Fabio Gives Lamps the Nod
Don Fabio has made Frank Lampard the skipper for tomorrow's friendly clash with the Danes. At the same time, he's announced that Jack Wilshere is the man for the future of England. Any contradiction there? Oh - and who the hell is David Stockdale?! Here's the squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Robert Green, Joe Hart, David Stockdale
Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, John Terry, Kyle Walker
Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Stewart Downing, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Ashley Young
Strikers: Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Carlton Cole
Your thoughts, gentlemen?

From that squad, I'm going with a 4-4-2 with a diamond shaped midfield based on the players who are in the best form:
Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Frank Lampard, Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe.
This is a friendly. Frank Lampard sure showed leadership when he defended horribly on that Liversox goal. He is starting to show signs of age.. Not sure what Don Fabio is thinking. He should start players like Wilshere and Albrighton.
David Stockdale is the reserve keeper at Fulham. He filled in at the beginning of the season when Schwarzer was injured and during the Asian Cup. He looked decent and should be included in the U-21 Squad, but not the full squad. At the same time , there is a shortage of quality keepers in England.
Leave Jack and Theo on the bench for this meaningless game.
Sorry, mate. Both Jack and Theo are in from the start, along with Nic Bendtner on the other side.
