Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

New Radiohead!

It's already been a stellar new year in music - we're only six weeks deep and we've seen strong new releases from Iron & Wine, the Decemberists, and PJ Harvey with new discs from Fleet Foxes and Death Cab for Cutie coming right along. And now we have news out of Blighty that Radiohead have offered their new album "The King of Limbs" a day earlier than expected on their website. The attached video is for the lead single off the album: "Lotus Flower."

You can download the album (for a fee) here: http://www.thekingoflimbs.com/

I see Thom is channeling a mix of Alex from A Clockwork Orange and Nopoleon Dynamite.

Have a busy Saturday planned and will try to give this a listen on Sunday.

New P.J. is pretty darn good btw, and Over the Rhine have released an astonishingly lovely record.

You buy the download? It's just a few dollars more than I chose to pay for "In Rainbows."

If you're asking about "Tyler the Creator," WHR, I'm not so keen. That one looped sample that sounds like a donkey being flayed inside my head is seriously irritating. The vid is pretty disturbing as well. The roach is impressive but I can do without the upchuck factor and what can you say about the ending?

Hip hop has lost its way in the Teenies, IMHO.
