Relegation Dogfight Tuesday!
It's relegation dogfight Tuesday in the Premiership, with several bottom of the table match-ups to follow. Tim Sherwood's new Villa side take on West Brom, Hull meet Sunderland and rapidly improving Palace meet Southampton. Along with that, there is a full slate of Championship offering as well. Join me for a cuppa and a natter, won't you?

Good afternoon, Bob.I will be around for the first half. I wish I could have a cuppa, but I am at work. I think the suits are televising the Black Country Derby.
Afternoon, MUR - how's your week going so far?
I'm on a live stream for the Villa v. West Brom match here:

Great. Thanks for asking . How has your week been?
I have a stream as well. I will be around for the first half. Not so sure about the second half.
The starting line-ups coming out at Villa Park now:
Villa - Big Brad, Lowton, Okore, Clark, Hutton, Cleverboy, Westwood, Delph, Gabby Ag, Benteke, N'Zogbia.
WBA - Foster, Dawson, McAuley, Lescott, Brunt, Fletch, Yacob, Gardner, Morrison, Berahino, Ideye.
We're getting a bit more snow today, as if we'd ordered any more - sheesh!
Only two goals for Benteke this season - the boy's got to pull his finger out or Villa are going down.
Did you notice these mugs play each other again on Saturday, also at Villa Park. Boy, I am so thrilled.
The Baggies get us going. They're in 13th and relatively safe on 30 points. No so, Villa, who start in 29th on 22 pts.
They're off from Vanilla Park
Yeah - in the Cup, right? Big couple of games for both clubs.
I heard it's supposed to warm up in your area this week. We were cool and locked in Blighty style fog from Saturday through yesterday.I twill be warm today and tomorrow then gale force winds and in the low 40s Thursday. Highly unusual for here in March
I fancy the Baggies to be in the semis.
The Baggies win a corner off of shaky, comical defending from Okore and Co.
Sloppy stuff from Okore there - not what Tim Sherwood ordered.
I guess it's a goal kick , but there's an example of why Villa are in danger of relegation. Even the Spanish announcers said aye aye aye.,
Tim slammed down the water bottle after that bit of so called defending from Okore.
No goals in the early stages either here or in the other Prem or Champ matches.
Andy Townsend is one of the more ponderous color guys working today.
I would favor the Baggies over Villa , today , Saturday , and for that matter any other day of the week.
He used to be on Fox . I thought he was decent.
Charlton take the lead vs Forest as do Brentford vs the Terriers
Table topping Bristol City are having a rough trip as they fall behind to the Orient Express. Not a smooth ride.
Another tantrum by Timmy after that hand ball by Agbon.
Now he's not happy about the officiating despite an obvious foul by one of his players
Watford take the lead vs Fulham
Agbon thought he had given Villa the lead as Beneteke headed down a cross and a snap shot by Agbon squirmed through Ben Foster . He recovered as all, but a sliver of the ball crossed the line . Lucky Baggies.,
The goal line technology shows Ben Foster was a lucky boy as Villa missed scoring by hundreths of a millimeter
The first Prem goal of the evening as N'Doye gives Hull City the lead vs the Black Cats, one of Brucey's former clubs.,
I was just pulled into a meeting for a moment. I see that Charlton and Forest are at 1-1 now.
The Cherries take the lead vs Wolves while Forest tie it up at Charlton.
Ben Foster nearly gifted Villa a goal during the meeting.
Clever Boy well over, showing why he couldn't hack it at United.,
That one is a real six-pointer, as a Hull win drops Sunderland right into the relegation mix just above Villa - and vice versa.
GOAL! Wow - it's a real rarity - a Villa goal by Gabby Agbonlahor! Great finish!
Villa have a free kick and a really pathetic one is basically passed to Ben Foster by N'zogbia
Route 1 stuff from Guzan and nodded on by Benteke into Gabby's path. Finished through Foster's legs.
1-0 Villa!
That lifts Villa above QPR who have two matches in hand now.
GOAL !!! AGBON GIVES VILLA THE LEAD. ROUTE ONE STUFF AS BENETEKE HEADED ON A LONG CLEARANCE FROM GUZAN AND AGBON SCORED WITH A NICE FINISH PAST BEN FOSTER,
I think QPR have a tough one vs the Gunners tomorrow and a make up match vs the Spuds on Saturday. will they get anything from either match?
Darren Fletcher upset as he clashed with former United teammate , Clever Boy and nearly talked himself into the book as he wanted a foul called.
Oh - cleared off the line by Lescott there - nearly a second goal by Villa.
A clash between the MUFC Academy and LUFC Academy as Fletch pushes down Delph. Nothing called.
Cardiff have gone 0-1 up through Manga.
Lovely jubbly - Boro have taken the lead against Evil Millwall. That will keep them rooted in the bottom three where they belong.
Agbon in the thick of it again as he seems to be benefitting from the route one tactics.A headed pass and a similar position to the goal, but Lescott was there in the nick of time to clear his goal bound effort.
Absolutely . A win vs the Tractor Boys tomorrow will help too.
Hudders tie it up at Brentford while Bristol City are having a better rid eon the Orient Express as they have come from behind to lead 1-2. Preston take the lead vs Donny.
Agbon is really in the mood this evening. If he is more often then Villa may escape the trap door.
Someone needs to be - Benteke has just been trundling about looking uninterested most of the season.
Middlesbrough are now two up vs the Evil Lions while Evil Cardiff are two up at Rotherham United.
He assisted on the goal, so he did something right for the first time in ages.
No nonsense defending by Okore on Berahino. That's to be expected after the comic defending early in the match
The Fake Dons take the lead vs Chesterfield while Daggenham do the same vs Jeff's team. Bury take the lead vs Luton.
UWS will not be pleased that Northampton have taken the lead vs Pompey.
I would love to see that but Ipswich are a top six side, so no guarantees.
Evil Cardiff are now three up at Rotherham
Crikey - Cardiff have scored two quick goals and are 0-3 up before half time at Rotherham!
I agree, but at least it's worth a try . It should be a great atmosphere at ER.
A Baggies short free kick has to be retaken and Tony Pubis is livid while Mark Clattenburg explains why.,
Charlton are 2-1 up now - Bulot with the latest goal.
Charlton have taken a 2-1 lead vs Forest
Tim Sherwood is getting a right old workout this afternoon as he hops up and down for every Villa chance.
My last class is getting ready to start. It was great chatting with you., I should be around for the second half tomorrow.
CHEERS MATE!
Villa go in 1-0 up from Gabby Ag's goal but would probably have liked to have had two or three for comfort. Well poised for the second half now.
I'm back near the end of this one and see that Berahino has equalized for the Baggies. It's 1-1 at Villa Park. That moves Villa back down to 23 points perilously above QPR who have two matches in hand.
Gabby Ag is coming off now to a nice ovation. Weimann is coming on to replace him.
Hull and Sunderland are also drawing 1-1 after an equalizer by Jack Rodwell in the 77th minute. Not really good enough for either side who will remain 15th and 16th respectively.
Southampton have scored late on - a huge one there for them that moves them temporarily above Liverpool again into 5th. The Reds play relegation favorites Burnley tomorrow afternoon.
Boro have really put Millwall to the sword this evening - 3-0!
A shocker in the Championship with Derby going down to Brighton 2-0. That's going to allow Boro to reclaim the top spot in the Championship.
I'm off home, lads - Cheerio!
