It's Carling Cup Semi Final week, chaps. Evil Cardiff booked their passage yesterday with a penalty win. Today it's the big boys - Roberto v. King Kenny at Anfield. I'm setting up to follow the first half before I have to shoot off to my class at 4pm. Join me if you're around and about this afternoon.

Here is the team news out of Anfield tonight:
Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Jose Enrique; Downing, Gerrard, Adam, Henderson, Bellamy; Kuyt.
Subs: Doni, Kelly, Carroll, Maxi, Coates, Carragher, Shelvey.
City: Hart ; Richards, Savic, Lescott, Zabaleta ; De Jong, Barry; Silva, Nasri, Kolarov; Dzeko
Subs: Pantilimon, Milner, Johnson, Aguero, Hargreaves, Clichy, Rekik.
Referee: Phil Dowd
Liverpool might be slight favorites tonight as they take a 1-0 margin back to their hallowed home turf from the first leg. Roberto Mancini is playing it surprisingly safe with merely Eden Dzeko up front.
I'm onto this link for the match:

Liverpool off to a quick start with several chances for Enrique and Kuyt in the opening minutes. Joe Hart is keeping Citeh in this one.
Now Bellamy's away - Pool are clearly trying to kill off this tie in the opening moments.
Nasty there from Stevie G. on Barry and he picks up an early card for it.
The game has settle a bit since those first few frenetic moments but it's still an enthralling Premiership style cup tie.
Uh oh - UWS's favorite "Crackle" site has popped up automatically. Time to refresh.
I'm back on it at the half way mark in the first half. Still 0-0 - advantage Pool.
As things stand, Citeh are creating very little up front and you have to think that Mancini will have to be a bit more bold in the second half if Citeh are to turn around this fixture.
Bellamy has the ball in the net now but he's ruled offside.
Pool still looking dangerous here.
Adam and Gerrard really bossing the midfield. Citeh seem to miss Yaya.
Wow - I've just come back to the computer after a student dropped by and Citeh have scored and now Stevie G. is lining up a penalty. Scores!
1-1 (2-1 Pool on aggregate)
I've just seen the penalty incident again and it appears really harsh. The ball struck Micah Richards' arm but only after it had deflected up off his boot. Definitely not intentional.
So, that means that there will be no penalty shoot-out in this semi final. If Citeh are to come back it will only be by scoring more away goals than Pool managed at Eastlands.
Good afternoon BD. I am here to join you for a en exciting second half.
Mancini is about to brging on the big guns as Aguero is on for Savic as it is an attacker for a defnder. A bold move for the usually cautious Roberto.
The second half kicks off from Anfield as the FSC crew annouces. Who will face Evil Cardiff in the final?
Jim Proudfoot stated that Richards will go in the center of defense, partnering Lescott as it appears to be a back three for Citeh.
A tale of penalties in the semifinals as Evil Cardiff dfeated Palace in a shootout last night and Liversox are leading on aggregate thanks to two Stevie G penalties.
Stevie G shot a rocket at Hart that the keeper could not hold and Lescott cleared before Dwoning could punce on the rebound.
High and wide by Barry after a croiss from Kolorov was cleared. Better from Citeh as Aguero was the focal point of the attack.
Liversox have a free kick after it appeared the ref would play the advantage.
A briilaiant save by Hart from Skrtel after the free kick from Stevie G was not cleared. Two consecutive Liversox corners.
Hart saves well from Downing as Kuyyt raced down the right and put in a good cross.
The croner from Stevie G was headed away by Barry.
Play is stopped as Bellamy is down injured. Kolorov is booked for an earlier challenge as Phil Dowd played the advantage.
I wonder why Kolorov has allowed Kuyyt so much joy down the right.
Bellamy wins a corner off of Richards.
The link froze and it is time to refresh.
I cannot seem to load the link for some reason. I will keep on trying.
It seems as if I will not be able to reload the link.
Citeh regain the lead and now lead 1-2 at Anfield and on the away goals rule. Are they going to Wemberley?
Bellamy scores for Liversox to kae it 2-2 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate. How He would love to show Mancini who showed him the door at Eastlands as he could face the team he played for last year in the final.
Into stoppage time and Liversox look like facing Evil Cardiff in the final.
It finishes 2-2 at Anfield and Liversox win 3-2 on aggregate.
So it will be Liversox vs Evil Cardiff in the Carling Cup final as Bellamy played forthe Evils last season and scored the winner against his previous employers. He must be delighted.Cheers everyone.
Sorry I missed you yesterday afternoon, mate. I hope that you're still enjoying Orlando.
I reckon that Liverpool were a touch fortunate to win on that dodgy penalty call against Micah Richards. But they're through to meet Evil Cardiff on February 26th.
