Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

As I join the match, Patrice Evra gets booked for a silly handball.
Half an hour in and we're still at 0-0.
Here's an ironic thought, then. If United go on to win this one, Moyesy could well win two for two in terms of trophies so far this season. What then?
GOAL! Oh dear - Sunderland have scored in stoppage time. And wouldn't you know it - it's Wes Brown with the telling cross. I think that it was Ryan Giggs who had the last touch rather than Phil Bardsley.
1-0 Sunderland at the interval!
Sunderland about to kick off the second half, one goal up through that unfortunate o.g. by Giggsy.
Giggsy with a chance to make up for that own goal. Over a free kick....
Giggs chips one in rather than going for goal. Headed out for a corner.
GOAL! Vidic fires United level with a towering header from Cleverley's corner!
Well - that puts a different complexion on the match, doesn't it?
Adam Johnson comes on for the Black Cats.
Oh - Borini was nearly in there but had a lot to do and Rafael put him off.
Sebi Larsson has a chance from a free kick now. He can be quite lethal from this distance.
Not lethal at all this time.
Johnny Evans limping off to be replaced by Chris Smalling.
Oh - Twilight bails out Vidic who's tame headed clearance went straight to Larsson.
Penalty to Sunderland!!!!!
United are furious about that and Rafa gets a yellow for dissent but Johnson went down under Clev's clumsy challenge. Seen them given...
Fabio Borini steps up to take it....
Roofs it! 2-1 Sunderland!
Well, now - Fabio was sent off at the weekend and now Rafa is looking to repeat his efforts.
And Gus Poyet is livid about Rafa escaping justice for that clear stamp on the foot. United really in trouble now.
Jozy on for Fletcher now. Probably an unwise move by Gus.
Fifteen minutes left for United to crawl back into this one but right now they're defending more than attacking.
Oh - Janu with a snapshot on the volley. Worth a pop but wide.
Jozy has picked up a yellow card for some "gridiron" tackling, according to Martin Tyler.
Janu wins another corner. Five minutes of stoppage time to come.
Jozy clears the ball out - he's useful for that, at least.
Down to just a couple of minutes. Of course United will have the home leg at OT to come, but this is another embarrassing loss to the bottom Prem club.
So, United lose their third match in a row
This is getting very depressing
I don't see a turning point at the moment. The entire squad is just not good enough and who would want to come in??
I lived in England in the 70s and some of the 80s and I had to put up with all of Liverpool's successes. United overtook the Merseyside lot and I have had my run of unprecedented success which has now come to an end
Will this team win a couple of leagues here and there or will be on a run like Liverpool and the Uniteds of my youth?
Time will tell. I will be a fan as always but I won't be that upset… I'VE GROWN!
I recorded the match and watched what was really depressing viewing. United are in their worst slump in years and as UWS stated, I hope It won't be another runoff Liverpool successes. This squad needs to be scrapped and rebuilt. We have dominated for twenty years and this wasn't going to last forever.
Sorry about that, lads. Will either of you be around for the Citeh v. Hammers match this afternoon?
