Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I'm back after my tedious all-day meeting to settle in and enjoy this afternoon's festivities. I think I've done enough good deeds today to deserve three points for the LUFC.
The team news out of Doncaster today:
Donny: Kirkland, O'Connor, Naylor, Friend, Ilunga, Coppinger, Stock, Oster, Gillett, Sharp, Parkin
Subs: Sullivan, Hayter, Mason, Bennett, Chimbonda
Leeds: Lonergan, Connolly, O'Dea, Lees, White, Snoddy, Howson, Clayton, Pugh, Keogh, McCormack
Subs: Rachubka, Kisnorbo, Vayrynen, Becchio, Forssell.
Now to find a link for the match. This one looks good:

Way hay - coverage from the Keepmoat Stadium has started on my link through Fox Sports Plus.
It's Tony Gubba - an old friend - on the mic this afternoon. Can't wait.
The mighty Whites, dressed in all blue today, get us underway.
Come on, you Leeds boys!
Early free kick chance which Lees lumps into the box hopefully.
Kicking off here gets us up over Palace into 11th place again on 16 points.
An early Donny free kick is rifled into the wall. Well in!
We've brought 4,000 supporters with us tonight - marvelous!
One of our old friends Richard Naylor who played on loan for us from Ipswich during the last season in L1 is at the heart of the Donny defense tonight.
Parkin is penalized for handball as he tries to turn and shoot in the box.
How the mighty have fallen. Former England prospect Chris Kirkland is in goal for Donny tonight. And Mr. Fancy Boots himself Pascal Chimbonda can't even find his way into their starting XI. He's riding the bench.
Oh - Keogh did really well to evade the offside trap down the right. His ball into McCormack was turned away. And Ross was injured in that challenge.
This is better. More attacking down the right has led to a throw for Connolly.
Some pressure now for Donny - well cleared out.
Oh - Ross did really well there to turn and jink his way into the box. Ran out of space in the end.
Snoddy tries an elaborate flick there but Keogh was on another wavelength.
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clayton with the opener!
0-1!
The free kick came in from Snoddy into the danger area, somehow evaded everyone. At first I thought it was Adam Clayton who had knocked it home but it's our loanee Danny Pugh at the back post with the crucial touch. His second for Leeds. Fantastic!
We're really clicking through the gears now. Good stuff from Leeds half way through the first half.
Hey Bob,
congrats with the score so far
I have five live on but not a link
Just about to send you guys another proud papa email
Hope you guys aren't bored with them!
Welcome, Proud Papa! Thanks for the email. You and Kath have to be beaming about Tom's start to the season.
If you want a link, try this one:

A bit of argybargy now. It looked as if a Donny player stamped on one of ours while on the ground. Ref is pulling a couple of players over.
Yellow card for Coppinger, the offender. Nasty stamp on Clayton. He should have gone straight off for that.
It's getting nasty out there - Snoddy is the latest victim there.
It would do both sides good to get in for the interval and cool down. Hot tempers all round now.
Nice interchange there between McCormack and Keogh who have really developed a nice partnership since being matched up at the beginning of the season.
I've got the link going too
ta
Good to have you on board - how was your week, mate?
Parkin really is a bull in a china shop. He looks like me staggering away from the China Buffet on a Friday night.
Oh - decent hit there by Ross skipping along the ground. Well smothered by Kirkland.
It was a short week but REALL LONG!
Blimey - we're up into 5th!
You had Columbus Day off? Lucky dog!
Kirkland have really fallen far.. DONCASTER ROVERS!
Dangerous header there
Pugh scored for Leeds... was it a stinky goal!!!!
Not at all. Only United score stinky goals.
Your thoughts on the big one for tomorrow morning? Will you be around?
Into stoppage time of the first half. Blow up, ref. I've had enough of this. Rather pleased by the first half's events.
That's it - I've schedule a student meeting for half time. I'm hoping to dispatch him before the beginning of the second half.
It was a perfectly good joke wasted on Dr. Bob!!
Pugh.. .. stinky goal!
How is pronounced!!
I'll be around for tomorrow. I pretty nervous about it!
Lovely shots of Cantona during the half time stuff... for both Uniteds
No - I got your joke - it is pronounced "P-you" so spot on. Boom boom. Still - I'm sticking with my contention that only United score stinky goals, apart from those players that you stole off us such as King Eric.
Still no sign of this kid - I'm giving him an "F" if he shows up when the second half kicks off.
Damn it... your meeting ended... for your attitude I wanted you to miss the start of the second half
I don't think you should be nervous about tomorrow. Liverpool are well off the boil these days. You should be able to score enough stinky goals to win out.
Off for a walk
I'll be back
Good afternoon BD and UWS. I will join you for the second half.
The second half is underway.
Afternoon, MUR! I've dispatched my student and am ready to enjoy the second half.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Rosss! 2-0!
What a goal! Again the combination between Keogh and Ross was key there. Lovely chipped ball through and Ross improvised by a beautiful overhead.
We're on our way.
That's McCormack's ninth goal in the league now - he's top scorer. And his tenth goal for the club this season.
I saw a goal, but couldn't tell who scored because I have something blocking the middle of the screen. I think it's something to do with the district server.
Donny could easily end up on the bottom of the league again after tomorrow's matches.
I am back and Leeds have scored again... well done mate
It looked like a great finish. WELL DONE YOU BLUES!
I had that too - I just refreshed and it went away.
Welcome back, UWS.
Cheers, lads. Nothing like having a couple of mates around to cheer on the Mighty Whites.
I refreshed, but it's still there.
Right through the middle of the Donny defense.
Coming up on the hour mark and I'm a happy chappy. Ross is so confident now that he tried an audacious curler.
Another chance for Leeds and a shot was over by Ross McCormack.
That's better. Now I have a full picture.
Donny appear to be lacking in ideas as they pur forth aimless long balls.
Donny making two changes - Dean Saunders must have sensed what you noticed, MUR. A real lack of ideas from Donny, just lumping it up to the bull in a china shop Parkin.
Back in a tick.
Donny make a double sub as Bennett is on for Coppinger and Mason is on for Oster.
Cheers,BD.
THREE NIL!!!
YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
0-3! Free header!
Nice header from the corner by Lees
Tom Lees with a towering header there from the corner, but it was all too easy.
We want 4! We want 4! We want 4!
GOAL!!!! 0-3 LEEDS AS SNODDY TOOK THE CORNER AND THE HEADER WAS DISPATCHED EASILY.
By the looks of it, you're going to get SIX
it was Lees with the header.
I hope my morning is as good as your afternoon
Hey MUR, I don't think I actually said hello
Nervous about tomorrow?
Lovely jubbly - Leeds fans jumping up and down now - having a lovely jubbly time in Donny tonight.
Tony Gubba is the commentator for the Leeds match... he is a BIG Man U fan
25 five minutes left now. Plenty of time to increase our goal difference. We're on +5 now.
Did you say Leeds would be up to fifth?
Slow start and coming on strong
Hello UWS. I am a little nervous because United vs Liversox is always an unpredictable fixture. It is like a local derby.
Gubba just said you'll be in fifth just behind the Hammers
Nice to hear Tony Gubba - he's one of those old time BBC commentators who still has a really distinctive voice for me. Most of the commentators these days seem interchangeable.
ALL LEEDS!!!!
Blimey - we're just toying with Donny now. They are rubbish.
James Hayter on for the lumbering Parkin.
Bugger... I have to leave to help Tom
This game is done and dusted... talk to you tomorrow
TTFN
I agree with Gubba - the Championship is much more exciting and competitive league than the Prem.
GET ANOTHER LEEDS!
See you early morning, mate!
Cheers, UWS. See you bright and early tomorrow.
I will be in and out for the big match as Melanie has her first tennis match tomorrow. I should be in for the first half , but the second half will be back and forth.
Tony Gubba is urging on a Donny come-back here like a true United fan. Put a sock in it, Tony!
Shut it Tony!
Oh - Lonergan went all wobbly on that cross. I think he's hurt himself as well.
My volume is off. Was Tony calling for a hand ball.
A little over 15 minutes left now. I'll be really happy with a second clean sheet in a row.
Dean Sunders looks like he's resigned to another defeat.
It would be great to have a clean sheet.
Marvelous - a young tyke stands proud with his "Donny Til I Die" scarf raised. He has no idea, of course, what kind of pain he has in store for himself, though.
Looks like Lonergan has a dislocated finger. Nasty one.
I wonder if Lonergan dislocated a finger. It appears that way on the replay. Leeds fans are enjoying themselves.
Rachubka is coming on for Lonergan. I tihnk he started his career with Man United. He has been a back-up keeper throughout his career.
Yeah - he was third string at Blackpool last season.
Just over ten minutes left now. The ref could blow up at any point now. I'm happy with the 0-3.
Poor control by Bennett sums up Donny's evening and season.
I agree. This would be a fantastic result.
The nice thing is that this is our make-up game, so we're now level on games with the others and still in the playoff spots now.
Some Donny fans have had enough and are leaving to go to spend the remainder of their Friday evening at the pub.
Leeds fans taunting the Donny fans with "You're not singing anymore" now.
I don't blame them - a pint and a pie is definitely preferable to watching their lot.
Is this your makeup game or is it part of the weekend fixtures?
I agree. Great lyrics by the Leeds fans.
Oh - Keogh nearly had #4 there. Straight through and his flick came back off the bar.
Nearly a fourth for Leeds as Lees has a shot come off the bar, trying for his second goal.
My mistake. It was Keogh off the bar.
Better form Donny as they win a corner.
The header from the corner was well over.
Varynen is on for Adam Clayton as Leeds fans give Clayton an ovation.
Varynen is on for Adam Clayton as Leeds fans give Clayton an ovation.
Bloody ads tried to block the match, but I got rid of them.
Into stoppage time as Leeds keep possession and Donny have just about given up. Blow up ref!Four minutes of stoppage time. Why????
Ryan Mason has been booked for a foul that was done out of frustration.
Donny have a free kick just outside the box.
The free kick was curlede straight to Rachubka and that is it as Leeds win 0-3 at Donny.
Congratulations Bob! A well deserved and excellent road victory along with another clean sheet . Well done! My weekend begins in twenty five minutes. I will catch you bright and early tomorrow. It was great chatting with you.
Cheers, mate - sorry a colleague came by right at the death to spoil the fun. That sets up my weekend nicely. I can now relax and enjoy myself with the rest of the footer. See you tomorrow morning.
Congrats Bob.. I missed nowt!
Nice one Bob, congrats.
