A Huge Day in International Footer
I'm so pumped about tomorrow's day of World Cup qualifiers that I've cleared my desk of work and am posting this thread early to encourage plenty of banter before the matches start tomorrow afternoon. I'm on Spring Break tomorrow, so it's all about the Beautiful Game for me. I hope you'll join me for some epic blogging.

The Big Match:
France v. Spain (4pm EST)
A lot of banter going back and forth between the England and Montenegran camps. On the back of the Costa Rican appeal, Woy has been bellyaching about the state of the pitch after some heavy rain. Sounds like lowering expectations before the match.
And the Montenegrans have been disrespecting the England side as slow and Route 1 oriented.
Score update:
Armenia and the Czechs are at 0-0 at half time.
Azerbaijan and Portugal are about to kick off in a crucial tie for the Portugeezers.
Half an hour in and it's still 0-0 in Azerbaijan. Not good news for Portuguese fans.
The Czechs have quickly taken the lead in the second half at Armenia through Vydra.
Vydra has got a brace, doubling the Czechs lead. They'll now end up on 8 points and in third place in the group at least temporarily.
Half-time in Azerbaijan - 0-0. Why are Portugal so pants?
Estonia have taken a 1-0 lead against Andorra in the Group D crapfest.
The Czechs have ended up 0-3 winners in Armenia.
Bruno Alves has scored a vital header for Portugal away to Azerbaijan. Half an hour to go there.
Azerbaijan are now down to ten men. Looks as if the Portuguese will cruise to a vital away win now.
Estonia are now 2-0 up against Andorra.
Good afternoon, BD. My appearance in the first half of the England match will be spotty, but I will be around for the second half. I will be around for Mexico vs the U.S this evening too.
Some results from Asia:
A huge upset as Jordan defeated Japan 2-1 as Japan would have clinched a place in Brazil with a win and it was Desmond as the Aussies hosted Oman.My mate from Jordan was delighted. Very tight in the race for second and third spot in Group B as Japan are one win from qualification.
In Group a South Korea defeated Qatar 2-1 the Uzbeks defeated Lebanon 1-0. The Uzbeks and South Koreans are in control of the group for the two automatic qualifying spots while the playoff spot is up for grabs
Estonia have defeated Andorra 2-0 in a basically meaningless match
Portugal have won 0-2 in Azerbaijan. A much needed win for the Portugese as they host group leaders, Russia, in June.
Bob Bradley's Egypt have defeated Zimbabwe 2-1 and need just one win in their three remaining group matches to move on to the final qualifying round from this group.
Ukraine and Moldova have just kicked off. Not much at stake there.
Afternoon, MUR - I'm thoroughly enjoying my Spring Break. The weather here is starting to turn and I expect to be back on the bike by week's end.
Hey Guys
I am home for the first half... sadly... I am not on Spring Break and because of the clock change, I have to leave at half time
Portugal have wrapped up a comfortable 0-2 win in Azerbaijan in the end. That vital win lifts them into second temporarily before Israel kicks off in half an hour.
Afternoon, UWS - great to have both of you on board. I've got some buddies coming over for the France v. Spain match. Will have Engerlund on the laptop as well.
Did you guys see that Costa Rica DID protest the game in Denver last weekend? We were giving them so much credit for carrying on but then protested!!
Just saw on Soccernet that it was denied!
COME ON US!!!
The Ticos protest is a load of old cobbler's - it's a non-starter with FIFA. Get over it!
Definitely the US need a draw in the Azteca tonight. I think they can get it.
Phil McNulty in Podgorica, BBC Sport Chief Football Writer
Montenegro v England (1945 GMT)
"Trouble has broken out in the top tier of a stand at one end of Podgorica's City Stadium. It appears to be Montenegro fans fighting among themselves and England's supporters are stationed at the opposite end. Riot police have gone in and are currently attempting to sort the situation out."
You were missed on the blog that day
The link has finally popped up

Milner with a decent effort just wide
Montenegro about to take a throw in.. takes it from the wrong place... throw in to England
Germany three up inside 30 minutes at home to Kazaakhstan
Monte player goes down wanting a free kick but the ref gives nowt but England give the ball away coming out.. not good

Even Lloris laughs that it wasn't given
2029:
WHAT A MISS! - Wales 1-0 Croatia
Gareth Bale goes clean thorough on the Croatian goal but goes for power as he gets sight of the whites of Stipe Pletikosa's eyes. The ball soars over the top and that could be costly for the hosts if and when Croatia start applying pressure.
England should be comfortably ahead but alas only one nil but I HAVE FAIT
Walters puts Ireland 2-1 against Austria
btw FAITH
Wales 1-0 Croatia
Former Wales striker Ian Walsh on Radio Wales: "This is the best I've seen Wales play under Chris Coleman against a quality side."
It would be a travesty if Montenegro get a goal here... they have been pants!
Italy two up in Malta
Again, a bit of pressure from Monte.. nothing dangerous... A couple efforts from long range blocked on well wide
Monte man goes down... ref gives nothing.. well done ref
Welbeck had a chance to cross but a poor effort... just like all United teams this season!!
Wales take their lead to half
Only three changes from England's victory over Brazil
All out thru injury
Cahill, Walcott and Wilshire
Is this Roy's side?
England being patient with the ball but finally try to go in the box and loses it
Gerrard has been off a bit today
COME ON STEVIE!!
Montenegro 0-1 England
According to Opta Joe Danny Welbeck has scored with all five shots on target he has had in his England career. While that is a great return, not so good is the fact he has only had five shots on target in 16 appearances.
England in total control but WE NEED ANOTHER GOAL!!!!
Hello lads . I will be around for the second half. I still see that England lead by that Roon goal.
I hope Roon lasts the full 90 this time around.
Hey MUR... I will be leaving at half time to go to my class!
Welbeck goes down in the box.. he goes down.. ref blows... diving
Just stay up Danny
I am sorry to hear that. Do you want text updates? If so, for all matches or just England.
If Monte get a lucky goal... they will get a push... England can't afford to have that happen

That would be hilarious. I doubt it.
There is no way that Montenegro deserves anything from this!
Half time... so far so good
I am off to college, if I have no students... I will comment too
Talk to you tonight
TTFN
Serbia have just taken the lead vs the Jocks. The Argies tie it up in Bolivia

Kazakhstan score in Germany as they trail the Germans 3-1.
The second half is underway and Montenegro took a quick free kick, but England were wise to that one and Milner easily cleared.
Phew!mONTENEGRO NEARLY TIED IT UP , BUT A HEADER WAS AN INCH WIDE AS IT HIT THE SIDE OF THE NETTING.

The corner from Stevie G is headed out and a great Montenegro counter, but the player attempted to chip Hart from the halfway line and the England keeper was on to it as he easily caught it.Welbeck wins a free kick just outside the Montenegro box.
The keeper does well to save the free kick from Roon.Actually, it was a fairly routine save.

Welbeck wins a free kick just outside the box and Dzudovic is booked.
The Montegrans are refusing to line up ten yards from thhe free kick and one of them is booked as the kepper pushes out a free kick from Stevie G
Poor corner from Young and it is finally cleared and the match finishes 1-1.
I will be back for Mexico vs the U.S.
CHEERS!
Hi guys - I'm back after the match. I'm of course disappointed that we didn't hang onto the lead. If was a sloppy goal to concede at a corner. However, a draw keeps us in the contention.
Not happy with the result after we dominated so much in the first half!
Still we didn't lose
I was thinking that we have already played Montenegro at Wembley but that was in the Euors
These are the remaining for the Three Lions
September 6
Moldova H
September 10

October 11... isn't that when Cortland visit Fredonia?
