Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

It's about a half an hour in at the Riverside and it's 1-1 between Middlesbrough and Ipswich. Daryl Murphy nearly gave Ipswich the lead as he had a deflected effort come off the post. Ayala, the Middlesbrough scorer, has gone off injured.
Daryl Murphy had a shot deflected for a corner then headed over off the corner from Jay Tabb
The teams are on the pitch at Selhurst Park as Palace host QPR.
Tommy Smith has been booked for a foul on Bamford
Taarabt and SWP make rare starts for QPR. They're off from Selehurst Park.
GOAL !!! ALBERT ADOMAH PUTS MIDDLESBROUGH 2-1 UP WITH A GOAL FROM A TRAINING GROUND ROUTINE OFF A SHORT CORNER, INVOLVING ADAM CLAYTON. pOOR DFENDING BY THE tRACTOR BOYS, WHO WERE BALL WATCHING .
Parr wins a corner for Ipswich
The corner from Bishop is headed wide by Daryl Murphy.
Ipswich have another corner and ping pong action in the box before a counter from Adomah comes to nothing
A rare appearance for Woody as he came on for the injured Ayala.
Middlesbrough have a tough run in and would do well to get promoted. Six of their last ten matches are against promotion chasing teams. They are currently hosting Ipswich , face Derby on Tuesday , then away to the Cherries next Saturday before a well earned international break.
Two great blocks from Adam Clayton off some nice Ipswich footie to prevent a visit from Desmond.
Eight minutes of stoppage time.
The announcer said that play had stopped for six minutes while Ayla was down injured before being replaced by Woody.
Teddy Bishop has been booked for Ipswich what seemed a minor foul
More time will be added on as Tyrone Mings is down off a challenge from Adomah
Roy Keane is in attendance. I'm sure he's not there to cheer on mick's lads given that he was sacked by the Tractor Boys and had the famous run in with Mick in 2002.
Play resumes and
GOAL !!!! PALACE TAKE THE LEAD WITH THE FIRST SHOT OF THE MATCH FROM EITHER TEAM.
I was so focused on the match at the Riverside that I had fail to realize that Palace were threatening . Bolassie has been a pain to the QPR back four. Scott Dann had headed over with a free header off a corner and from the ensuing goal kick, Dann headed the ball up to Baloassie who went on one oif his typical runs down the left and the ball went across the box and appeared to be bundled in by both Zaha and Puncheon simultaneously. I think ZAha will be credited with the goal. He was down off the contact , but appears to be okay
It's halftime at the Riverside with Middlesbrough leading 2-1 at the end of an exciting first half. Middlesbrough wanted a penalty seconds earlier when Bamford went down in the box.
Off two Selhurst Park with Palace in control against struggling QPR.
The announcer says QPR don't look up for the fight and I see as Palace have been all sorts of time on the ball. Now QPR have a rare long possession in the Palace half.
A requisite booking for Karl Henry , but earlier than normal as Palace countered through Zaha, who nut megged Henry, who must have been embarrassed.
Furlong clears a Palalce attack as he makes a rare attack for QPR, now Yun clears for a Palace corner. Nice dummy from Glenn Murray
Murray heads over the corner from Puncheon.
Naughty by Sandro on Glenn Murray
QPR is wearing all white, which is fitting because they are waving the white flag
BOOM Their Prem survival hopes appear to be going up in smoke
BOOM BOOM!
Tarrabt heads with over with a free header off a rare QPR attack
GOAL !!! PALACE GO TWO UP OFF A PASS FROM BOLASSIE SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE FIRST GOAL,BUT BUNDLED IN BY MACARTHUR.
The second half kicked off from the Riverside while the goal was scored and
GOAL !!! PALACE GO THREE UP.
Joe Ward scored his first Palace goal as he played a nice one two with Zaha as QPR defenders backed off . Glenn Murray did well to find Zaha down the right
There was 91 seconds between the goals.
This match is done and dusted and it's not even halftime. as we are in stoppage time. Two minutes.
This QPR team is pretty much doomed as witnessed by their lack of commitment.
Furlong heads out for a Palace corner and Lee Mason shows QPR some mercy as he blows the halftime whistle before the corner can be taken. Palace are three up.
Back to the Riverside with Palace three up.
Sorry Borough still lead 2-1.
Gibson, the chairman's nephew, is booked for holding back Daryl Murphy.
Can Freddy Dears by back a goal for Ipswich. not even close as he shoots well wide , failing to trouble the big Greek keeper.
Sorry. Sears, not Dears.
Adomah is offside off a headed pass from Adam Clayton . Dean Gerken saves his effort, but the replay shows that Adom ah appeared to be level.
GOAL !!!! PATRICK BAMFROD PUTS MIDDLESBROUGH 3-1 UP AS HE BEATS THE OFFSIDE TRAP.
The goal came off a long bout of head tennis of goal kick from Middlesbrough's big Greek keeper. A long clearance found Bamford , who went past Tommy Smith, who had his back turned to the play and Bamford, all alone, slotted past the on rushing Bialkowski.
The second half has kicked off from Selhurst Park
Adam Forshaw, the former Toffees trainee, is on for Vossen.Mick counters as he is to bring on Chris , the big Kiwi striker. Let's hope he makes up for the poor defending from his compatriot that lead to the third Middlesbrough goal.
AN attacking move from Mick as Chris wood, a striker , is on for left back, Jay Tabb. Mic doesn't really have a choice as the Tractor Boys are two goals down
Teddy Bishop fouls Bamford, apparently upset that the Bishop didn't pay a visit to the Riverside.
Adam Reach booked for a naughty challenge on Teddy Bishop.
Sandro is booked for a foul on Bolassie just outside the box off some really poor defending
Jason Puncheon is down in his own half as Palace were about to take the free kick
Puncheon is down and the last thing QPR wants as Dwight Gayle is on . The local lad was born in Croydon , just down the road.
Gayle wins a corner off of Clint Hill.
Zaha gets a standing ovation as he hobbles off and is replaced by Adrian Mariappa, a defender.
GOAL !!! BAMFORD HAS A BRACE AS HE PUTS MIDDLESBROUGH 4-1 UP.
Tommy Smith was culpable again as he was too easily turned by Bamford ad did well to shoot in the corner past Bialkowwski.
The Tractor Boys have out shot Middlesbrough have out shot Middlesbrough 20 to 9, but it's meaningless if you can't put the ball in the big rectangle.
Daryl Murphy has pass intended for Freddy Sears cut out for a corner.
Bamford clears for another corner.
The final roll of the dice from Mick as Luke Varney is on for young Teddy Bishop.
Both matches are pretty much done and dusted.
OH!!! Bamford nearly had a hat-trick as Ipswich , chasing the match were caught on the break and Adaomah found Bamford, who shot over.
Luke Varney with a free header, heads wide off a great cross from Daryl Murphy
Grant Ledbitter receives a standing ovation as he is replaced by Nsue.
Into stoppage time as Bamford has another chance, but blasts high and wide.
The amount is not shown, but the announcer said three minutes.
Cole Skuse wins a late Ipswich corner.
it's headed away
A rare QPR attack as Charlie Austin heads straight to Speroni as it's over at the Riverside. Middlesbrough have defeated Ipswich 4-1.
Onuha has talked himself into the book as he was wrongly called for a foul on Dwight Gayle inches outside the box as Murray had headed on a long clearance from Speroni, The free kick from Gayle was straight to Rob Green.,
I am back from dropping off Elizabeth and Jacquelyn to see that QPR scored a consolation goal as they were handily defeated 3-1 by Palace.
The one bright point in a really dismal performance for QPR was a cracker of a goal by Matty Phillips for QPR . He picked up a loose ball at the halfway line and scored a contender for goal of the season as he shot a rocket from 45 yards out the crashed in off the underside of the bar, giving Speroni no chance in the Palace goal. He's lucky if he even saw the shot.
They're off from the EM in another London Derby as the DC Boys see their teams in action. Gooner's Gunners host Johnno's Hammers.
Kickoff has been delayed at Carrow Road as there's a moment's applause for the passing of a former Canary , who was part of the 1962 League Cup winning side.
They're off from Carrow Road
It's another promotion six pointer as the in form Canaries host the Rams.
Theo should have put the Gunners in front as he was alone with just Adrian to beat , but hesitated and allowed Collins to slide in. Theo wanted a penalty , but I think he went down too easily.
An early go to the Hornets as Watford take the lead vs Reading
The Real Dons take the lead at Exeter while UWS will be pleased that Pompey have taken the lead vs Luton.

Second half back to Crapchester United!
Unbelievably bad by Jones with his control and then the , surprise surprise, BACKPASS by Valencia
Indefensible by DiMaria and Jan with their dives and of course touching the ref
I am watching the Canaries vs the Rams at the same time I'm watching this match. I saw the Tractor Boys lose earlier.
Adrian does well to tip over a volley by Ramsey off a cross by Chambers
I saw the cup match and agree. What were Valencia and Di Maria thinking.according my calculations, Di Maria won't be available until four weeks ago. A nice vacation for doing something terrible wrong.
Not good by the Tractor Boys they are dropping off the pace
Villa will be well clear of the drop zone if they win today
Has DiM been banned for longer?
He only really got a second yellow and that's one game
Brentford take the lead against Cardiff
The Tractor Boys pout shot Borough 20-9, but lost due to two individual errors by Kiwi defender, Tommy Smith and some poor finishing. Otherwise, it was a fairly even match

They need a minimum 11 points to win the league
Hibs two up... ten.. here we come
Cowdenbeath did hold Rangers to a nil niller in between the two Capital clubs
Villa THREE NIL up
The Canaries definitely looked like a Prem side in what was a fifteen pass move and the Rams looked like a clueless Championship side as they were sliced apart. One of the Olsson twins passed for Cameron Jerome to tap in.
Wigan two up
So are Bournemouth
I disagree with Bob.. I'd like to see Bournemouth get promoted... they have played attractive stuff... United could learn something from them

BUGGER... The Gooners take the lead
Giroux
Almost the last kick of the half
Good finish by Giroud
Not good news for United
I think Arsenal and Liverpool will finish in the top four... one of them could catch City
Rotherham get a goal back against Wigan
Rangers only drawing at home to Livingston
Bob's beloved scoreless at home to Forest
Fans have already left the Stadium of Dark... some trying to get at Poyet on the bench
I know Chelsea have two games in hand but they would only be SIX points behind Arsenal

Cheers UWS. I apologize for leaving you. I received an emergency phone call. enjoy the rest of your weekend . Cheers , mate.
They're off from Turf Moor.
Ben Mee and Kieran Trippier are former Citeh Academy players, so they will be keen to have a great showing today
I thought Burnley should have had a penalty , but the replay showed that a cross from Trippier came off of Clichy's chest
Kompany cut out a cross from George Boyd for a corner off a nice pass from Trippier
The two former Citeh Academy players combine as the corner from Trippier was headed on by Ashley Barnes and headed over by Ben Mee. Both former Citeh Academy players are fullbacks.
Silva wins a corner off of Jason Shackell off a pass from Zaba. George Boyd was alert to the short corner.
Ashley Barnes has a long range effort deflect off of Zaba for a corner.Jerko heads away the corner from Trippier.
Citeh's first attempt of the match as Danny Ings was tackled just outside his box and Heaton saved a snap shot from Jerko then Aguero shot right st Heaton.
Burnl;ey have their first shot on target as Hart easily saves a long rang effort from Scott Arfield.
A superb last ditch tackle by Shackell on Jerko off a superb slide rule pass from Silva then Aguero blasts high and wide from a narrow angle.
Ben Mee fouls Navas on a Citeh counter that all started when Di Michelis tackled George Boyd
Navas wins a corner off of Ben Mee.
Not stoppage time as it's 0-0 at the half.
A brave first half performance by Burnley, but Citeh started taking control the last fifteen minutes of the half.
Thirty seven year old Duff is fouled by Aguero, who should have been booked and not even a free kick was given
Citeh should have taken the lead as Zaba , from his own box, found fellow Argie , Aguero at the halfway line and his perfect slide rule pass found Silva , who had a rare poor first touch with just Heaton to beat that took him out wide , then shot straight at Heaton from a narrow angle.
The two Argies combine again as Zaba went down the right and his pass was shot just wide by Aguero at the near post.
OH!!! the closest Burnley have come to scoring as Di Michelis headed out a cross and George Boyd volleyed just wide from just outside the box.
Ben Mee is booked for a naughty challenge on Navas . It didn't look so bad on the replay. Kind of harsh, IMHO.
Di Michelis is booked for a cynical foul on Danny Ings.
GOAL !!! BURNLEY TAKE THE LEAD. THE FREE KICK FROM TRIPPIER WAS HEADED AWAY BY KOMPANY AN BOYD HIT IT FIRST TIME INCHES OUTSIDE THE BOX AND IT WENT IN THE FAR CORNER DESPITE THE FULL LENGTH DIVE FROM HART.
Trippier is down under a challenge from Du Michelis.
That goal could prove to be vital at both ends of the table. Burnley would be one point behind the fourth from bottom Black Cats while this could bve the end of Citeh's slim title hopes.
Citeh responded by bringing on Boni for the ineffective Jerko,.
Navas , the target of the boo boys, wins a corner off of Ashley Barnes. The corner is headed away and Fernandinho finds Row M, to the delight of the home fans.
A certain Jose at the Bridge should be delighted at the proceedings at Turf Moor.
