Cheer Up, Lads - It's Saturday!
I'm up early again to follow a full slate of tasty Premiership and Championship fixtures this morning, starting with the police scheduled Yorkshire Derby between Hudders and Leeds. That's followed soon after by Arsenal's visit to lowly Palace who've just sacked Ian Holloway. Then it's time to drop in on the soap opera at United who have Stoke as visitors today at Old Trafford. Finally the late one is Soton v. Fulham. Join me, won't you?

First up, the team news out of Hudders:
United: Kenny, Lees, Wootton, Pearce, Byram, Warnock, Austin, Mowatt, Murphy, McCormack, Smith. Subs. Cairns, Peltier, Brown, Tonge, Varney, Blackstock, Poleon.
Town: Smithies, Dixon, Lynch, Clarke, Richards, Hogg, Southern, Ward, Holmes, Hammill, Stead. Subs. Bennett, Woods, Norwood, Scannell, Gobern, Wallace, Carr.
Referee: N Swarbrick
Good morning Bob. I heard that Tony Pubis will take over at Palace. I'm not sure if there's a link for the west Yorkshire in Western New York.
Wahay - kickoff time at Hudders - come on, you Whites! MOT!
Morning, MUR - great to have you on board and to hear that you're back in business with your Internet and telly. No link for the big Yorkshire Derby (sigh)...
Right you are - Tony Pubis will be taking Palace down to the Championship again this season.
BEIN is showing an informercial called "I Hate My Hair." Your thoughts ?
Wahay - Barnsley have taken the lead against Not a Big Club - goal through Morten Gamst Pederson.
Ta, Bob. Great to be on board. I wonder why Barnsley vs Not a Big Club, the other police match, is being televised instead.
Not happy with that at all - may have to dump BEin.
Great news. Looks like Not a Big Club will be joining Yeovil in League One.
I don't think that informercial will be very helpful.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big Matt Smith with the opener for us!
0-1!
WAY HAY! THE WHITES HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD AT HUDDERSFIELD!
That's three goals in two matches now for Big Matt.
Leeds now up to eighth place while Barnsley have moved out of the drop zone and are replaced by Bolton .
A great signing, who scored twice for Oldham against Everton in the FA Cup last season.
I will be out for part of the first half of the Prem match because I will need to take Jacquelyn to the school because she has a choir competition today
Teams in the tunnel now at Selhurst Park. Looking forward to seeing the Gunners rattle in a few goals this morning.
Palace fans in full voice. They really deserve better
BUGGER!!! IT'S TIUED UP AT HUDDERSFIELD .
SORRY BOB.
Daniel Ward with the Huddersfield goal.
Your bruv and dad must be licking their chops this morning.
I don't recognize Palace's caretaker manager.
They're off from Selhurst park.
A fifteen mile trip for Arsenal. It should be worth it. Jacquelyn to travel a similar distance on a school bus in about half an hour.
Bugger! Hudders back on level terms. Danny Ward with the equalizer.
Sorry about that Bob.
The Gunners looking like Barca and Giroud heads just over from a cross by Sagna.
What a difference an Ozil makes, eh?
The announcer said that Sagna is hobbling around and may need to be subbed.
He and Flamini have been the main reason why they are in first place
Segre Gnarby , the young German, on for the injured Flamini. A huge loss for the Gunners
Bad news for the Arsenal - Flamini is hobbling off to be replaced by the youngster Gnabry.
This stat says it all. Arsenal have completed 100 passes to Palace's 17.
An unusually stray pass by Ozil as the Gunners are on track to complete 1200 passes, triple the average in a La Liga match
Palace living dangerously as Damian Delaney may have handled in the box and now Palace in the Gunners half the first time this match. Barry Bloody Bannon heads just over.
I'm off to take Jacquelyn to the bus. I will be back soon.
Cheerio, mate!
I'm back . It doesn't appear that I missed much.
Not a sausage, mate.
Arsenal are starting to let Palace believe here.
Just out for a lengthy trip in the bog and Barry Bloody Bannon volleys wide.
I didn't miss anything while in the bog.
The second half has kicked off from Oakwell and Barnsley still lead 1-0.
Carzola shoots wide from a narrow angle.
Gooner and your dad must be really frustrated.
Halftime and 1-1 at Huddersfield.
Delaney has a shot come off of Ramsey for a corner off a free kick/
Sussuhseudio misses a corner from Bloody Bannon and Dicagacoi heads wide.
Speroni blocks a shot from Ramsey and Palace clear.
This match is starting to resemble those kickabouts that we used to have at the Dosedels where we put out an old fireplace piece and blasted shots at it.
Guediora with a wild effort from near the halfway line and nowhere close to the target.
Easily a free kick but nearly a penalty there as Gnabry went down.
Correct Bob, but Palace have had their moments. We had similar kicabouts at the field by our house.
Chamakh doing his level best to bite the hand that used to feed him.
I think Chamakh is on loan from Arsenal. Why is he being allowed to play in this match as he misses a great cross from Jedinak?
Was Chamakh signed from Arsenal or is he on loan?
I think he was on loan last season and then bought him in the summer.
Giroud volleys into the ground and straght to Speroni off a great pass from Ozil.
Thanks Bob. Then he is allowed to play in this match. I din't see him in the playoffs though.
A minute of stoppage time.
Halftime and 0-0 at Selhurst park. They won't be pleased in Alex.
The Eagle looks pleased.
Not a Big Club have tied it up at Barnsley thanks to a goal by Matty Fryatt.
The second half has kicked off and Gnarby has won a penalty.
GOAL !!! ARTETA GIVES ARSEBAL THE LEAD FROM THE SPOT.
A perfectly placed penalty and Palace have been undone thanks to a rash challenge by Guediora on Gnarby in the box seconds after the second half kickoff.
That should provide some relief in Alex as the garage sale shoppers were about to catch the brunt of it.
I'm back from washing the dishes and I see that I've missed Arsenal's opener.
Nearly a second as it was a cheeky back heel by Ozil and a last ditch tackle from Delaney nearly went off of Gnarby for a second goal.
Gnabry is full of life today. He goes close with another effort. It might have actually benefited Arsene that he had to replace the more defensive Flamini.
Geudiora wins a free kick off of Gibbs on a Palace break.
Welcome back Bob. It was a penalty seconds after the second half kickoff thanks to a rash challenge on Gnarby.
BUGGER !!! HUDDERSFIELD LEAD 2-1
SORRY BOB.
It was a Tom Lees OG. Sorry mate.
Bloody hell - Hudders have scored a second goal!
Moxey crosses straight to Seudio after a couple of one twos with Guediora on the break.
Carzola is fouled by Jedinak
Jerome Thomas is off against his former club and is replaced by Bolassie.
The free kick from Ozil is easily headed away by Ward.
Barry Bloody Bannon concedes possession, but Jedinak recovers to tackle Giroud on the break.
WAY HAY!
DESMOND AT HUDDERSFIELD.
Dexter Blacstock with the Leeds goal. When did he come to ER? I thought he was at Forest. Another loan signing?
Ward heads out for an Arsenal corner.
Chamakh fouled by Arteta on the counter and the Spaniard is sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
BLOODY HELL! Huddersfield now lead 3-2,
Arteta is off!!!!
Arsenal down to ten men and Palace have a chance!
Jon Stead with the Huddersfield goal.
First time I've heard that Dexter is with us - must have been an emergency loan signing. Come on, you Whites - get that third one back!
What was Arteta thinking fifty yards from goal? I thought it was harsh that far out , but surely there would have been some defenders that would have back tracked. Not the best decision from Arteta.
It will be interesting to see how the Gunners fare a man down.
Great tackle, run and pass by Ozil on the counter, but a poor pass from Giroud.
Guediora down with cramp and Jimmy Kebe to come on in his place.
The waning moments at Hudders - come on, you Whites!
The Nacho on for Carzola, who doesn't look pleased about being subbed.
It fished 1-1 between Barnsley and Not a Big Club in the South Yorkie Derby. That result didn't really help either side,.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
IT'S LEEDS TIME.
OH! Superb save by Seudio off a volley from jedinak after he punched away the corner. Seudio bobbles the next corner then gather it.
Nail biting time in Alex as the Gunners hold on in what should have been a routine victory.
Looks as if the caretaker manager changed half of Palace's starting lineup. It seems to be the correct decision.
Dwight Gayle on for Bloody Bannon as it's another striker for Palace.
Monreal shows his Nachos as he goes on a great solo run, but his shot is blocked.
Unusually poor pass from Ozil as that was a chance for a second.
Young Jack came on for Gnabry as the sub was subbed. No substitutions remaining for either side,.
Huddersfield hold on to defeat Leeds 3-2. Sorry Bob.
Sorry, mate - I've really been struggling with my Internet connection this morning. Super slow and frustrating. You know how that is.
Sorry to hear that. we are supposed to be getting higher speed Internet today. We will see.
Another bitter loss for us. Looked so good at first too. Bad one against a local rival.
GOAL !!! THIS ONE IS DONE AND DUSTED AS GIROUD PUTS THE TEN MAN GUNNERS TWO UP.
Easy Peasy as Ramsey got behind the Palace defense and Giroud headed home, Unmarked the six yard box.
Dicagacoi has a shot blocked for a corner.
the corner from Bolassie is cleared.
Four minutes of stoppage time.
Sorry about the loss. It must be really disappointing. I hope things improve with your Internet.
Arsenal will remain top of the table to the delight of Gooners.
It's over and Arsenal hang to win by two at Palace, but it was anything but smooth sailing.
Hey Boys
Sorry I have been a miss this morning. Looks like the Arse have wrapped up the expected three points.
I am not around much at all. I have to go to the old house to move out everything. It looks like we are closing on the house on Wednesday so everything has to go.
This afternoon, I have to go up to Saratoga for tonight's playoff game for Matt.
Tomorrow, we are off to see Tom play Ithaca on his 21st birthday.
BLOODY HELL! Back from running a quick errand United are down to bloody Stoke at OT
Ruddy Norah! I'm just back from the shower to see Crouchie poke home an opener for Stoke at OT.
0-1!
Welcome, UWS!
The goal was scored about fifty seconds before I got in. Superb save by De Gea from a Volley by Crouch who scored the rebound , sitting on his bum.
Hello UWS.I wonder if UWS is following the game on his iphone
Further misery for UWS as Fawlty Towers take the lead vs Pompey.
Reading take the lead vs Millwall.
Yeovil take the lead vs Forest
Reading are 1-0 up over Evil Millwall through a Morrison goal.
Liverpool take the lead vs West Brom and are now in second place.
Nani's had a horror show so far today and now he's clutching his ankle.
RVP well offside from a pass by Roon.
Suarez has fired Liverpool ahead against the Baggies.
Agreed. I wonder he makes our starting lineup.
Oh - well Crouch was near to a brace there from the knock-down by Walters. Good chance!
Nearly a second for Stoke as Walters headed down a cross from Amoutovic and Crouch shot inches over.
I think it was the Amautovic- Crouch combo that gave Stoke the lead. Smalling exposed yet again.
Blackpool take the lead vs Blackburn.
Bradford City take the lead vs Wolves as united win a corner.
Liverpool are second, only two points behind Arsenal now.
Poor corner from Roon, but it broke to Evans who sliced a shot and Stoke cleared
Liverpool now two up.
Leeds have dropped back to 11th and may well be in the bottom half in an hour.
Suarez again - he's rapidly catching up with his strike partner Danny Sturridge.
THE Foxes take the lead vs the Cherries and Brentford take the lead vs the Shrews.
COME ON DANNY .
Back from the bog and like United's performance ,w as taking a piss.
Leicester City are 1-0 up at the Crisps.
Roon wide with a long range effort.
Blackburn tie it up at Blackpool.
Decent move there from United but Kagawa was offside.
The Blades take the lead vs Crewe.
It seems to be that this United side is full of players who are out of form - Nani, Cleverly, Kagawa. Moyesy is dicing with death with this side.
Briliant save by DE Gea from Walters as that could have been a second from Stoke.
HE sure is. Other than the wretched Hair Bear, this is basically the team that ran away with the PRem. How is this side so out of form?
Orient take the lead vs Rotherham
Oh dear - another poor effort from Nani and the natives are getting restless at OT.
Poor long range effort from Nani.
I don't know, MUR. The gossip out of the United camp this week was that Moyes has already fallen out with RVP. That can't be good.
SAF not looking pleased.
I would think Moyes is on borrowed time. He must be a couple of losses away from the sack.
Great save by De Gea from Amutovic as he is keeping United in this match. Now a great tip over by Begovic from Roon.
OH - Rooney is trying to drag this team back on his own. Great effort!
Poor corner from Roon headed away by the first man.
That was Begovic's first save of the match. as Evra wins a United corner.
Extraordinary really. I thought he'd get a season or two at least to bed in. There was always going to be a transition period. Even Fergie understands that.
Begovic punches away a corner from Roon.Poor cross from Roon and a United foul is called.
Smalling has had a mare and should be subbed sooner rather than later,
I was thinking the same, but I was expecting United to be a mid table out of form side. I would have taken third or fourth place during the transition period, but nothing this poor.
Why are United playing at such a pedestrian pace. They seem to be uninterested.
I agree with the color guy - Kagawa is no better than merely "tidy." Where is the young kid Janu today?
Amautovic wins a corner off of Jones from a pass by Walters.
Smalling fouled by Huth on the corner.
I agree. Jan was rested for the CL match so why not play him today.
Huth heads out for a United corner.
The corner from RVP is headed out by Crouch then a great tackle by Walters on Jones.
Great block by Jones on Crouch then Amoutovic curls a shot high and wide.
Derby take the lead vs Brum.
Blackpool take a 2-1 lead vs Blackburn while Bournemouth tie it up at The Crisps.
Poor free kick by RVP easily cleared by Peeters.
GOAL! RVP pulls it back for United!
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
1-1 AS RVP SOCRES OFF A CROSS FROM NANI THAT WAS HEADED DOWN BY ROON. SCORED ON THE BREAK.
Yeovil two up vs Stoke.
The cross came in and Roon met it powerfully on the header. Begovic could only just parry to RVP who volleyed home. Great time to score.
1-1!
Sorry . Yeovil two up vs Forest
Poor foul by Jones on Amautovic.
BLOODY HELL! AMAUATOVIC SCORES OFF THE FREE KICK THAT DE GEA JUST FAILED TO KEEP OUT.
Bloody hell! Phil Jones gives away a cheap one and they've been made to pay for it.
1-2 Stoke!
Forest score at Yeovil as they trail 2-1. One minute of stoppage time at OT
Yes - great free kick by Amautovic but that should never have happened. Never seen such sloppy defending from a United side.
Yeovil now lead Forest 3-1 . The free kickfrom Roon is headed out for a corner as there is a fracar in the box.
agreed Bob. Poor from United.
Pathetic corner from Nani and the halftime whistle blows before Nani can get in a return cross. Stoke deservedly ahead and could have been by much more.
Half time arrives at OT and the boos ring out around the ground. Moyes is not pleased. RVP is involved in some argybargy as the teams troop off.
the second half is underway from OT
Shawcross was booked for a push on RVP as the players were walking into the tunnel during the halftime break.
NO MORE SHITE, UNITED.
COME ON NANI. He's acting like he's going for a stroll instead of taking a player on.
Arnautovic, who was Stoke's best player , goes off injured and is replaced by Marc Wilson. A huge loss for the Potters.,
Great pass from evra to Roon who has a shot blocked by SHawcross for a corner. The corner from Roon is headed away
Useless pass from Carrick.
Stoke last won at OT in 1976.
Ashley Young and Valencia warming up. Talk about going from bad to worse. At least Jan is warming up.
Palacios fouls Cleverley just outside the box.
Looks like Moyes has had enough and wonderboy Janu is about to make his entrance.
