It used to be my favorite day of the year! Waking up early waiting for Cup Final Grandstand to begin. Reporters at each hotel, watching the teams getting on the bus heading to Wembley,It's A Cup Final Knockout, teams arriving at the Twin Towers, taking a walk on the pitch, Abide With Me, the match, the lap of honor. I can remember every Cup Final as if it was yesterday from 1972 all the way up until 1985!! Great memories indeed!!
So, this year's version is another David vs Goliath… Will Arsenal finally win a trophy for the first time since (LUCKILY) beating United on penalties in 2005? Will Hull City win the Cup in their first Final?

I am surprised that there is a new trophy this year.I agree with Bob that we would have to be up in the middle of the night to see the Pre match activities.I also hope that FOX does justice to the cup.
Bugger - I just assumed it was a 3pm GMT kick-off. Now it conflicts with the Barca - Atleti match-up in La Liga.

It finished Desmond between Southend United and Richard Burton Albion in a League 2 playoff semi as the Burtons won 3-2 on aggregate. The Final will be at Wemberley between Richard Burton Albion and Fleetwood Mac.

Tomorrow, Cambridge play Gateshead for a place in the Football League. Cambridge were relegated in 2005 , the last time Arsenal won a trophy. This is the third playoff final since relegation from the Football League. Gateshead were last in the Football League in 1960.
