Thanks for starting off the thread, mate. I should be around at 11:30am to follow the proceedings live.
I'm over at work now. This link looks pretty good for the CL draw:
http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/80248/1/watch-uefa-champions-league-draw.html
Cheers for your link. I was going to go to Premium TV for the Skysporrtsnews link but this is just as good
Cheers
I'd like to see Citeh be with Barca... they wouldn't be intimidated by them
I didn't realize the draw is on FSC as well
Yikes... the show is scheduled to go from 11:30 to 1 o'clock!!
This is the message we get when we go to myp2p
MyP2P is currently off air. As you might have seen the myp2p.eu domain is offline. The domain has been put On Hold, which means we can't do anything with it. Our DNS settings have also been deleted. As soon as we know more we will update you. Stay tuned.

What a shame... this was the first magical website that we got a few years ago.... I hope it comes back
Yeah - I seem to remember that they really dragged things out last season. I wouldn't expect any real action until about 12:30 pm EST.
I have to go to to Dunkin Donuts for my father in law at noon
I am surprised that Citeh are in Pot 3
The draw is 'minutes away'
I'd like to see
Barcelona
AC Milan
Citeh
Borrussia Dortmund
FSC has exactly the same coverage as the link
The link is 20 seconds behind
I am off
Be back soon
Some difficult memories from last season there. Good thing you've buggered off.
And now Carlos Puyol, dressed as if he's just come from some head tennis, is here with the CL trophy.
Looks like we're set for the draw then as we've just got past noon.
United first out of the gate!
I'm confused already.
Luis Figo and Paul Breitner doing the draw.
Group A - Bayern
Group B - Milan
Group C - United
Group D - Real
Group E - Chelski
Group F - Arse
Group G - Porto
Group H - Barca
Figo is buggering off after helping out with the Pot 1 draw. Now it's Bobby Charlton's turn. They're showing a few highlights of his career.
I'm back
Miln are in groupl H and Barcelona!!
After Pot 2 drawing:
Group A - Bayern, Villareal
Group B - Inter, CSKA
Group C - United, Benfica
Group D - Real, Lyon
Group E - Chelski, Valencia
Group F - Arse, Marseille
Group G - Porto, Shakhtar
Group H - Barca, Milan
So far
1719: Group A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal
1718: Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan
1717: Group G: FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk
1716: Group E: CHELSEA, Valencia
1716: Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille
1715: Group C: MANCHESTER UNITED, Benfica
1714: Group D: Real Madrid, Lyon
Sorry, I originally confused Milan and Inter. Inter are the Pod 1 team in Group B. Milan are the Pod 2 team in Group H with Barca - tough group already!
Beat me to it
I am happy so far
let's get Citeh in group H
Now it's Ruud Gullit.
I would luv it!
Firsst one out of the Pot is Lille are in Group V with Inter and CSKA
Zenit joins G with Porto and Shakhtar
Ajax goes in Group D with Real and Lyon
Olympiacos with Arsenal and Marsielll in Group F
Citeh.. can't be in United or Chelsea's group so they are in group A with Bayern and Villareal
Bayer Lever go into Group E with Chelsea and Valencia
Basle into group C with United and Benfica
STILL HAPPY
Batte in the group of death
After Pot 3 drawing:
Group A - Bayern, Villareal, Citeh,
Group B - Inter, CSKA, Lille,
Group C - United, Benfica, Basel,
Group D - Real, Lyon, Ajax,
Group E - Chelski, Valencia, Leverkusen,
Group F - Arse, Marseille, Olympiakos,
Group G - Porto, Shakhtar, Zenit,
Group H - Barca, Milan, BATE,
United and Arse looking pretty good in the draw, I'd say.
Shame that Citeh couldn't be stuck in the Group of Death. BATE makes that group easier.
The BBC are saying there are two Groups of Death
E and H
Bayern and Villareal are cake walks
Pot 4 to begin
Napoli... into Group ... like to see H.... it is Group A with Bayern, Villareal, Citeh
WOW
GERMANY, SPAIN, ENGLAND, ITALY
Aopel?? goes into G with Porto, Shak and Zenit
Otel Galu??? from Romania in Group C with UNITED!!
LOVELY JUBBLEY!!
United, Benfica, Basle and Otel
Dinamo Zagreb goes into Group D with Real, Lyon and Ajax
Plzen goes into Group H with Barcelona, Milan Bate
That group was looking tough and now it looks simple for the top two
Group E with Chelsea, Valencia, Bayer Leve and Genk
Trabizor is in Group B with INter, CSKA and Lille
Dortmund go into Group F with Arsenal, Marseille, Olypiakos
Tough group
1732: Manchester City fans - worried for a second there weren't you? As it happens, you were never in danger of being placed in Group H purely because you have to be on the 'blue' side of the draw rather than the 'red' of Manchester United to keep your Champions League match-day nights separate (Tuesday and Wednesday). Dare I say, already, all four English teams will be quite happy with this draw?
Final Draw:
Group A - Bayern, Villareal, Citeh, Napoli.
Group B - Inter, CSKA, Lille, Trabzonspor.
Group C - United, Benfica, Basel, Galati.
Group D - Real, Lyon, Ajax, Zagreb.
Group E - Chelski, Valencia, Leverkusen, Genk.
Group F - Arse, Marseille, Olympiakos, Dortmund.
Group G - Porto, Shakhtar, Zenit, Apoel FC.
Group H - Barca, Milan, BATE, Plzen.
Here's the draw in full
Group A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, MAN CITY, Napoli
Group B: Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow, Lille, Trabzonspor
Group C: MAN UTD, Benfica, Basle, Otelul Galati
Group D: Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb
Group E: CHELSEA, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Genk
Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund
Group G: FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit, Apoel Group H: FCBarcelona, AC Milan, BATE Borisov, Viktoria Plzen
Beat you to it, mate. You must be happy with that draw, eh? It's a doddle for you lot.
I think all English teams will make it easily
My predictions
Bayern and Citeh
Inter and Lille
United and Benfica
Real, and Lyon
Chelsea and Villareal
Porto and Shak
Barca and Milan
Top two seeds in everyone bar City's group
I think those are fair predictions.
Here's the Guardian take on one funny moment that you might have missed:
5.21pm: Some mild farce during the draw from Pot B, when Infantino and Breitner disagreed over whether Lyon were in Group D or E. To precis:
Breitner: D.
Infantino: E?
Breitner: D!
Infantino: E?!
Breitner: D!!!!!!!
Infantino: Lyon are in Group E.
Breitner: AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Infantino: There is no Group R.
Europa League Second leggers and Carling Cup matches are also on tonight
Scunny have taken an early lead against Newcastle!
Pardew said he was taking the competition seriously!!
In the Europa League
Birmingham have taken an early TWO goal lead... they are 2-0 up on agg too
Stoke have also taken an early two goal lead.. they are 3-0 up on agg
Dnipro are beating Fulham 1-0 at half but the Cottagers are still 3-1 up on agg
As for the Scots... not such good news
Celtic had a man sent off after two minutes and FC Sion scored from the resulting penalty. It has reached half time. Celtic need a goal!
Rangers are at half time and are scoreless... 1-2 down on agg
And of course Hearts are 5 nil down on agg to Spurs... still nil nil in the second leg
Adebayor has officially joined Spurs on loan for the season... shame he won't be able to play against them on Sunday
Stoke City are THREE UP ALREADY
Apparently, FC Thun have 47 fans watching their team getting hammered
Penalty to Spurs...it's missed
Pe6n missed by Harry Kane
About the youth of Spurs team tonight
From Greg in Watford, via text: "If Spurs don't win tonight it won't matter too much; I heard half their first XI got excellent GCSE results this morning!"
Stoke take their 3 goal lead to half
Brum 2 up at half
Scunny take their lead to half time.
Joey Barton has passed a medical at Loftus Road but is still deciding if he should join or not
Nasri says the atmosphere at Eastlands is much better than the Em... some fans agree and some don't!
Fab felt the most at home at Highbury
Another goal... RANGERS HAVE CONCEDED A GOAL!!
Maribor score on their first attempt on goal... 3-1 on agg
As it stands, it is almost certain that there will be no Scottish teams in the real rounds of Europe!
The Lions of Lisbon must be going crazy
Hearts are definitely out
Rangers need 2 goals to go to extra time
Celtic have the best shot.. they need to tie it up and win it on away goals but, remember, they are down to ten men
There has been a goal in the Celtic match... to SION!!!
Celtic now need two with 10 men
What has happened to Celtic and Rangers
Losing to teams from Switzerland and Slovenia
Jimmy Bullard has signed a 2 year contract with Ipswich after getting booted out of Hull for disciplinary reason
As I type... all the English teams are through... all the Scottish teams are out
Celtic get the ball in the net but it is called back for offside... Lou Macari agrees with the call but still unhappy
Rangers also get the ball in the net...this one counts... fifteen minutes to get another to take it to extra time
Celtic get one that counts... they need one more as well but that one would win it on away goals... SCOTLAND ARE ALIVE!!
Scunny are still beating the Toon
New Boy YANK Carlos Bocanegra was Rangers' goalscorer
A remarkable story brewing in Serbia, where Pat Sullivan has just equalised for Dublin side Shamrock Rovers against Patrizan Belgrade. That makes it 1-1 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate as things stand.
Oh no... Sion has scored a third... surely Celtic are out now.. they need two
Stoke are now four up.. .hope the fans don't think all their European matches are this easy
With the Spurs game still goalless, Spurs have announced that they have signed another full season loaner... Iago Falque.. a Spanish U21 from Juve
Celtic have lost 3-1.. and that is the first part of the Scottish Trifecta finished
Little Lou is very down about Scottish football
Thun have scored ... the 47 must be happy
Rangers are battering the goal but.... IT IS OVER TOO
CELTIC AND RANGERS ARE OUT
Unless Hearts score six in the last ten minutes... SCOTLAND ARE DONE!
The Toon have tied it up late with a goal by Ryan Taylor
Birmingham have beaten Nacional 3-0 on the night and agg.
Dnipro have beaten Fulham 1-0 but Fulham have won 3-1 on agg
Stoke have won 4-1 (5-1)
So, with Spurs about to win... the score for the night is
English Premier League 4 Scottish Prem League 0
Very upsetting night north of the border
I am off with Extra time looming for Scunny and Toon
TTFN
UWS
Just checked the scores.
Hearts did hold on to a draw against the young Spurs team
Newcastle have beaten Scunny after extra time
Big news from the Europa League
Roma and Sevilla have both been knocked out! Wasn't Sevilla a choice for winners from some of us!
Shamrock Rovers won through to the next round as well
Scottish football is in a really sad state when all their teams are knocked out of European competitions before UWS ends his summer vacation.Even The league of Ireland has a representative in Europe.Shamrock Rovers became the first team from that league to make it to the group stages of the Europa League. To add insult to injury they have similar uniforms to Celtic who are already out. Rangers did come close, losing on the away goals rule, but not close enough. Trabzonspor did replace Fenerbache in the CL, so who replaces them in the Europa League.Even Birmingham, who is struggling in the Championship, is still in Europe. Does that mean Rangers and Celtic would be in the bottom half of the Championship and that the rest of the SPL is compatible to MLS? I tihnk Man United had the easiest draw of the English teams in the CL while Arsenal and Citeh should go through even though they are in tricky groups. Finally, can anyone pronounce Plzen?
Hey MUR, Rangers actually lost on 2-3 on agg.
As for Celtic and Rangers, there is no way they would survive the Premier League... nice comparison with the MLS.. maybe the MLS a little stronger... they do have star names... Becks, Landy, TH14,Keane
As for you last question, you pronounce it Plzen
Scotland may have hope!!
1520: FOOTBALL - AFP report that Uefa president Michel Platini has admitted that Swiss side Sion run a serious risk of being thrown out of the Europa League after fielding ineligible players in their play-off win against Celtic.
WOW! That would be great news for Celtic. I guess Scottish football needs a break.
