I do remember Captain Peacock. I did enjoy watching the series and the jokes may have been corny , but I thought of it as British style humor.I remember Captain Peacock as the stiff, uptight, aristocratic, stereotypical upper class British manager.I agree that the Young Ones was the beginning of more modern comedies that outdated shows such as "Are You Being Served?" He wasn't my favorite character, but still a loss. He will be missed.
