Zlatan hits the free kick well over.
Yaya Toure has looked really poor tonight.
It's all kicked off again! Chivu is booked for a late tackle on Messi. Inter were unhappy Barca didn't put the ball out of play as Sneijder was down on the ground injured. The Dutch ace was an injury doubt before the game.
Peep peep! The ref blows for half time and Jose will be relieved at his side being able to eke their way through to the interval.
Teams are back out at the Camp Nou. Typical gamesmanship from Jose. He's got the Barca players waiting for Inter. Mind games are his forte.
With this behavior, I can't wait for Barca to stuff it down their throats.
Maxwell is coming on to replace Diego Milito.
Alan Smith must be the dullest color guy in the biz. He makes David Pleat sound like the ShamWow guy.
Same pattern as the first half - a siege on Inter's goal. I don't think Wesley Sneijder has had a touch all night.
An hour gone and still a clinic in terms of defending from Inter.
Zlatan is making way for Bojan and he's not terribly happy about it.
Mourinho's getting a bollocking from the ref for something now. I suppose he was out of his technical area.
Third and final change for Barca with Jeffren replacing left-winger Pedro. The hosts have no changes left.
Barca are still well capable of scoring a couple of quick goals and changing the complexion of this tie.
Sneijder is trooping off to be replaced by Sulley Muntari. Odd change there. But I suppose Jose wants an outlet.
Barca are really being stifled by Inter. It's not pretty.
A wild shot from distance by Keita. That's not what Pep ordered.
Fifteen minutes left now and Barca are starting to get a wee bit frustrated.
Just ten minutes left and Barca still need two goals.
Oh - that was it! Bojan with a big chance from about six yards out and he somehow contrived to put his header wide. Oh dear. Never mind.
Muntari has been booked for time wasting.
GOAL! That was wonderful from Piquet. Brilliant move and then a terrific turn and finish in the box from the central defender.
1-0 Barca! (2-3 on aggregate)
On the replay, it looked as if Piquet was offside but no matter. The Camp Nou faithful are now baying on their side. All to play for with a little over five minutes.
Eto'o is replaced by Mariga, a defender.
Tremendous hit by Xavi and Julio Cesar can only parry it away.
And now it's Messi with a rocket that Julio Cesar smothers well. Tremendous pressure now.
Everything being directed by Xavi now, the little general in Barca's midfield.
Alves goes down in the box but the ref isn't impressed.
Now it's a matter of how many minutes the referee will tack on.
The Barca keeper is essentially a sweeper at this point.
GOAL! Bojan nets it! No, it's been called back for offside or perhaps for a handball on Yaya.
Referee is being a bit pedantic now and the crowd don't appreciate it.
Corner to Barca. Surely their last chance now.
Full-time! Unbelievable. I'm not sure how they did it, but Inter are into the final with Bayern.
I am happy that Barca don't make the final again!
The two teams that knocked out United and Chelsea are in the Final!
Surprisingly, Inter's first Final since 1972!
