Matchday 5 Wednesday in the Champions League
It's a Manchester Wednesday in the Champions League with United hosting PSV at OT while Citeh are at Juve , who made it to the final last May. It's simple for United . Win and they are through to the knockout stages. Otherwise, they will need to get a result in Germany on the final matchday. Citeh and Juve are already through, but Citeh will be looking for response after being thrashed by Liverpool at the Etihad on Saturday. Join me for the pre- Thanksgiving action. United are on FS1 and Citeh are on FS2.

The teams are out on the pitch at both OT and a very chilly Turin
Wolfsburg won 0-2 earlier today at CSKA Moscow to go top of Group B and advance to the round of 16. United will join them with a win vs PSV and regain top spot in Group B
Benfica made a marathon trip to Kazakhstan and it finished Desmond at Astana. Astana cannot advance to the round of sixteen . Benfica remain top pending the result of Athletico vs Gala
They're off from Turion then 20 seconds later from OT
Nice long diagonal pass from Darmian to Matial, who had a pass cut out for a corner. That was taken short passed back to De Gea. Rather annoying.,
PSV will not be popular with United fans since their away kit is like Citeh's home kit.

A comedy of errors for Citeh, who were on the attack. Yaya whiffed and Pogba, the former United player ran the length of the pitch , riding some pathetic challenges. He found Aleksandro down the left and his cross was volleyed at the far post by Mandzukic , who lost his marker, Otamendi
United should have taken the lead. A nice pass from Roon and a nice dummy from Martial ran to Lingard, who miss controlled with just the keeper to beat
HArt superbly turns a volley from Mandzukic around the post.
OH! Schneiderlin was un marked ion the six yard box and scuffed a volley off a corner from Blind that was easily saved by the keeper. The corner resulted from a cross from Rojo that was cut out by Brenet

PSV starting to attack. De Gea made a comfortable save from Hendrix, presumably not Jimmy then Hector Moreno headed wide from a corner from Fellow Mexican , Andres Guardado.
Kung Fu Panda should have given United the lead. The ball broke to him off some ping pong after a one between Roon and Memphis. He shot at the keeper with just the keeper to beat. A minute later , the PSV keeper got away with a slip from a back pass.
Pig Stick was called for a foul on the PSV keeper as a United corner was headed on.
Halftime and Juve are one up, but rode their luck with a horrible back pass that Buffon did well to block from Aguero. A minute of stoppage time from OT

The keepr saved a near post effort from Kung Fu Panda and PSV countered from the resulting corner. Roon got away without a booking for a shocking challenge as the ref played the advantage and must have forgotten about the foul

Real are one up in Shakhtar thanks to a headed goal by Skippy from a yard out as Monkey crossed past the on rushing keeper.

Lingard had a free header in the six yard box and headed wide off a nice cross from Kung Fu Panda.
Great pass from Smalling to Memphis , who swept past Brouma , but his effort from the D was easily saved by the keeper.

Jesse Lingard misses a sitter. Blind played a superb long diagonal to Yashley and his first time pass was deflected to Lingard , who shot over from six yards out.
Evra, who played in a fair number of Manc Derbies, is on for Alex Sandro , who assisted on the goal vs Citeh
Sterling misses a sitter for Citeh as he shoots wide with just Buffon to beat. Fernando played De Bruyne down the right and his superb pass was diverted wide by Sterling.

Jesse Lingard is a lucky boy as he's only booked for throwing a left hook at Arias, after being held back. It's over at OT as United are frustratingly held 0-0 by PSV and the hopes of advancing hang by a thread.

All United had to do was win at home and they would have been in the knock out stages.

I don't care that United are second in the league and could go top with a boring win on Saturday, they are the most boring team I can remember playing at Old Trafford.

After he was kicked out the door for being a naughty boy, Sexton came in and they weren't as swashbuckling. He made a cup final and ended his career with 7 straight wins but they weren't done the United way so he was out the door.
In came Big Ron and then Sir Alex... teams went out to WIN every game. Even under Moyes, United went out to win
