Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Unfortunately, I won't be around to follow what I'm hoping is a new historic loss for the Warnock, as I'll be presenting some research at the College of Education Symposium this afternoon. So, I'll leave it to you lads to keep the home fires burning.
Hey Bob,
I was about to post too... I will not be around today for ALL THREE O'CLOCK KICK OFFS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!
I will be at my fantasy baseball draft
SHUT IT DAHLGREN... COME ON LEEEDS... and Sunderland!
TTFN
Morning, UWS. Sounds like it'll be a quiet day on the LOB. I'll be around for the duration tomorrow and also hope to catch the United match on Monday. Of course, next weekend, Gooner and I will be live and direct in Blighty!
Evil Cardiff and Evil Millwall are currently locked in an Evil 0-0 draw at half-time. Honestly, how many evil sides can the Championship take. If the Blades get promoted, we'll be overloaded with evil in the league. Of course, I'll hoping that next season we'll no longer be led by Warnock's evil regime.
15 minutes left at Cardiff. Still 0-0. Is it possible that some benevolent higher force could drop down and smite them all?
Full-time at the Millennium. 0-0.
Good morning lads. I am watching from Eastlands.
COME ON YOU BLACK CATS!
Kick-off time in Blighty, then. I'm off in about 15 minutes. Hoping the Hornets can put two or three by Lonergan by the time I leave.
Milner immediately wins a corner off of Bardsley that is wasted as Phil Dowd blows for a foul.
Morning, MUR! Here's the link for SS:
http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/116287/1/watch-soccer-saturday.html
Good morning BD. I am hoping the Black Cats can put about three past Hart.
The shocking news out of the Villa camp this week is that Stiljan Petrov, the Villa skipper, has been diagnosed yesterday with a rare form of leukemia. The side should be up for this one against Chelski today. I'm watching for the moment on FSC.
Thanks BD. I will get on that link. Can you Adam and Eve it? They already have Sam Adams summer Ale on sale in Texas?
I thought I heard his name , but didn't know the reason. I am very sad to hear that.I am on ESPN 2, hoping that Citeh get clobbered.
Fantastic - enjoy one or two for me!
Sessignon was through, but Koulo made a great tackle.
Thanks, BD. I think that is awfully early as the Spring Ale just came out.
Micah Richards is down injured, holding hi hammy, and he may be done for the day.
Now Citeh have a free kick in dangerous position.
Torres can't score for toffee but Chelski have scored. Sturridge with the opener after Fernando spurned several openings.
morning lads. cagey start at loftus road. buzzing a bit from last night's destruction of dallas fc by dcu.
Fulham lead Norwich 1-0.
Good morning Gooner. I will be cheering for the Gunners as I hope they defeat the Evil Queens. Sorry to hear about that goal,BD. I am cheering for the villains.
Some goals in the Championship. Watford have taken the lead at ER and the Hammers have taken the lead vs Reading in the vital clash for second place.
The Owls defeated Preston 2-0 in an early kickoff.
nice one mur. at the moment we're a bit unsettled. they've been sent out to muscle us around and mike reid the ref is buying every qpr complaint. i'd be happier too if song wasn't passing the ball to a hooped shirt at every opportunity.
Craig Gardener should have given Sunderland the lead as he was superbly put through by Sessignon and had just Hart to beat, but his shot hit the side netting.
Yes - the Hornets are 0-1 up through Chris Iwelumo, who has a habit of scoring against us. Keep it up, Chris! I hope he scores six today.
Sorry to abandon you lads, but I'm off to my conference. Wish me luck!
I agree, Gooner. Song is capable of doing better, but if Mike Reid has been bribed by Tony Fernandes then you just never know.
Good luck at the conference ,BD. I hope to chat with you tomorrow.
Mignolet tipped over an effort form Dzeko, but Citeh wasted the corner.
Fulham now lead Norwich 2-0. Coventry have have taken the lead at Hull City.
Burnley have taken the lead at Pompey. Bad news for UWS regarding the scores at Fratton Park and the K.C>
PLAY UP POMPEY!
That seems to have worked as Pompey have tied it up vs Burnley.
Everton have taken the lead vs West Brom.
Rangers won 1-2 at Motherwell in that vital clash for the last CL spot, but that may be a moot issue as Rangers may not be eligible to play in Europe next season.
Derby County have taken the lead at Bristol City.
that's annoying. vermaelen was very weak and taraabt has given qpr the lead. very annoying because we're very sluggish against an agresssive display from qpr.
BUGGER!!!
QPR HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD VS THE GUNNERS.
SORRY GOONER.
Superb tackle by Colback on Richards for a Citeh corner.
Balo heads well over from the corner. He really should have scored.
our build up is too slow. rangers are having too easy a time getting back from forays forward.
Ina Darke said that the last team to have a 100% home record in the top flight was Sunderland in 1892.
DON'T LET CITEH TIE YOUR RECORD!
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
GUNNER OLD BOY SEB LARSSON GIVES THE BLACK CATS THE LEAD OFF A DEFLECTED SHOT AFTER A SUPERB RUN AND PASS BY SESSIGNON.
That could be a priceless goal as far as United is concerned.
Now Mancini is complaining at Dowd for who knows what.
SHUT IT ROBERTO!
Kolorov shoots miles wide.
KEEP IT UP!
For some reasom I am no table to get in to the Gillette Soccer Saturday link and am relying on Soccernet.
The replay shows that Craig Gardener took a shot and it deflected off of Larsson, wrong footing Hart,
Citeh win a corner off of some great passing.
The corner is cleared. We are hoping for a favor from Sunderland so we don't need to get something at their place on the last day of the season.
LOVELY JUBBLY! THE GUNNERS HAVE TIED IT UP AT LOFTUS ROAD!
BEAUTIFUL. rvp holds it up for theo who bangs it against the post, reacts quickly and passes it into the net. first attempt on goal from arsenal results in a goal.
Citeh wanted as Balo went down in the box, but Dowd was having none of it and Mignolet wanted a booking for diving.
It sounds like Theo played a one-two with the post.
Citeh have a free kick just outside the box.
The free kick is deflected just wide from Kolorov and the short corner is eventually cleared as Citeh start to pile on the pressure.
Too late , Ian . We already know that Arsenal scored.
BUGGER! CITEH HAVE A PENALTY AND SUNDERLAND PLAYERS SURROUND PHIL DOWD!
BUGGER!! BALO SENDS MIGNOLET THE WRONG WAY WITH A CHEEKY PENALTY.
theo shinned it a bit which is why it hit the post. but he got on the rebound really quickly to net.
the mockney git color guy is criticizing arsenal's tackling as tenuous, but the combination of qpr's diving and reid's gullibility is a factor that can't be dismissed.
A horrible decision by Dowd as Dzeko appeared to run into Craig Gardener and went down so easily in the box and as I type a fight breaks out as Sunderland retaliate by fouling Dzeko. It appeared that Dzeko wanted to start a fight with Bardsley and had to be restrained by several Citeh players. It must have been something that was said.
Another Citeh corner that is easily cleared as we are deep into stoppage time.
Plymouth lead Bradford 1-0. BD will be pleased.
Peep-peep. At the half, it's 1-1 at Loftus Road. Time to get down the tunnel and come up with some solution to qpr's physicality. it's all they have and we should have the resources to prevail eventually.
coffee-time!
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!
BIG NIK HAS GIVEN SUNDERLAND THE LEAD WITH A WELL PLACED HEADER FROM A SUPERB CROSS DEPP INTO STOPPAGE TIME.GREAT JOB EX GUNNERS!
Now it's halftime at Eastlands and Sunderland lead 1-2, but it should really be 0-2.
I don;t what happened, but the Hammers were leading 1-0 and now trail Reading 1-2 at Upton Park.
Sorry Jonno.
WOW! That moves Plymouth up to fifth from bottom and three points clear of the drop zone.
COME ON YOU PILGRIMS!
Two assists for Sessignon as Sunderland lead 1-2. He went easily past Yaya to cross for Nik who beat Richards for to head in that goal.Well done Ses. Keep it up.
And we're off from Eastlands.
Burnley now lead 1-2 at Fratton Park.
Sorry UWS
PLAY UP POMPEY!
qpr caught whinging about a clip in the area and nearly open it up for an on-rushing Gibbs who heads JUST wide.
our passing to a red shirt continues to be diabolical.
Useless short corner for m the Black Cats and Mclean commits a foul to prevent a Citeh break,. He receives a stern lecture from Dowd.
Colback clears a cross from Kolorov for a Citeh corner.
Chelsea now lead 0-2 at Villa Park.
Ivanovic scored the second Chelsea goal. UWS will not be pleased, but Tony will be delighted.
Arteta gets kicked and theres a free kick to be taken...... badly. the pass to vermaelen to shoot was very slow and is charged down by zamora.
the pitch at loftus road is cutting up terribly. what looked to be a bad bit of control is revealed to a have hit a crater and caromed off theo's shin.
Michael Kightly has given Wolves the lead vs Bolton in a relegation clash at Molineaux.A priceless goal for Wolves?
Was the Loftus Road pitch struck by a meteorite or is it some evil scheme by the QPR ownership?
Wigan take the lead vs Stoke.
hand-ball! to the right of the area. no direct line of fire, but rvp bends it to kelly who spilles it but its hacked away.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
SUNDERLAND LEAD 1-3 AS LARSSON SCORES EASILY FROM CLOSE RANGE AS CITEH WERE CAUGHT BY A SUCKER PUNCH ON THE BREAK!
ALL GOALS HAVE COME FROM EX GUNNERS AS LARSSON SCORED HIS SECOND.
Forest have taken the lead at Palace.
Lee Cattermole receives his customary booking.
It was that man Sessignon again as he caught Citeh sleeping and put Nik through down the right and he laid it on a plate for Larsson.Great work from the ex Gunners ans Ses.
Tev is on for Silva. I hope he doesn't have the same impact that he did vs Stoke and Chelsea. To be honest Silva did naught today.
Koulo heads over a corner from Milner when he really should have scored.
Posh have taken the lead vs the Foxes and Ipswich have taken the lead vs Barnsley.
Citeh win a corner after a scramble in the Sunderland box.
BUGGER!
READING NOW LEAD 1-3 AT UPTON PARK.
Middlesbrough have taken the lead at Brighton in that vital playoff clash.
Five 0-1 away leads in the N Power Championship!
BUGGER! QPR HAVE TAKEN A 2-1 LEAD VS THE GUNNERS.
Citeh have a free kick just outside the box and Balo has a tantrum because he can't take the free kick. Roberto shakes his head in disappointment . The free kick from Kolorov is curled wide.
Nik has a cross deflected for a corner.
Matty Kilgallon has header deflected wide for another corner as Nik won a ball he had no right to win , then Kilgallon heads wide from the resulting corner.
Everton now lead West Brom 2-0.
A Sunderland corner is headed away and Citeh break through Tev , but he shoots into the side netting as he had three Sunderland players converging and no Citeh players in support.
Cambridge United lead Wrexham 1-0 and with Fleetwood leading 0-2 at bottom club, Bath it looks like the Welsh club is resigned to a playoff spot while Fleetwood look like winning promotion to League 2.
Bolton have tied it up at Wolves. It looks bleak for Wolves as QPR and Wigan are winning.
Brighton have tied it up vs Middlesbrough.
As Macca stated , Citeh look very ordinary. I'm not ready to write them off.
Martin Petrov scored from the spot for Bolton.Alcaraz scored the Wigan goal.Diakite scored his first for Evil QPR to give them the lead vs Arsenal.
Lots of Citeh shots have been blocked by a stingy Black Cat defense.
Bristol City have tied it up vs Derby County.
BUGGER!!!
BURNLEY NOW LEAD 1-3 AT FRATTON PARK.
Sorry UWS.
Norwich have scored at Craven Cottage , but trail 2-1. Better than their last visit when they lost 6-0 and were relegated on the last day of the 2004-2005 season.
BLOOODY HELL!!!
WHAT HAPPENED? IT'S 2-2 AT VILLA PARK AFTER THE VILLAINS WERE JUST 0-2 DOWN.
Now Bolton lead 1-2 at Molineaux.
That must be it for Wolves.
West Ham have just scored at Upton Park, but still trail 2-3 vs Reading .
BD will be shocked.Eric Lichaj has a goal and an assist as Villa scored twice in three minutes as he assisted on a goal for central defensive partner, James Collins, then scored himself three minutes later.
Ivanovic has scored his second as Chelsea now lead 2-3 at Villa Park.
David Pizarro came on for James Milner
Wolves implode as they now trail Bolton 1-3.
Krygiakos, the ex Liverpool defender, is on for Matty Kilgallon, the ex Blades and Leeds defender.
Now Citeh fans leave as they are resigned to their fate.

Two minutes plus stoppage time .
Balo has a shot deflected for a corner.
Sunderland struggle to clear the corner.
Sunderland struggle to clear the corner.
Another Citeh corner.
I'm back at a break and disappointed to see that we're only 0-1 down. Come on, Chris - stick a few in the net!
Another struggle to clear the Citeh corner.
Welcome back, BD.A dramatic day.

Chelsea have defeated Villa 2-4.Torres scored the Chelsea fourth, David Vaughan is on for Cattermole.Burnley lead 1-4 at Fratton park.
The last chance for Citeh?
Phil Dowd blows the final whistle and it finishes 3-3 at Eastlands as I try to catch my breath. I would have taken this result before the match started as Citeh's 100% home record is ruined. I am disappointed as Sunderland lead 1-3 and basically dropped two points.
Roberto and Phil Dowd are having a spat ,walking down the tunnel and Roberto should shut it before he ends up with a suspension.
Here are the EPL final scores:
Villa 2 Chelsea 4
Everton 2 West Brom 0
Fulham 2 Norwich 1
QPR 2 Arsenal 1
Wigan 2 Stoke 0
Wolves 2 Bolton 3
Bad news for Blackburn , who hopefuully lose to United on Monday. Torres scored his first goal in ages.

Palace 0 Forest 3

Sorry UWS and WHR.BD will be pleased.
Plymouth held on to defeat Bradford City 1-0 and were helped by the fact that the bottom two clubs, Hereford and Macclesfield, both lost.
So United will go five points clear if they win at Ewood Park on Monday night.
NO MORE SLIP UPS UNITED!
THE BOTTOM SIX IS AS FOLLOWS:
Villa 33 pts -9 gd
Bolton 29 pts -24 gd
Blackburn 28 pts -19 gd
Evil QPR 28 pts -19 gd
Wigan 28 pts -26 gd
Wolves 22 pts -35 gd
As I stated wolves are all, but down, but it is really tight for the two remaining spots.
Everton move ahead of rivals, Liverpool in to seventh. Sunderland would have done the same had they defeated Citeh.
Now the Championship as Sotton and Reading look to pull away from the rest of the division, especially if Sotton defeat Blackpool in the late match. With that loss Leeds is now six points out of a playoff spot and all but done with only six matches remaining. BD will be pleased. That loss hurt Pompey who are now five pints from safety and unfortunately, look set to go down with Donny.Coventry, with their first way win of the season, pull out of the drop zone as that final drop spot os between them, Bristol City, and Evil Millwall, who have been dragged down as Forest start to pull away. I would love to see the Evil Lions go down.
That win helped Plymouth as the bottom of League 2 is :
Northampton 42 pts -19 gd
Daggenham 41 pts -26 gd
Bradford City 40 pts - 7 gd
Plymouth 40 pts -16 gd
Barnet 39 pts -24 gd
Macclesfield 36 pts -17 gd
Hereford 35 pts -23 gd
Plymouth is now four points clear as I will be cheering for Barnet and Plymouth as those are Bob's favorite teams in that group.
I will not be around for the late match. I hope to enjoy the pleasure of your company tomorrow.
CHEERS LADS!
I am back on and am surprised to see that Blackpool lead Sotton 2-0 at halftime. I am on a firstrow link.
As I type the top of the Championship is :
Sotton 78 pts + 35 gd
Reading 76 pts +24 gd
Hammers 72 pts +21 gd
Brum 63 pts + 21 gd
Blackpool 63 pts +12 gd
Brighton 63 pts +8 gd
Middlesbrough 63 pts + 3 gd
Evil Cardiff 61 pts +7 Gd
Hull City 58 pts +2 gd
Leeds 57 pts 0 gd
Watford 57 pts - 7 gd
As I type the top of the Championship is :
Sotton 78 pts + 35 gd
Reading 76 pts +24 gd
Hammers 72 pts +21 gd
Brum 63 pts + 21 gd
Blackpool 63 pts +12 gd
Brighton 63 pts +8 gd
Middlesbrough 63 pts + 3 gd
Evil Cardiff 61 pts +7 Gd
Hull City 58 pts +2 gd

Watford 57 pts - 7 gd
So Sotton and Reading appear to have locked up the automatic promotion spots while the Hammers appear to be a lock for the playoffs. The remaining three spots appear to be a battle between Brum, Blackpool, Brighton ,Middlesbrough, and Evil Cardiff.
The second half is underway from Bloomfield Road as Daniel De Ritter is on Ricky Chaplow as Sotton made an expected change.Billy Sharp missed a first half penalty for Sotton.
Great tackle by Bob Harris on Billy Sharp to prevent a certain Sotton goal.
A good early response from Sotton as Nigel Adkins must have let the Sotton players have it at halftime.
Useless cross from De Ridder.
Blackpool win a corner after lots of Sotton possession.
Adam Fontaine heads out for another Tangerine corner. Now it's a third Blacpool corner as Ince has taken teasers.
GOAL !!! 3-0 BLACKPOOL AS THE THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM AS IAN EVATT SCORES WITH A HEADER OFF THE CORNER FROM MATT PHILLIPS . TERRIBLE SOTTON DEFENDING AS THEY WERE ALL GUILTY OF BALL WATCHING AND KEEPER, KELVIN DAVIS LOOKED CLUELESS.
Adam Llana wins a corner off of Neil Eardley.
The corner from Llana fails to beat the first man.
Another Blackpool corner as a cross is deflected.
The corner from Ince is headed out by Billy Fox for another corner.
Matt Phillips has shot go out for a throw as the corner was taken short.
It was Steve De Ridder, not Daniel De Ridder.
Now Sotton have a corner . Llana shoots well over as Gilks was guilty of a really poor punch from the corner taken by Fox.
Stephen Dobbie, on loan from Swansea, scored both goals in the first half.
Off the line by Bob Harris from Billy Sharp, but Sharp was just offside.
Matt Phillips shot well wide from long range.
Great tackle by Alex Baptiste on Billy Sharp.
Great cross by De Ridder, but Llana failed to make contact.
Daniel Fox is booked for a nasty foul, the first of the match.
Keith Southern is the longest serving Blackpool player with ten years of service. He sure has been through a lot then as he was signed by Steve McMahon.
Angel Martinez fouls Fontaine about a foot outside the box and is booked as a result. A chance for Sotton.
Great save by Gilks from Fox off the free kick.Sharp was offside from the resulting cross.
Now Taylor-Fletcher wins a free kick off of Fontaine. The free kick from Matt Phillips is headed away and Southern has a shot blocked. Phillips wins a corner off of Fontaine.
the corner from Matt Phillips is cleared.
Tom Ince went down in the box , rose up and won a corner when defended by three Sotton players.
Brett Ormerod, the veteran is on for Dobbie, who scored a brace in the first half.
Sotton counter with a change as Lee Barnard is on for Da Prado.
Tangerine fans chant
TOP OF THE LEAGUE YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH!
Great support from the Tangerine fans.
John Fleck is on for Matt Phillips. He is the son of Robert Fleck, the former Rangers and Norwich striker. John is on loan form Rangers.
All three clubs relegated from the EPL occupy a playoff position in the N Power Championship. Only one can go up if any.
Tom Ince, the Liverpool reject, is replaced by Tresor Lomana Loa Loa.
Useless free kick from Daniel Fox.
There will be three minutes of stoppage time.
Into stoppage time as this match was done dusted ages ago.
A late Sotton corner.
A scramble in the box and and Barnard has a shot blocked to end the Sotton threat.
That's it and Sotton win 3-0.
We begin tomorrow with Newcastle vs Liverpool at 8:30 AM , followed by Spurs vs Swansea at 11 AM. Come join for the action.
CHEERS!
I am back from draft day.... As MUR stated, I would have taken that score before kick off but DAMN!!!!
What other results....I thought Rovers were almost safe but they could be in then bottom three by Monday....Villa should be scared...everyone around them are winning...they're not.
Talk to you tomorrow
It looks as if I missed an exciting afternoon of the good stuff. Of course, I'm particularly thrilled that Warnock's Evil Leeds suffered a second consecutive home defeat to lower-half opposition. I would have preferred that Chris Iwelumo had scored 8 but a brace will have to do. Surely that's enough to kick start the "Warnock Out" movement?
Just saw the Citeh free kick incident with Balo... what two year old!!!
Good morning UWS. I have a link on firstrowsports, but I wonder if you are able to watch it on FSC +. I have just discovered that Roma have defeated Novarra 5-2.
