Here's the link for that Citeh match:
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/131367/1/watch-besiktas-vs-manchester-city.html
Fairly open match so far in this first half. Ten minutes gone.
Fernandez is causing some trouble for the Citeh backline and Besiktas have had several decent chances in the last few minutes.
Oh - Tevez was in there but Ibrahim got across to block him just in the nick of time. Best chance of the match.
Oh - Fernandez should have put Besiktas 1-0 up there. Great double save from Pantilimon in the Citeh goal.
GOAL! Kun Aguero fires Citeh into the lead - his and Citeh's first goal in pre-season.
1-0!
Tevez started that, playing toward Razad who dummied over it and left it for Aguero who bent the ball in with his left peg. Lovely finish.
And that's the half time whistle!
Good afternoon, BD.Hot and sunny here. How was the first half?
Two minutes into the second half and Citeh lead 1-0.
Citeh is wearing all maroon today. When does sky blue clash with red or are Citeh trying to sell this away kit in an evil merchandising scheme?
It seems like a fairly strong Citeh side.
Free kick from Fernandez is headed out by Kompany for a Besiktas corner
The corner from Fernandez is headed away by Komapny and Vladimir Weiss is fouled as Citeh break.
GOAL! Excellent team goal finished off by, of all people, Vincent Kompany!
2-0!
GOAL!!! 2-0 CITEH AS BESIKTAS CHEAPLY CONCEDED POSSESSION IN MIDFIELD , ADAM JOHNSON SUPERBLY PUT KOMPANY THROUGH AND HE CHEEKILY CHIPPED THE KEEPER.
Hiya, MUR - sorry, I've been taking care of a few work duties while half an eye on the match. How's your day going?
Good afternoon, BD. Just got back from the counseling.
It's been a lazy summer day otherwise. How about yourself?
Stefan Savic, the one player who didn't really earn his EPL medal,is on for Kompany.
OH! OFF THE POST FROM LONG RANGE AS BESIKTAS WERE UNL;UCKY NOT TO PULL ONE BACK.PANTIMILLON WAS COMPLETELY BEATEN!
It was nice to see Elizabeth and kids at home with you yesterday. I hope that's a good sign for you two.
Citeh were luck again as Koulo Toure conceded possession just outside the box , but Mustapha ran the ball out of play.
Thanks BD. We have been making progress, but we still have a way to go.
Pantilimon pushes a long range effort around the post for a Besiktas corner.Pantilimon punches away the corer from Fernandez.
More changes as Luca Skapuzzi , the former Milan youth player,is on for Tev.
The keeper punches away a cross by Weiss. He could have caught it.
Mario Jelavic, on trial from Hajduk Split , is on for Aguero. No relation to the Everton player.
It seems like the youth team players and trialists are on as Citeh seem to have this match won.
Agreed - Citeh have just about strolled this one today.
Well wide from long range from Jelavic.
This Razak bloke looks a bit tasty.
Weiss is fouled on the break and that would have been a booking in a competitive match.
George Evans is on for Yaya. Agreed about Razak. will he get a chance in the first team once the EPL season starts.
Handbags now between Evans and Fernandez. Kolarov wants a bit too.
Yellow cards all round.
I think only Evans was booked. Why not Fernandez who had his arms raised? I guess only minors get booked?
Now Fernandez is widely replaced before he pulls a Balo.Poor by Fernandez, who is an experienced player and should be setting an example. He was being spiteful and trying to cause problems. Good riddance.
Lots of Besiktas substitutions as they have already conceded this match as have the fans.
Poor long range effort from Adam Johnson. He's better than that.
Hey boys,
I am not going to bother watching Citeh. I was hoping that the GB game was on FSC but sadly no
Is thee a link for it?
Good afternoon, UWS. There is a link for it on firstrowsports.
BLOW UP REF! What's the point of playing on?
Weiss concedes a free kick just outside the Citeh box.
More Citeh changes. Boyat for Koulo Toure.Even Roberto's son is on for a cameo.
Into stoppage time and the ref blows up, using common sense.Citeh comfortably win 2-0
I need to bugger off as Sparky as I have to pick up Spark from the groomers. I should be back in time to watch the GB Olympic team.
Hiya, UWS - ominously impressive from Citeh, I'm afraid.
Here's the link for the GB v. Brazil match:
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/131375/1/watch-great-britain-vs-brazil.html
Not working yet but should be up in a couple of ticks.
I have the link up and running
Teams in the tunnel
As for Citeh looking ominous, United looked great over here last summer!
Giggs not singning GSTQ...neither is Bellamy
Very tasty looking Brazil line-up, similar to the side that we saw take the US side apart in Maryland earlier in the summer.
Useless corner from Giggs failing to beat the first man. The ball comes back to him and he hits the same defender again!
I see no reason why the GB team couldn't do well in the Olympics
Here are the line-ups:
GB: Jason Steele, Ryan Bertrand, Micah Richards, James Tomkins, Neil Taylor, Tom Cleverley, Joe Allen, Ryan Giggs, Danny Rose, Craig Bellamy, Daniel Sturridge
Subs: Jack Butland, Steven Caulker, Craig Dawson, Jack Cork, Aaron Ramsey, Scott Sinclair, Marvin Sordell.
Brazil: Barbosa, Rafael, Thiago Silva, Juan, Marcelo, Sandro, Romulo, Oscar, Hulk, Neymar, Leandro
Subs: Neto, Moura, Brotolanca, Danilo, Lobo, Paulo Henrique, Pato.
I do - they don't look very good.
Fleet Street is reporting that there is a three-way chase on for RVP between Citeh, United and Juve. Do you want him?
Oh dear - that was a big miss by the golden boy Neymar. He does miss a lot of chances, but then he scores a fair few as well.
You have members of United, Citeh, Chelsea and Liverpool in the side... they can't be that bad
NO!!!!!!!!!!
Hello UWS and BD. Where is the match being played?
Yes, but how many of that lot would make the first XI of the Premiership top four or six?
Maybe Giggs, maybe Sturridge on occasion. Any others?
It's at the Riverside, MUR. Welcome back.
Great banter UWS and BD. I think it is a decent side, but I don't see them winning the gold.Perhaps a bronze.
UWS wants no part of the RVP transfer saga - do you want him at OT, MUR?
Thanks, BD.Butland made the squad for the Euros, but Jason Steele is starting in goal. I would have taken Steele to the Euros.
Look at this - Brazil are playing it about for fun!
We will definitely take him,BD!
Giggs, Bellamy, Richards and Cleverley all start
Cleverley started all the matches for United... when they were good... before he got hurt
1-0 Brazil!
Hulk lining up a free kick. Not sure I'd want to be in that wall.
No, it's a cheeky little chip that finds it's way to Sandro for the opening GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!
GOAL!!! 1-0 AS IT WAS TOO EASY FOR BRAZIL OFF THAT FREE KICK FROM NEYMAR. DISGRACEFUL DEFENDING FROM GB!
Interesting. UWS says "no" to RVP but MUR wants him. Hmmmm...
I think you'd be mad to pass him up, UWS. You still don't have any real strikers. I haven't heard that you've landed Lewandowski yet, have you?
Is this Brazil's Olympic team or full team?If it is the Olympic team then GB will definitely not get the gold.
Naughty by Marcelo on Sturridge. Let's see how Brazil defend this free kick.
Oh - nearly an immediate response from a similar free kick aimed at Micah Richards at the backstick.
Not much better as Richards headed across the free kick from Cleverley and Brazil struggled to clear
He's had ONE good season! He was always hurt before last season
I was like BD, I never rated him before this last season
DID YOU SEE HIM IN THE EUROS?
Lewandowski would be a great signing too. He would be reunited with Kagawa , who assisted on many of his goals at Dortmund.
It is the Olympic team because it is a warm up for both of them
This is just about Brazil's first team, with perhaps the exception of Rafael, Sandro and Romulo. Definitely not an Olympic side.
Too many overage players, methinks.
What do you think about Ledley King retiring?
Everyone always went gaga about him but I never really saw it! Again, he was always hurt
What do you think about Ledley King retiring?
Everyone always went gaga about him but I never really saw it! Again, he was always hurt
I think it will be different at OT with a different atmosphere, different manager, different group of players. He would be a great addition. That extra bit of quality could be the difference between the title going to us and Citeh.
I'm not surprised. He'd got to the point where he couldn't even train properly. He'd just show on match day and play. That can't go on for long.
Agreed, MUR.
I do agree with you about Ledley King. He sure got plenty of chances.
Cheers, BD.
It says that every member of Brazil's squad have a senior cap
Great tackle by Bellamy on Neymar, who was being a big time Charlie
That must make them the favorites for the gold.
Brazil, who are aiming to win their first Olympic football title, have been drawn in Group C along with Egypt, Belarus and New Zealand.
But before that they will play a warm-up friendly against Stuart Pearce's Team GB side at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium on 20 July.
Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral (Santos), Neto (Fiorentina)
Defenders: Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael (Manchester United), Danilo (Porto), Alex Sandro (Porto), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Juan (Inter Milan), Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo)
Midfielders: Romulo (Vasco da Gama), Ganso (Santos), Oscar (Internacional), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Lucas (Sao Paulo)
Forwards: Neymar (Santos), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Hulk (Porto).
Replacements: Marquinhos (Corinthians), Giuliano (Dniepr/UKR), Cassemiro (Sao Paulo), Gabriel (AC Milan/ITA)
Bloody hell - if this really is their Olympic side and all of them are under 23 then the rest of the world is in a whole load of trouble for the next ten years!
That is a really excellent Brazil squad, UWS.They would do a decent job in the World Cup.
GB plays their first Olympic match vs Senegal at OT on July 25th at 3 PM, one day before the Olympics actually starts. Their other group matches are vs the UAE on July 29th at Wemberley and vs Uruguay on August 1st at the Ricoh, the city where the idiot kids pulled that stunt. Those two matches kick off at 2:45 PM.
Useless short GB corner.
Sturridge is Defoe in disguise
They say the Brazilian keeper struggles on high balls... so we do a short corner!!
The match vs Senegal is on the 26th, not the 25th
Agree with you about the short corner, especially with their keeper.
Alright, I'm doing some research here. Marcelo is 24, Hulk is 25, Thiago Silva is 27. How many overage players are they allowed?
Decent long range effort from Leandro
It's only supposed to be three.
It is true that more of them are around 20-23 than I'd expected.
Did you see GB's schedule that I posted. Their first Olympic game is on Thursday at OT
Neymar does a Greg Louganis. Unfortunately that's part of his game.
Slip by Neymar, then faking injury. So much for Olympic sportsmanship
I thought it was superb defending by Ryan Bertrand, who seems like a future England defender. Cashley's successor.
I wouldn't be surprised if this side didn't get edged out by Senegal and then absolutely mullered by Uruguay.
We might get something against the Emiratis.
You're allowed three overaged players
Penalty to Brazil
Definitely a penalty as Richards tripped Hulk in the box.
Stonewall
Penalty to Brazil. Micah Richards tries to haul down the Hulk. He's lucky Hulk didn't turn green and chuck him out of the ground.
Neymar to take....
And sticks it away past Steele who got close. Nice and low. Good pen.
2-0!
Don't make him angry!
2-0
GOAL !!! 2-0 AS GREG LOUGANIS SHOT THE PENALTY JUST UNDER JASON STEELE'S ARM!
This is pretty similar to the way that this side took the US apart earlier in the summer.
BOOM BOOM, BD and UWS!
Agreed, BD. I would be shocked if they don't win the gold medal.
Oh - Neymar was in again from Damiao but his angle was tight. Steele did well.
Jason Steele blocked an effort from Neymar at the near post. The corner was cleared.
I would not be surprised to see Jason Steele playing in the EPL in the near future. He was unlucky not to be on the plane to the Ukraine, IMHO!
I partially agree, BD. I believe second place will be between GB and Senegal, but I think GB will just get second place before going out in the quarters
Where's he playing now, MUR?
It would be embarrassing for Great Britain to go out in the group stage...at home!
Poor foul by Sandro on Cleverley. He should be booked for that
I'm off to the library for a tick. Back for the second half.
He starts for Middlesbrough. He is playing on his home ground this evening.
This Tourney is not good for Cleverley... it means he won't be Fergie's plans from the start of the season. He always rests them
I am off to the bank.. hope to be back after some other errands
Cheers, BD. Catch you later. I am off to Buffalo Wild Wings to pick up Elizabeth and Jacquelyn
Cheers UWS.
I'm back for the second half but it sounds like I'm flying solo.
Scott Sinclair, Jack Cork and Jack Butland are all coming on at half time.
Good save by Butland from Romulo's drive. Brazil on the front foot again from the off.
Hello BD . I just arrived back from Picking up Elizabeth and Jacquelyn at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Great save by the keeper from Bellamy from close range, but he was offside after a great cross from Danny Rose. The best GB possession of the match
Oh - best attack of the match there for Team GB. Danny Rose attacked the by-line and got a shot cum cross off that Cabral did well to spoon away.
Keeper , Barbosa is down injured, but is he really injured?
another cross from Danny Rose that was too high for Ryan Giggs to head home.
Marcello wins a corner off of Steven Caulker.
The corner was headed away and GB win back possession.
Aaron Ramsey , the young Welshman, is on for Giggs, the elder Welshman> Marvin Sordell is on for Bellamy.
Cleverley wins a free kick off of Marcello.
The free kick from Ramsey is easily cleared.
A superb block by Neil Taylor from Neymar on the break.
Brazil maintain possession off the short corner.
Useless cross by Romelo and the fans cheer. Two Brazil changes.Lucas Mora is on for Oscar.Ganso is on for Hulk. Man United is interested in Mora and Arsenal is interested in Ganso.
Naughty by Raffa on Scott Sinclair.
The game gone a bit off the boil, predictably. Brazil have done what they came to do and no more. Team GB haven't got enough quality.
Quack quack - here's come Alexandre Pato.
Against the US, Pato came on, collected a lovely cross from Marcelo off the chest and hammered home Brazil's fourth goal of the night. He's no mug.
Lucas Mora wins a corner off of Danny Rose after some poor GB defending.Pato is on for Leandro Damiao. Craig Dawson of West Brom is on for Micah Richards.
I agree with you about Pato and about the fact that Brazil have accomplished their goal for this evening.
Marvin Sordell - never heard of him. You?
Also agree that GB lack the quality. As UWS asks, where's the quality?
He was signed by Bolton from Watford in the January transfer window. Scored lots of goals for Watford, but has had trouble breaking in to the Bolton lineup. May do better now that Bolton is in the Championship.
Great Brazil move, but in the end it was a comfortable save by Butland from Neymar.
Sordell was unfortunate as he was called for a foul when it seemed a shoulder charge.
Alex Sandro is on for Marcello.
A bit of a rash challenge from Jack Cork.
Just wide by Neymar off a short Brazil free kick.
BLOW UP REF!
Some lovely movement now by Brazil in the midfield but without the need to cut and thrust. Not taking any chances.
I agree, MUR.
Sandro trots off having scored a rare goal today.
Danilo is on for Sandro
Thiago Silva catches it in the chops from Marvin Sordell.
Useless pass after a great break by Scott Sinclair.
Any Scots or Ulstermen in the squad?
Useless by Sordell after a superb back heel by Scott Sinclair, who surely must start vs Senegal.
Great block by Butland from Lucas Mora.
Oh - Neymar nearly bags his brace. Great save by Jack Butland there.
I hope to enjoy the pleasure of your company tomorrow morning
Great save by Butland from Neymar.
Three minutes of stoppage time. What's the point of that?
Another great block from Butland, this time from Lucas Mora, then he saves superbly from a Pato header. Then Brazil win another corner.
Could easily have been 3 or 4-0 today.
That's that. Nice chatting with you this afternoon, mate. I'm off home now to enjoy a peaceful Friday evening. I'll see you with a bagel and cuppa in the morning.
That's it and Brazil easily defeat GB, playing their first match since 1971, 2-0.
Cheers mate. See you tomorrow morning. I agree. It could have been much more.
