Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Stuff Homeland Security - I've got a lovely link up through Veetle here:

The teams for this afternoon's match:
Denmark: Sorensen, Christian Poulsen (c), Jorgensen, Agger, Simon Poulsen, Jacobsen, Kvist, Eriksen, Krohn-Dehli, Rommedahl, Bendtner.
England: Hart, Johnson, Dawson, Terry, A Cole, Lampard (c), Wilshere, Walcott, Milner, Rooney, Bent. Subs: Green, Walker, Cahill, Lescott, Baines, Downing, Parker, Barry, Young, Defoe, Cole, Stockdale.
Right, the anthems are done and it's down to the action now.
Come on, England!
Both sides just gently feeling each other out at the start here.
Crikey - Bendtner seemed in on goal there. The linesman stuck his flag up mighty late.
Bloody hell - Roon! The profligate one was in around the keeper there after the ball came to him off the keeper as Bent went in. Roon with a really tame effort on goal when he could have easily blasted home.
I would have picked Jermain Defoe to score that chance every time.
GOAL! And the Danes are in front. Good cross in from Ericksson but where oh where was the marking. Daniel Agger with the header home.
1-0 Denmark!
GOAL! Darren Bent levels it after some really special work on the right from Theo. He beat his man and stuck the ball over in the danger area and Bent merely had to tap home.
1-1!
Gooner won't like this - Theo seems to have picked up an elbow in the eye that has left him bloodied on the ground getting treatment.
Bloody hell - it's as if the defenders are on strike this afternoon. Denmark went straight back down and nearly had a chance to score again. This has the same feel to those matches in the Premiership on Saturday morning. Wow!
The Danes win two corners in quick succession. Hart punches clear finally.
Roon is playing that maddeningly deep role and spraying balls around as if he's the reincarnation of Paul Scholes.
I'm not a big fan of Darren Bent; yet, he is scoring so I'd keep picking him. It was instructive there that when the ball came over from Theo, Roon wasn't even in the 18 yard box while Bent was in the right place to do the damage.
Jacobsen and Bendtner try a one-two in the England half but the latter's return pass goes behind.
"Rooney blocks one out for a Denmark corner." That tells you all you need to know about the first 15 minutes here. Denmark really controlling things.
Cashley breaks Kenny Sansom's record for most capped fullback tonight.
Oh - Bent nearly helped himself to a second there. Great ball over from Adam Johnson. The two wide men on the right are giving Denmark fits so far.
Wilshere's starting to come into the match here. Milner is also trying his luck on the right flank and why not?
Half-way through a quite absorbing first half here in Copenhagen.
There's a good trivia piece. Danish coach Morton Olson is one of the very few to have both gained 100 caps as a player for his country and also manage his country more than a hundred times. Beckenbauer is the other one who springs to mind. Perhaps Carlos Alberto Parreira as well. Any others?
Lots of noise coming from the England brass band and supporters now. Drowning out the locals with no probs at all.
Lampard with his first effort on goal. He's not really been in the game, with Wilshere bossing things quite a bit more.
More worrying news for the Gooner. Wilshere was tracking back there and picked up a slight knock and he's trying to run off.
GET ROONEY OFF!!!!!
Good ball in from Milner but no one was putting his head in the danger zone.
Oh - Christian Ericksson rattles the England post with a rifled shot. Joe Hart very lucky there.
I've just noticed an interesting disclaimer on this MyP2P site that reads:
"We do not host any illegal material nor are we involved in any replication there of any footage covered by international copyright laws. All sports streams shown are available elsewhere on the internet and are merely 'hot-linked' from these other sources via 'embed' coding provided as a feature of these sites. I don't see how this site couldn't be considered illegal in all honesty. It's an indication that the Net cops are out and about for sure.
Theo Walcott with a wonderful ball through and it's nicely finished by Lamps but he was in an offside position. Shame.
Wilshere in at the deep end again. He's almost playing the holding role tonight, something I've never seen him do for the Gunners, where Song and Denilson are typically the holding guys.
0-0 in all the other friendlies tonight.
Very little stoppage time at the end of this half.
Half-time: A very lively first half here in Copenhagen with England looking decent going forward but increasingly shaky, especially on crosses from Ericksson, at the back. That would seem to reinforce my point yesterday about picking players in form. John Terry - not so much.
Bent's goal is his third in 9 matches since 2006. It underscores his marginal role in the England set-up.
Miroslav Klose is continuing his scoring form for the national side tonight with an early goal for Germany against Italy.
Wesley Sneijder has put the Dutch 1-0 up over Austria.
Hi,
I am here for the second half.
I have the ITV coverage through mp2p
How have England looked?
Have England looked naff?"
I am watching France and Brazil on ESPN2
Young chips in it to Bent's header... I think he should have scored!
Ronaldo has tied it up against the Argies
Good flashing header by Young... saved
Scotland are two up at half over NI
Good to see Wilshere's been spared the 2nd half. C'mon Fabio, get your board out and sub off Theo before you break him, you mug.
Time for Bendtner to be subbed too.
England now captained by Ashley Cole. A new low that it's hard for a hater like me to look beyond.
How many Villa or ex Villa players on the field right now
Young, Bent, Milner and Barry
Any more?
Cahill coming on for Dawson
Andy Gray, Peter Wythe, Emile Heskey, Jimmy Rimmer,....
Very young team out there
Dawson? Theo! GET THE HOOK FABIO
I don't think Gray, Wythe, Heskey and Rimmer on the field right now!
England have been the much better team after half time. Apparently, it wasn't the case in the first half. Has Denmark made a lot of changes
A red card for Brazil. A very high boot by Hernandez into Benmaza's chest!!
Cleats above the nipple!!
Brazil will play a man down for over 45 minutes
Nice move by the Danes well saved by Hart
Couple of HT scores from the Beeb
Germany 1 Italy 0
Franborough 0 Boreham Wood 0
Did Benzema's nipples explode with delight?
I hope he still has one
YES!!!
Ashley Young puts England ahead... he has looked good
Great quick break by Johnson to Young and he slots it home
Another Villa player was not mentioned.... Downing is on too.
Villa are all over the place.. ex Villa Sorenson is in goal for the Danes!
First international goal for Young... he is a good player
Agreed. Get some consistency for Ashely Young and he'd be great for England.
The commentators are pleased with this performance. Much better than previous ones
Under 20 minutes to go
Great goal by Wesley Sneijder for Holland. I just saw it on ESPN
Arsenal v Wolves on ESPN on Saturday... THEY BETTER PLAY LIKE THEY DID LAST WEEK MICK!!!!
The bloke's name that got sent off for Brazil is Anderson Hernanes
Scotland are three up against NI
Rooney shouldn't start against Wales!! He doesn't deserve it! I think Fabio has done well playing all these players... he needs to reward them with spot on the team
2054: Approaching the last 10 minutes in Copenhagen and England are looking rather comfortable - both with and without the ball. Scott Parker and Gareth Barry look a far more natural fit in this 4-2-3-1 formation if the second half is anything to go by, while the pace of Ashley Young, Stewart Downing and Stewart Downing in attack is causing the Danes all sorts of consternation.
Baines coming on for Cashley... who will be England's third captain of the night... Barry it is
They should willy nilly change the captain's armband. I guess a captain should be chosen knowing that they will play the whole game. Surely there is a plan
England look very comfortable
On my previous comment.. of course I meant SHOULDN'T
With this match inside the last five minutes, they are just coming out for the second half in Paris
Rule Britannia being blurted out in Denmark
The fans are allowed to have beer in the stands behind the goal... probably the best!!
England break with pace but a Young shot is blocked
This should be the side that plays in Cardiff. They look quick and hungry.... IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
Lamps, Roon, Gerrard will come in... same old stuff
Less than a minute of the three added minutes... Still not much made by Denmark
Parker has played well too. He has been capped playing for four different clubs
That's it
Denmark 1 England 2
Well done England
Keep the young ones in
Benzema scores a tap in for France against Brazil
I am off
Take care everyone
USW
Sorry I missed you, Dave. I'm very pleased with that result. It will hopefully reinforce Capello's nod to the youth.
