Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

England World Cup Warm-ups

Just a quick message to mention the three friendlies that England will play in preparation for the upcoming World Cup campaign:

Friday, May 30th - England v. Peru (Wembley)
Wednesday, June 4th - England v. Ecuador (Miami Sunlife Stadium)
Saturday, June 7th - England v. Honduras (Miami Sunlife Stadium)

So, it appears that Woy is more concerned about England's fixtures against Uruguay and Costa Rica than he is with the opener against Italy. Your thoughts, gentlemen?

Thanks for the update. It sure seems that way. I do agree with England playing two matches at Miami to acclimatize to the heat. It should be interesting as those matches are mid to late afternoon matches. It's interesting to look Italy and Uruguay's remaining warm up matches.
Uruguay play Northern Ireland on May 30th and Slovenia on June 4th. Both matches are in Montevideo.
Italy play the Republic of Ireland at the Fake Cottage on May 31st and Luxembourg on June 4th in Perugia. I would think that Prandelli's scheduling is just as questionable as Woy's even though Ireland are similar to England. He doesn't seem that concerned about Uruguay. Also, his choice of venues are questionable. Uruguay did the best job, IMHO.
