Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The first Premiership match on NBC Sports this morning is Hull v. Chelski.
This will give us a chance to test out the current form of Fatty Huddlestone who's had a calls for his inclusion in the England squad for Brazil.
Kick off! MOT!
Leeds manager Brian McDermott handed debuts to both Cameron Stewart and Jimmy Kebe for the lunchtime kick off at Sheffield Wednesday. Both players arrived during the week building up to the Yorkshire derby and both went straight into the starting line-up.
There was also recalls for Tom Lees, Lee Peltier and Alex Mowatt following the FA Cup third round shock we suffered a week earlier.
Got a tasty link up and running for the Yorkshire Derby now.
We've got a free kick chance now - come on!
Good morning and a very Happy Birthday. Is this match on BEIN?
Morning, MUR! No - the suits at BEin obviously don't care about my birthday. I've got a link up.
Some good pressure from the Whites now.
Oh - Not a Big Club break quickly and Loovens fizzes a shot just by Kenny's post.
BUGGGGGGERRRRRR - someone hasn't read the script yet this morning.
Not a big club score first. 1-0
BUGGER!!! REDA JOHNSON GIVES NOT A BIG CLUB THE LEAD! HOW WAS HE GIVEN SO MUCH SPACE?
Sorry Bob. He scored just as link 3 loaded.
READ THE SCRIPT LUFC!
another SET PIECE FOR THE BAD GUYS. Fortunately, it was miles over.
I am surprised to see so many empty seats for this derby match.
Teams out of the tunnel at the KC.
Good Morning boys and Happy Birthday mate
Sorry about the score
They're off from the KC.
COME ON YOU TIGERS!
Good morning UWS.
They're off at the KC or whatever it is called these days
Torres wins a Chelsea corner.
Paddy Kenny does well to push away a long range effort from Maguire.
el Mohammedy straight at Cech from about twenty five yards out.
The sound is really off !
NBC better sort this out!!
Mowatt has a shot blocked after a great run by Tom Lees.
I have a link for the Leeds match if you are interested.
I'm back with a yummy breakfast - it may not improve Leeds' prospects but at least I'll be happy.
Sorry mate. Hoping Leeds tie it up soon.
Comfortable save by Paddy Kenny from Connor Whickham off a solo run.
Paddy Kenny had to rush out to clear off a poor back pass.
Lovrens deservedly booked for a nasty foul on Ross
Great set piece opportunity for Leeds.
Zaluskas flagged offside off the free kick from debut boy, Cameron Stewart
Hazard down injured due to a collision.
Bloody hell - it's 2-0! Sigh.....
That's two goals now where the defense completely broke down and Paddy Kenny was exposed.
BLOODY HELL! THE BAD GUYS GO TWO UP ON THE STROKE OF HALFTIME. NUHIU SCORES A CLOSE RANGE TAP IN OFF A RUN DOWN THE LEFT AND PASS FROM KIERAN LEE. TOO EASY.
Sorry mate
Not a happy birthday camper - although my breakfast was excellent!
So sorry Bob. This was definitely not in the script. Two poor goals to concede.
Glad the breakfast was great. what did you have?
Brian will need to make some changes. Leeds have not had a shot on goal.
PHEW! Kieran Lee put Liam Palmer through and found the side netting with just Paddy Kenny to beat. Not a Big Club two up at the half.
Half time at Hillsborough - 2-0 Not a Big Club sigh.
Don't Leeds know about the birthday present requested!!!!
How bloody boring are Chelski - unbelievable!
Decent effort by Hull from a distance…saved by Cech
Cech does well to push around a long range effort from Livermore.
I agree, UWS - this is shocking!
Brucey's son heads over from the corner.
His dad would have scored that.. .ala Sheffield Wednesday!
Morning, UWS - thanks for posting the birthday thread. Was that a picture from my fall 2008 visit to Scotia?
The Daily Mail says that RVP could be out for six more weeks!!
You're welcome
Yes it was, it was two houses ago!!!
Bloody Norah - what's wrong with him?
BUGGER! we could use RVP.
Bloody hell.. that should have been one nil Hull
Oh - shame that Sagbo couldn't compose himself. That shows you Hull's scoring problem.
Decent chance for the Tigers as JT gifted possession and Sagbo shot wide with just Cech to beat
Another thigh injury… no one else is reporting it so..
I second that. Great birthday post, UWS. Well done.
Based on what I saw, Brian should make some changes in midfield because that is where Leeds was losing the battle. They could use big Matt Smith as well.
Any plans for your birthday afternoon and evening?
Hope it's a big day for the half ton. I believe UWS is next for that significant milestone.
Naughty by George Boyd on Azpi.
Well, Kathy gets there on February 13. I follow on July 7th
Yeah - Kate and I are driving up to the Finger Lakes and spending a couple of nights in the Bristol Harbour resort in Canandaigua. Should be cozy. :-)
McGregor misjudges the cross off the free kick and fortunately it runs out of play.
Charlton and Barnsley is off today
Yeah - the half century. No biggie. Piece of piss.
Well done, Bob. Sounds like a great way to spend a big birthday.
Sounds great
I've been to Canandagua
I guess no Bob on LOB for the next few days!!!
Superb save from McGregor off a shot from OScar off a great run and pass from Hazard
When do you leave?
Possibly not - although they do have wireless. ;-)
We better not here from you!!!
This afternoon - have dinner reservations at 7pm.
I think it takes about 2 and half hours on the Thruway.
WAY HAY! Matt Smith on for Tom Lees. Did you guys see that I called for Big Matt to come on a few minutes ago?
Of course, these are the reverse fixtures of the opening games of the season
Second half underway
We're back on at Hillsborough. Come on, you Whites!
BLOODY HELL! MATT Smith sent off just a minute after coming on.
It was a cheap shot on Reda Johnsonand I guess Lee Probert had no other option.
Ross has looked really out of sorts today. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost him this January transfer period.
It will be tough for Leeds, already two goals down and now a man down.
Ridiculous from Smithy - went in with his elbow. That doesnae help matters at all.
I am not far behind . Less than two years away from the half ton. I agree that it is just a number. Not really bothered about it.
We could really get tonked now.
BLOODY HELL! CONNOR WICKHAM PUTS NOT A BIG CLUB THREE UP.
Bloody hell - Kenny beaten at his near post! 3-0!
Paddy Kenny beaten too easily at the near post. This one is done and dusted. Sorry Bob.
Told you so!
Sorry mate
Paddy Kenny beaten too easily at the near post. This one is done and dusted. Sorry Bob.
Pathetic free kick from Fatty . Far too much weight in that free kick.
Do we want to see free kicks like that one from Fatty in Brazil next summer? I think not!
Jason Pearce booked for Leeds and Chris Maguire for Not a Big Club.
Leeds have really struggled after they were so high in the table
At least you will have a few days to forget about this. Hope the get away is much better.
That was a good challenge… what are Chelsea complaining about!!
I am starting to really hate the modern day players!
Free kick to Chelsea . Sideshow to take?
Decent strike from David Luiz but McGregor tips it over.
Mcgregor does well to tip over the free kick from Side Show. The corner from Willian is headed awau
A minute of stoppage time.
My internet is really bugging me today
Well, it has been pathetic since we moved into this house but worse today
Agreed, UWS. The diving and poor sportsmanship needs to be stamped out. Never a free kick
Chelsea not too impressive but they will surely nip a goal or two in the second half and win it
Halftime and 0-0 from the KC. Good first half performance from the Tigers.
I sure hope not, but that has been the pattern from the Blues in recent matches.
The new house is a jinx?
Did you hear "The Beast" on FiveLive last night
There are four teams in the Prem Era to play in Europe the season after being relegated, name them
Very few people actually got all four
Well over by Connor wickham off a pass from Kieran Lee.
Yes it is… maybe for United too!!
I know of Ipswich, Brum , and Wigan. I need to think of the fourth.
Sorry to hear that. A ghost or poltergeist? Get Dan Akroyd or Bill Murray with their ghost buster machine!
UWS ain't afraid of no ghosts!
This will be our fourth loss on the trot. Time to stop the rot, Brian!
Rudy Austin concedes a free kick about thirty yards from his goal. Lavery on for Nuhiu. Sam Byram on for Jimmy Kebe.
4-0 - that's enough. I'm off for a shower. I've seen it all.
DAMN IT! CHRIS MAGUIE SCROES WITH A DEFLECTED FREE KICK TO PUT NOT A BIG CLUB FOUR UP.
Sorry mate. I know this was definitely not in the plans. Time to get ready for the trip.
What kind of bloody wall was that? I've seen better construction on a building site.
BOOM BOOM !
I've Built better walls with legos!
I'll bet you have, mate!
Definitely NOT Hadrian's Wall nor the Great Wall of China!
Ironic cheers as Rudy Austin has a soft long range effort straight at Chris Kirkland.
THat was their first shot on target today.
second half underway at the KC.
Jermaine Johnson on for Jacques Magfhoma. Sideways shot from Side Show.
You got three right.
You're missing the one that people couldn't get
Hazard has a shot deflected for a corner.
Curtis Davies heads out for another Chelsea corner.
Ramires heads over as Joe Mou seems to have had another effective halftime chat.
I will need to put on me thinking cap for that fourth team.
Brucey's son fouls Hazard just outside the box.
McGregor does well to push away a swerving free kick from David Lewis
WHy did they qualify??
BLOODY HELL !! LAVERY PUTS NOT A BIG CLUB FIVE UP ON THE BREAK. ZALIUSKAS POORLY LOST THE BALL IN MIDFIELD AND LAVERY EASILY SCORED PAST PADDY KENNY.
Wigan FA Cup
Brum League Cup
Ipswich Fair Play
Bob may be better off in the shower, getting ready for the big trip.
I called it
Chelsea score
GOAL !!! HAZARD GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD WITH A NICE TURN AND FINISH.
GOAL! Hazard finds his way to a shooting opportunity and fires home from inside the D.
0-1 Chelski!
I was trying to go give you clue
We're as bad as West Ham!
You sure did , Nostradavidus.
Did Blackpool qualify by the Fair Play rule?
Five nil!
Ruddy norah!!
Fatty trips Ramires inches outside the box.
The answer is Crystal Palace!!
Really? I would have never guessed it no matter how long I tried. When and how? It had to be Fair play.
Fair Play
1998 Intertoto Cup
Ta, UWS. was it Intertoto or Fair Play? You listed both.
Ross blasts over four minutes into stoppage time.
Cahill booked for intentional hand ball near the Hull box. Just over by Connor wickham
The Free kick from Fatty was high and wide.
6-0 NOT A BIG CLUB AS LAVERY HAS HIS SECOND OFF THE BENCH AND ANOTHER ERROR BY ZALIUSKAS.
Bloody hell - I've just come back from my shower to see another goal fly in.
What the hell score is it now - oh, 6-0. Bloody hell!
If Brian doesn't watch out, he's gonna get the sack. That is just unacceptable, especially in a local derby.
It's over and Not a Big club records their best ever win vs Leeds on this day of all days as Leeds were hit for half a dozen. I am really sorry Bob.
Agreed, Bob. I am sorry this happened on the day of your half ton. Hope the rest of the day is better.
Well, that was not at all the birthday present I wanted.
I sure hope the late match goes a lot better .
I guess we blew it by using a lot of cricket references… then Leeds get hit for six!
That is true, mate.
I hope that your United fare better this afternoon than my United did this morning.
Agreed. Hot for six on the day of half century was not exactly what the doctor ordered. Also, we need revenge vs the Swans.
Matt Fryatt on for James Chester, the former Man Yoo trainee as a forward is on for a defender.
Me too!!
I was worried it wasn't on
It isn't on NBCSN and then I checked NBC and it had college basketball on cable guide but the website says it is on NBC
Jose about to shut up shop as the door was opened barely a crack as Obi Wan is about to come on.
My guide still says basketball!!
Notre Dame and Georgia Tech… it better damn be on!
OBI Wan on for Oscar as the cracked door is slammed shut!
Just checked my guide. The late on is on the local NBC
My local NBC better not be phaffing about with it!!
Have a look at this gag photo:

Boy, that was quick!
Did you see there was a big match in the Championship yesterday. Top of the table Foxes defeated the fourth place Rams in an East Midlands Derby 4-1. A bad evening for Stevie Mac.
Leeds worst league defeat in 55 years!!
It should be on all the local NBC channels.
Stephen Quinn on for George Boyd.
Nice
I saw that - Stevie Mac didn't have a good week.
GOAL! A rare one for El Nino!
GOAL !!! THIS ONE IS DONE AND DUSTED AS TORRES PUTS CHELSEA TWO UP.
Two nil
Again, I called it!
Chelsea sucking but score a couple goals in the second half
BUGGER BUGGER BUGGER
What's with these goalkeepers getting beaten on their near posts today? McGregor with a shocker.
Willian passed to Torres , who ran at the Hull City defense and beat McGregor at the near post
Don't Call me Shirley on for Willian.
I loved the promo on facebook. Great to see you have a sense of humor after what happened.
I am off for walkies
I'll be back for the 10 o'clockers
Three minutes of stoppage time.
Cheers UWS.
Cheerio, mate! I might have to take a quick nap.
Chelsea about to have a double of 2-0 wins vs the Tigers. Scored in the first half on opening day and in the second half today
The next match is on in 25 minutes.
High and wide by Fatty as it has been this entire match
Both managers shake hands before the match is over.
Chelsea win 0-2 at the KC and are top for the time being.
Everton have just signed Aiden McGeady from Spartak Moscow.
They're off from SFL
