Back to the Prem!
Now that England have booked their trip to Brazil next summer, it's high time to get back to the Premiership/Championship schedule. We start with what has been a classic fixture through the years - Newcastle v. Liverpool. That's followed by the usual 10am kickoffs and then the Hammers hosting Citeh in the late one. Join me for all the LOB action.

Good morning Bob. I am off to drop Melanie off for tennis and should be back in a tick.
Morning, MUR - I think I just beat you to the post by a nose today. I'm going to keep this one since you posted on it and delete the one you started.
The teams for today's match:
Krul, Debuchy, Yanga-Mbiwa, Williamson, Santon, Cabaye, Tiote, Sissoko, Ben Arfa, Remy, Gouffran.
Subs: Anita, Cisse, Elliot, Shola Ameobi, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Dummett.
The Liverpool Wingbacks, as sent out by the Roy Evans de nos jours: Mignolet, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Johnson, Henderson, Gerrard, Cissokho, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Agger, Alberto, Allen, Sterling, Kelly, Flanagan.
Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands)
Back from dropping Melanie off and ready for the return of the Prem/
Excellent idea. I was going to , but was in the bog then took Melanie to the bus. At least I didn't miss a goal while in the bog.
Blackpool is one up vs Wigan in the first half.
Debuchy straight at Mignolet.
Suarez wins a corner off of Gouffrran. The corner is headed away by the first man
How are you, mate?
I am doing well. Went to bed early after being tired from a long week. How are you?
Sturridge scuffs his shot there.
Hibs are one up vs Celtic in the first half.
Had an amazing day yesterday with Kate, so I'm glowing.
I am really delighted for you. Long may it continue.
Krul luck for Sturridge as the ball is thumped into the stands by the Big Toon keeper.
Thanks, mate. I hope I won't be too distracted this morning. But it's obviously on my mind.
I had to wake up at 5:30 yesterday to drop off Melanie for tennis . She's in the semis in doubles, so she's at it again today.
Wow - good luck to Melanie!
It's completely understandable if you are. I wore the Fred Town t-shirt when I took Melanie to the bus as a show of support. I hope that helps.
Not much going on in this match yet.
Lovely jubbly - thanks for the support for the Blue Devils.
Cheers Bob. They won two matches due to forfeits, but I told Melanie that it' still a tremendous achievement.
Any time. I was going to wear the red Cortland short, but forgot it . Oh Yah, I didn't get one. HEE HEE!
A series of Liverpool corner that have come to nothing.
More of the same.
A corner is headed across and Skrtel with free header heads over.
GOAL !!! CABAYE GIVES THE TOON THE LEAD.
GOAL! Cabaye pops in the opener for Newcastle.
Morning boys
I am downstairs after watching the beginning of the match in bed
NEWCASTLE SCORE!!!
It was really a goal out of the blue as a speculative long range effort took a slight nick and it was enough to put the ball in the corner out of the reach of Mignolet.
Good morning UWS. How was your week? Quite a goal.
So, you guys are all chatting up Fredonia and downing C-State!!
What was the score last week??
What was that comment about Kate? Who is she?
When did you get back from Saratoga... and your horse it naturally won
Fair enough, UWS. I wish you had brought over a red C State shirt so I could have alternated with the Fred Town shirt.
I once won a bet on a horse at Newmarket on a field trip with Madame Thompson. My mum thought I stole the money.
Bob told me about Kate , but I will let him talk about that. It's his news.
Morning, UWS - how are you, mate?
Kate is a colleague that I've started dating recently. Had a day out yesterday at Letchworth State Park and then lovely dinner at a resort town called Ellicottville.
Did you hear the news out of Blighty that Januzaj has signed a five year contract with United.
Sounds like a lovely day. I am pulling for you mate.
Was this the same woman you went on a 'date' with before that you said was discouraging
I did not. Lovely Jubbly.
There must be a goal coming... I have to go to the loo
Probably so. Good luck mate.
Yeah - there was some miscommunication after a dinner we had a few weeks back. A lot of water under the bridge since then. Things are progressing nicely now.
OH! UWS nearly missed a goal as he tried a similar long range effort that went just over.
Great pick up for you, that Janu.
Keep up the good work, Bob.
He was in the quad last year, but definitely looks to be natural replacement for Scholes.
Oh - great save there, Mignolet!
Great save by Mignolet from Sissoko.
My brother's birthday is today and he is a Liverpool fan. It's not going to plan for him.
Got back from Saratoga late Thursday night. The whole week has been chocka. Not a moment to breathe before this morning.
Hibs lead Celtic 1-0 at the half.
Definitely not going to plan for the Reds. Call your bruvver!
What's happening now! It's a red card for someone for that challenge on Suarez!
Oh - Suarez went down really cheaply there. M'biwa is off! Toon down to Ten!
Looks like a penalty to Liverpool as Yanga-Mbiwa is sent off or pulling down Suarez in the box. Seems harsh as Suarez went down rather easily.
Gerrard to step up and take the pen for his ton for Liverpool. What drama!
A change of plans for bruv? UWS to miss a goal on the bog?
Easy peasy lemon squeezy for Gerrard into the left corner. Pool back in business.
1-1!
GOAL !!!! 1-1 AS STEVIE G EASILY DISPATCHES THE PENALTY
Damn.... I come out of the loo and Stevie G nets a pen
Was it a pen?
There was a Red!
Yes.Yanga-Mbiwa was sent off for a tug on Suarez in the box, but Suarez went down rather easily.
You missed yet another goal while in the bog?
Stevie G blasts over
Liverpool are back on top again with that pen by Gerrard.
Dummett on for Sissoko, the scorer. Two minutes of stoppage time.
My bruv is a happy chappy.
Into stoppage time now.
I'm about ready to jump into the shower. Won't miss any goals now.
Stevie G booked for a foul on Cabaye amidst sarcastic cheers from Toon fans.
HT
off to shower and shave
Matt has big game tonight under the lights for his last regular season game in Schenectady
Halftime and 1-1 from SJP. Advantage Pool as the Reds are a man up thanks to a soft penalty decision.
The second half is underway from SJP.
Krul pushes away a shot from Johnson for a corner. Suarez flubs a shot to the delight of the Toon Army.
Cynical block by Stevie G on Remy and ta could have been a second yellow. Toon fans none too pleased.
Good luck to Matt and co. in their match today.
Welcome back, Bob. You didn't miss much other than Stevie G was lucky not to get a second yellow.
I second that. Wishing Matt and his team the best.
GOAL! Dummett arrives at the back stick to poke in a second goal for Newcastle!
GOAL !!!! 2-1 TOON AS DUMMETT SCORES WITH A VOLLEY AT THE FAR POST OFF A FREE KICK FROM CABAYE.
Liverpool were caught napping at the set piece. Simple ball in from Cabaye and it evaded all of the Pool defenders and Dummett had a simple side foot volley to convert.
2-1 Newcastle!
Liverpool may be a man up , but the Toon are a goal up as Dummett scores his first ever Prem goal.
Pool drop to second again.
GOAL
Newcastle retake the lead!!
I had a change of plans. I went for a walk with Shadow instead of showering
For the third time this game, the moment I walk in the room, the ball hit the net!!
Perfectly stated, Bob.
I want this score to stay the same... I am not leaving the room!!
Sorry, UWS. Also, I want to wish Matt and his team the best today.
I second that, UWS. Definitely stay put.
No bog trips for UWS now.
The only attacking weapon that Pool seem to have today is Luis Suarez's diving ability.
Not looking like a happy start to me bruv's birthday.
Agreed, Bob. Sturridge is very quiet today, which does not help me in the PPP.
i'm here for the long haul
I do want to go get a new cup of coffee. It is sort of in the same room. The TV will still be in eyeshot

Jordan Henderson with a long range effort high and wide. Toon fans will be pleased as he is a former Black Cat.
Luis Alberto on for Sacko.
Yeah - but that coffee is going to run right through you. Resist the temptation, mate.
I just noticed yesterday that since all my channels line up change, I know have NBC Sports Extra channels. All the other games are being shown on my TV
Time Warner still won't let me watch it on my phone
A new cup of coffee may result in an extra trip to the bog. You may want to wait until after the match. Just a suggestion.
Time Warner sound like a bunch of wankers. Congrats on getting the NBC Sports Extra Channels.
I am back for filling up... no goal
We survived!
Aren't Newcastle up ton FIFTH!!!
No - Newcastle are in 7th. We've also got bloody Soton in 5th. That's playing havoc with the PPP.
They are in seventh, behind Citeh and SPurs on gd.
I thought I heard on the radio that if scores went right, they would be fifth
United need to defeat the Saints at OT today. Not an easy fixture with the way United have been playing.
Decent corner but Moses couldn't keep his header down.
My computer is acting up
Hardly any websites apart from this one is opening!!
Nope . In seventh. That should change after the remaining matches this weekend.
I'm looking at it right now - Citeh are on 14 points. Spurs and Newcastle on 13.
Great tackle by Tiote, but dreadful finish. Typical of why he rarely ever scores.
Useless effort by the Toon there... they had a three on two
Toure booked for a shove on Remy
When is Matt's game. Wishing him and his team the best today.
I can't open BBC, Soccernet and the FR link for SS isn't opening... very frustrating
Goal
S and S tie it up
GOAL !!! DESMOND AT SJP
GOAL! MUR is a happy chappy as Sturridge pops in his 8th goal of the season!
Moses started it too... dangerous top three
Great cross by Suarez ad my GBB heads in from the six yard box.
I promise.. I didn't leave the room
No Championship action on BEin today. Disappointing.
OH! Nearly a second from Sturridge off a cross from Alberto, but he was called offside.
Agreed, Bob. I don't think the Leeds match I being televised either.
Suarez with a bullet hits the crossbar
Liverpool going to win this easily
OH! Off the top of the bar from Suarez.
Suddenly the New SAS partnership is full of life.
I am going to restart my computer.
I'll be back soon
I will be around to support our Bob tomorrow fro the early match at ER. I hope I can get a link for that.
Blackpool have defeated Wigan 1-0 while Celtic have tied it up at Hibs. About to enter stoppage time in that one.
Sammy Ameobi on for Ben Arfa and Anita on for Cabaye.
Im back
I'm hoping for a link too. Disappointed that BEIn isn't showing that one.
Welcome back, UWS. I agree Bob, but you can count me in for that early one.
Henderson shoots over after a corner from Luis Alberto was headed away.
Set pieces haven't been their problem.. Pool haven't scored from one
Sterling on for Johnson.
It has finished Hibs 1 Celtic 1
Sturridge booked for supposed foul on Gouffran
Oh - Sturridge could have won it there. Didn't get the volley right.
Great cross from Stevie G and Sturridge should have tucked it away.
Still time for my GBB to score.
Now Debuchy goes in the book.
Another corner for Pool - they've looked dangerous from these. Krul punches out.
The Toon could have won it there with a break
Great counter by the Toon through Remy. He should have passed to Anita, who made a great run, but was tackled instead.
Bloody Hell.. this is the only website working for me!!!
Will there be a dramatic late winner?
A break for Pool lead by Sturridge and his cross was headed out for a corner.Head tennis off the corner from Suarez. Four minutes of stoppage time.
Corner for the Toon into injury time
The Toon break and win a late corner.
They take it short. Now they cough it up.
Blasted over by Luis Alberto. About a minute remaining.,
Next for the Toon is the Tyne -Wear Derby.
Suarez goes down easily and acts like an idiot about it.
PArdew amused too.
Suarez wins a free kick ion the sixth minute of stoppage time. Why the extra time?
Suarez wins a free kick for Pool... STUPID challenge!
ROW Q please
One late chance now for Pool to snatch this one.
Last kick of the game..... saved!!!
THat's it!
Oh - great save by Krul to keep Newcastle alive!
Great save by Krul from the Suarez free kick and it finishes Desmond at SJP.
The Reds top for he time being, but surely the Gunners will get three points vs the Canaries
Back from a shower and shave

Welcome back, UWS. A must win match for United.
They're off from OT.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
When does Matt's match begin?
And the Saints start on the front foot. Wake up United!
Back for the big one now - hoping that United can poke some holes in this Saints form.
Shaky start by United... WHY!!!
I do have all the other matches in the 400s of TV... lovely bubbly
Still can't get the BBC or First Row
Do you guys have a link for SS?
Send it to me
Jan fouled by Nat Clyne. Early chance for United.
Breakfast just put on the table
I'll be back
Blackpool have beaten ten man Wigan in the early kickoff in the Championship. That moves Blackpool up to 4th.
Pathetic free kick from Roon easily cleared.
I wonder why Rickie Lambert is on the bench? That's one less headache for United.
'Cos he's old and crap?
A decent chance for Jay Rodriguez as he headed wide with a free header.
Charlton take the lead at Blackburn
Sotton making the most chances!
Wonder why the Saints are wearing white shorts to match United's
Naughty behavior, Bob. I think it's the Saints defensive system. I don't think they are starting with a striker.
United could lose their second home in a row in the league... first time since 2002 losing to the Arse and Boro
Everton take the lead vs Hull City
I sure hope not, but it's not looking very promising early doors.
WOW!
Cardiff City take the lad at SB.
Overlap by Evra almost sets up RVP then Nani does the same
Better
I was wondering about the shorts issue too. These rules don't make any sense any more. Everton v. Citeh both wearing blue? Teams wearing change strips even when they don't clash. I don't get it.
uh oh.. that was Tony's pick1
RVP straight a Boruc with his weaker right foot.
Derby County take the lead at Watford.
Mutch will the goal for Cardiff.
I still can't get any other pages open on the computer!!!
It makes no sense!
The Foxes take the lead vs the Terriers. Reading take the lead vs Donny.
I am on soccernet in case you are interested.
Not Mutch of a start for Chelsea.
Do any of you have the link for SS
Can you open the BBC website
Do any of you have the link for SS
Can you open the BBC website
Uws will be pleased that Pompey have taken the lead vs Bury, but not Bob as the Blades have taken the lead vs Port Vale.
I am checking.
