We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Landy's goal was the moment for me too.

And Samir Nasri's goal against Porto was amazing.

Diego's humiliation against Germany this summer was only highlighted by being in a crowded bar packed with Germans. Proper spanking.

Off-footie, I enjoyed the Lindsey Vonn-Julie Mancuso rivalry at the Vancouver Olympics, and that short-track speed skating stuff is just hilariously chaotic and completely watchable.
