Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar start behind Demba Ba in attack for Chelsea. There is no room in the starting line-up for either Fernando Torres or John Terry.

Rio Ferdinand returns for Manchester United with Wayne Rooney left out of the match-day squad entirely after his exertions on international duty with England. Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck start up front.
So, SAF doesn't really want to win the FA CUp. I don't care about leaving out one of Roon and RVP but not both!
What is there to rest for? THere is a full week of rest after this one.
There is a full slate of games in the Football league today too.
It used to be the norm with the two games in three days in all the divisions... I miss that
Bob's Leeds host Derby County in the late match in the Championship... surely there will be a link

Rafa really wants to win the FA Cup. He left a lot of players out of the match at St. Marys and brought them back for this match

My answer to the Sunderland story is that appointing Di Canio is about the stupidest thing I have ever seen in all my years of following football. Martin should have been sacked at the end of the season. I hope Sunderland are relegated as a matter of principle.

Well, I agree with you about that in relation to DiCanio. That's why I thought he'd be a bad fit with Leeds with our dark history of racial politics. However, from a purely footballing standpoint, it's a good move for Sunderland.

My boy Nani would never deliver a poor cross.
I think he would be a great fit for Lazio, but nor for an EPL team for the same reason that he wouldn't be at Leeds. Not a god example for kids that are watching.

I heard a ball expert interviewed on Five Live recently. He reiterated that the balls today are exactly the same weight as they always have been...before the match. Of course, the old leather balls ended up heavier because they absorbed water.
