The Long and Winding Road has come to an end
So, it all started in back in August with the Moyes Era starting at Old Trafford. Would it make a difference? Would United just keep on winning even without SAF? Well, we all know that was an emphatic NO! With the absence of United as a factor, it was all shaping up to an exciting finish with three clubs with a chance of winning the title. Sadly, that hasn't panned out either. It is pretty much all done and dusted at both ends of the table. It is a shame because NBC deserves to be able to show the drama of the end of the season. They have been BRILLIANT! Excellent coverage everywhere, going to games that aren't finished, being at the stadium before kick off to soak up the atmosphere, staying at the end to show the reactions!! AGAIN…. well done!
I may not be around for the whole of the last day, Matt's team won three games yesterday and play today in a tourney
WORLD CUP IS COMING!!

Morning Boys
Because of Formula 1, the pre game stuff is going to be on CNBC
I will have to be leaving before kick off!
Hate to miss it but I'm a good dad
Good morning UWS. That was a brilliant post and really well stated. You are correct to go and watch Matt. Citeh have all but won the title anyway
Richard Burton Albion have defeated Southend on Sea 1-0 in the first leg of a League 2playoff.
I have the PIP option in action. I will be watching the matches on NBC and NBCSN
Morning, boys - thanks for posting the thread this morning, UWS. I'm watching the make-up tips on NBC. Sergio Aguero could definitely use those - his skin is terrible!
Okay, I'm turning over to CNBC.
Pub coverage on CNBC now.
Good morning Bob. I have Formula 1 on NBCSN and a Tejano music informercial on NBC. Now Becky is on NBCSN.
UWS is correct that there is a lack of drama in the Prem. For once it was north of the border and in LA Liga. Hibs AKA as hibernation are involved in a bizarre playoff format.
Teams coming out and I going out!
Sorry I will be missing. Maybe I'll be back
Come on Tottenham!
UWS is clearly not looking forward to Europa League footie. I'm back on NBC with City and West Ham.
Championship Sunday is underway
I am not watching the Syfy Channel today. United may not even be in Europe next season
I got your message about the TEA evaluation system, MUR. I'll have a look and respond to it later.
Shola Ameobi heads wide from a corner.
Cheers Bob. I's supposed to be a big change.
Slow start to this morning's action. No goals in the Prem in the first seven minutes.
The scenario in La Liga . If Atheltico win today then Real are eliminated. If both Baraca and Athletico win today then Barca can beat Athletico at the nou Camp next Sunday and win La Liga. Both teams would be level on points and Barca would win on head to head. Revenge for the CL elimination?
Brendan Rogers was commenting earlier in the week that Andy Carroll was going to do the biz for him against Citeh today. Was that why he shopped him to West Ham?
The Swans have taken the lkead at the SOL and Sturrioge was offside as he shot wide with just the keeper to beat
Swansea have taken the lead in a dead rubber of a match against Sunderland.
Ameobi heads straight to Mignolet.
Andy Carroll was never going to fit in to Breandan's plans . It was expected that he would go to a side like Fat Sam;s
Never a pen on Sterling as Everton take the lead at the KC.
Nathan Dyer with the Swansea goal and Sen. James McCarthy with the Everton goal.
I anoraked yesterday and found out the playoff format for the SPL playoffs if you are interested.
Not at all, mate. Sorry - I have no time for the SPL.
Citeh win a corner as the Spuds take the lead vs Villa.
That would eliminate United from the EL no matter what happens on the SY FY Channel.
Swansea two up at the SOL.
Spurs have taken the lead against Villa. One more step toward EL qualification. Sorry, mate.
Paulinho with a close range goal for the Spuds.
That's okay. Look how Pool took advantage of not being in Europe.
The goals are coming thick and fast now. Relegated Cardiff have gone 1-0 over Chelski through a goal by Craig Bellamy.
Too little too late for the Red Dragons/ Blue Birds as Cardiff take the lead vs Chelsea.
That has to be your model for next season. Rebuild under the leadership of a visionary new leader.
Where were his goals when they needed them?
Wow - Newcastle have taken the lead at Anfield through a Martin Skrtel own goal.
Aguero's shot is blocked off there.
BLOODY HELL!!! THE TOON HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD AT ANFIELD THANKS TO A SKRTEL OG. A VOLLEY THAT ALLAN CLARKE WOULD HAVE BRAGGED ABOUT
Oh dear - that was a horrible shank by Dzeko at the end of a great move through Nasri.
I wish they were showing the goals here. One little quibble.
A great Toon possession and a cross by Gouffrhan after three one twos and his cross was volleyed perfectly in the corner by Skrtel in front oif the KOP!
Another O.G.! He's getting a workout today. This one is by the Baggies' McAuley, benefiting Stoke City away.
Not sure why the cheeky goal by Suarez was disallowed ?
Adrian did well to tip over a shot from Milner.
Marvin emnes with the second Swansea goal
Great counter by the Toon and but for Mignolet they would have been two down. Gouffrhan through on goal and a great block from Mignolet as the rebound landed in row M of the KOP.
Why did Suarez have a goal disallowed?
Soton have taken the lead through a Ricky Lambert goal. Sorry, mate.
Gouffrhan in again and great defending by Johnson
Didn't see the incident, mate. Not sure.
That's okay. I thought they were pretty much out anyway.
Palace take the lead at Fulham.
Noble went in hard on Joe Hart. Roy Hodgson won't like that challenge.
Pool have a free kick off a naughty challenge from Steven Taylor. Suarez into the wall.
It wasn't a noble action.
Young Dwight Gayle, the hero on Monday , with the Palace goal.
Boom boom, mate!
The Toon last won a league match at Anfield in 1994 and have won two of the last 41 league meetings at Anfield.
This one and the Arsenal match are the only ones without a goal now.
I'd love to see a freak West Ham goal right about now. NBC deserve that.
Ta, Bob. Great run by Suarez but a weak finish was easily saved by Krul
Debuchy booked for time wasting.
OG is still the top scorer.
Spurs are 2-0 up now. O.G. has been busy this morning.
The Spuds go two up vs Vanilla on their way to an EL spot.
Nathan Baker cooked up that OG , who now has a first half hat-trick.
O.G. is a superstar this morning - sign him up, LUFC!
Derby County vs Brighton is on after this match, but unfortunately , I will have to miss that one.
GOAL! Samir Nasri with a corker!
Nasri put his foot through that one with no backlift. No chance for Adrian.
What a finish by Nasri, but the Hammers defense did not close him down. Surely, the title is on it's way to the Etihad.
The Spuds are three up vs Vanilla.
Ade with the goal from the spot. I am conceding the EL spot.
Aguero is well wide from a free kick
James THompkins with a last ditch interception for a corner off a pass from, Zaba off a run from Sguero.
If Gooner is watching the action at CR then he is watching the only match without a goal.
A minute of stoppage time at the Etihad.
A really late Citeh corner. OH! Off the post from Silva and as it deflected off of Kevin Nolan and Citeh are one up at the half.
The Toon one up at the half at Anfield. Citeh one half away from lifting the Prem title.
OG is the top scorer, with a hat-trick.
The second half is underway from the Etihad.
Jerko is offside/
The second half is underway from Anfield.
I'm with UWS - I've got no excitement about this season any more. Just bring on the World Cup.
I agree. The real excitement is in La Liga and the relegation playoff , albeit a weird format, north of the border. Never heard of that format.
Sterling has a shot deflected for a corner. Nasri with a free kick headed out for a corner
2-0! The Skipper does the business!
GOAL !!! 2-0 CITEH AND KOMPANY BLASTS HOME FROM A CORNER. ANDY CAROOLL HEADED DOWN AND KPMPANY HAS ALL BUT GIVEN CITEH THE TIT;LE
Everton are 0-2 up at Hull now. The Chunk with another goal. He did okay for me this season but no one was going to catch Suarez in that mood.
Elizabeth and I responded to your post on FB
Citeh fans now enjoying a round or two of the Poznan.
Cheers, mate - I saw that. Happy Mother's Day to you and Elizabeth. Did she get a brekkies in bed?
Agreed Bob. Joe Mou didn't, but who would he have picked for player of the year?
Yes. She did. The girls fixed her brekkies. Yesterday, Elizabeth walked her tush down the catwalk.
A goal at CR as thhe Gunners take the lead.
Swansea go 1-3 up at the SOL after Borini9 had pulled one back with a header.
The goals are flying in now. Aaron Ramsey is finishing his season as he started it - with scoring. Arsenal are 0-1 up. Ramsey will end up the Gunners' top scorer, which has to be a source of concern for them.
Aaron Ramsey with the Gunners goal off an assist form Giroud.
The Bone with the third Swansea goal.
The Baggies tie it up vs Stoke. The Baggies are the draw specialists this season/
A quick look at the Golden Boot stats on Championship Sunday:
Suarez - 31 goals!
Sturridge - 21
Toure - 20
Aguero - 17
Rooney - 17
Dzeko - 16
Giroud - 16
Bony - 15
Lukaku - 15
Rodriguez - 15
Hazard - 14
Sess with the goal for the Baggies.
Nothing for predicting second
So NBC has got goals in all matches now. Well done!
Three goals for West Ham in the last half hour? Don't think so.
United tie it up at Sty. Mary's, but it really doesn't mean anything.
The Gunners go two up at CR.
And Pool need two. I don't see it happening either. Fulham tie it up vs Palace.
Arsenal are 0-2 up now at Carrow Road. Private Jenkinson adding to Norwich's woes.
Juan Mata with the United goal, but it doesn't Mata.
If West Ham were to get one back, it might stir the Liverpool players. I can't believe that they're going to lose to Newcastle at home on the last day of a good season for them.
Liverpool do have one back through Daniel Agger. 1-1 at Anfield.
GOAL !!! POOL TIE IT UP AT ANFIELD.
Tiote booked for afoul on Coutinho
Jack Wilshere is coming on after a lengthy absence due to a fractured foot. Good news for England.
GOAL !!! 2-1 AS DANNY BOY SCORES AT HE FAR POST OFF A FREE KICK FROM STEVIE G. HE WAS COMPLETELY UNMARKED.
Daniel Sturridge has scored his 21st goal of the season for Pool. They're 2-1 up now. Hope to see him scoring bags of goals next month.
Shola Ameobi sent off . Why was he sent off?
Newcastle down to ten men now!
I see that Mata equalized for you lot. I had missed that one.
Dzeko comes off after a great run of form at just the right time. Fernandinho on for him.
I think it was for a second yellow and he will miss the opening day of the season.
What was Ameobi thinking? UWS is correct that modern day footballers are morons.. He talked himself into the book twice in ten seconds.
So 37 points means safety this season for Hull and West Brom. In truth, 34 points would have meant safety.
The first Pool goal was identical to the second. The free kick from Stevie G was taken at the same spot, but put away by Agger. Anita had fouled Sterling.
The highest points total for Hull City in the top flight./
The second Arsenal goal scored by Major Jenkinson . His first ever Prem goal?
Silva coming off to a huge ovation, with Jamie Milner on for him.
Yes - his first goal for the Gunners in 57 matches!
I think Pool need fourteen more goals.
I am here for the 'climax' of the season
What a shame it has ended this way
Welcome back, mate. I agree - NBC deserved better from its Championship Sunday coverage.
Chelsea take the lead as I came in the house
Chelsea have scored two quick goals at Cardiff.
Giggs not playing
Is he on the bench?
First EVER time in the Prem League… Giggs doesn't score
Shame. It was to see a tribute to him on Wednesday.
United have won 11 lost 11!!!!
YIKES!
Not a good season at OT for sure.
I'm being a good boy
Watching United on Scify
Schurrle Temple and Torres with the goals.
Crystal Pulis retake the lead at The Cottage… not Bob's
Mata tries a side volley from six yard… JUST HEAD IT!!!!
My Cottage is definitely not Craven.
United fans making a lot of noise and dancing in the aisles…. must be thrilled this season is over!!!
Paul Dummett with a red for Newcastle… second of the day. Not deserved
Dwight Gayle with the second Palace goal. His fourth in two games
"We gonna win the league" ringing out round the City of Manc Stadium now.
A nasty scuffle now at the Etihad - hardly the way to end the season.
I am glad the season is over. Bring on the world Cup.
players almost fighting at the Etihad!
Aguerro with a late challenge.. stupid!
Why? YOU'RE CHAMPS
Nasty challenge there from Aguero. Could be red for him. Silly boy. Yellow.
United fans still doing the Conga
Three minutes of stoppage time at the Etihad.
Looks like NBC regular is off at Noon. All the trophy presentations will be in on NBCSN
MANCHESTER…. TITLE TOWN
Stoke go 1-2 up at the Hawthorns.
The Arse warm up for the Cup Final with a two nil win
There will be an East Anglian derby next season
Charlie Adam has scored a winner for Stoke on the last day of the season.
Charlie Adam with the Stoke goal.
All over at WHL… United out of Europe
City are CHAMPIONS
There it is - City are champions for the second time in three seasons.
Not exactly the same way as last season
Crowd are pouring on the field
It's over and Citeh are Premier League Champions. They won it because they kept their nerve down the stretch.
Great scenes at the Etihad. Full on pitch invasion. Martin DiMichaelis is being mobbed as he struggles off the pitch.
How the hell does a flare get back into the stadium
It's over at Anfield and Pool win 2-1
Get them off so they can give the trophy
Liverpool win
Liverpool have won 2-1 but it's not enough. They're two points back.
Fulham tie it late on vs Palace as they make it Desmond.
The tannoy is trying to get the fans off the pitch to no avail.
Desmond makes his last appearance of the season… at the Cottage
Desmond makes his last appearance of the season… at the Cottage
Chris David with the Fulham goal.
Joe Hart out of breath after battling through the fans. Did he have a save to make today?
The pitch is slowly being cleared at the Etihad.
The fans in the stands are now giving the supporters on the pitch some stick.
NBC have split screen.. well done again
I went to Scify and they are doing it too
I'm off for lunch, lads. Enjoy the trophy ceremony.
Stoke move up to ninth .Their highest ever Prem finish? The Toon down to tenth.
That Palace result for Liverpool really didn't matter after all
Palace finish 11th
HOW ON EARTH DID NEWCASTLE FINISH NINTH???
I think Stoke finished 10th behind the Toon
Hull end just out of the drop zone
I have to leave too. We are having lunch with Elizabeth's family then off to Melanie's end of the year Mother's Day concert.
NBC keeping up the great coverage…watching Little Lucas kicking the ball on the Anfield pitch
No. Stoke finished ninth. I think that's their best ever Prem finish.
Take care boys
Cup Final next
TTFN
I'm off. Wishing Kath a Happy Mother's Day
One last plug for NBC
They have kept on the main network for the trophy presentation… fantastic
Of course, who's watching?
The trophy has been presented.
Arlo White sends it back to Rebecca and Co but they stay at the stadium for the lap of honor
More thumbs up
