Back to the Prem
Hurrah! After an interminable international break, we're back to the Prem this morning. Everything starts extra early today with Chelski and the Foxes kicking off at the Bridge at 7:30am EST. That's followed by the usual kick-offs at 10am, including games featuring Arsenal, Spurs and Citeh. I'll look forward to chatting with you this morning.

Good morning, Bob. it's great to be up chatting with you. Did you see my FB post?
Morning, MUR - nice post of FB there. Great to have you on board.
The teams are out on the pitch in this interesting duel between two Italian managers.
The teams coming out at the Bridge now:
Chelsea (3-4-3) Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso; Pedro, Diego Costa, Hazard.
Substitutes: Begovic, Aina, Terry, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Batshuayi, Solanke.
Leicester (4-4-2) Schmeichel; Hernández, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs; Albrighton, Drinkwater, Amartey, Schlupp; Musa, Vardy.
Substitutes: Zieler, King, Simpson, Slimani, Gray, Ulloa, Mahrez.
Referee Mr Andre Marriner.
Cheers, mate. Great to be chatting with you. The latest rumor is that Antonio Conte is in danger of being sacked.
They're off from SB.
Kante getting booed by the travelling Foxes fans.
We're away at the Bridge, Leicester wearing red perhaps as a tribute to the recently deceased Thai king.
I was hearing all week about Conte's job at risk. I think he's got a bit more time.
I agree. The Conte rumor surprised me. I heard that as their reason for wearing red.
The Foxes have not traveled well, losing all their away games. Home form is still decent.
Oh - Kasper had to claw that near post effort by Moses around the post for an early corner.
Kapser is forced to push over a deflected cross from Moses, who attempted to part the Red Sea.
GOAL !!!COSTA GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD OFF THE CORNER.
GOAL! Costa scores an easy goal from the resulting corner, with shocking defending from the Foxes.
1-0 Chelski!
Seven Prem goals for Costa from 8 matches - great strike record. He's top of the pops.
Matic back heeled the corner to an unmarked Costa, who scored from three yards out at the far post. Wes Morgan was guilty of losing his marker.
Agreed. Donald Trump could only wish to emulate Diego Costa.
A long ball comes off of Fuchs for a Chelsea corner.
Albrighton clears a poor corner from Hazard. Morgan's poor marking sure was one.
One way traffic so far for the Blues. The Foxes seem stunned.
MAcos Alonso wins a corner off of Hernandez after Danny Drinkwater coughed up the ball. I guess it was a goal kick
Albrighton clears a pass from Alonso for a Chelsea corner.
Wes Morgan should have know better than to leave Costa unmarked. I've seen better marking by Donald Trump.
It’s probably no coincidence that, when the last surprise champions Leeds and Blackburn endured miserable title defences, their away form was shocking. It looks like Leicester’s season will follow a similar pattern.
I agree. I expect a mid table finish from them.
Hazard failed to make a good connection off a great pass from Kante and it was easily gathered by Kasper.
Hi Boys
What a bummer about Costa and his goal...can't stand him
I will be around for a bit of the morning but I am then off to Siena and then Keene State In New Hampshire for Matt's last game of this season.
I won't be around for the big one on Monday either because of my school day going later this year. What a bummer
Good morning, UWS. I wish Matt well in his last match of the season. I will need to record the Monday match as well.
The Chelsea dominance continues. Vardy and Musa haven’t been in the game at all.
Morning, UWS - sounds like a busy fall weekend for you and the boys. Enjoy!
Agreed. Ranieri would do well to bring on Islam Slimani to begin the second half, so they can utilize his size and strength.
I won't bother taping the match
I think United are going to get walloped
They won't be able to handle the pace. It's the way I want United to play
David Luis to shoot...off the woodwork
Sideshow is behind a free kick here. Could go anywhere. Oh - against the post!!
A free kick for the Blues about 25 yards out. The Sideshow to take.,. OH!!! He curls int and it crashes off the post.
I agree. I expect a comfortable win for Pool on Monday on their way to a league title.
Surely Liverpool are weak enough at the back to allow United some chances, right?
That was a good point you made about Leeds and Blackburn defenses of their titles
The free kick was better than the attempted bicycle kick.
Problem is United are weak at the back
Half hour mark here - Chelski in total control. Tony will be happy with this one.
Liverpool have crushed Arsenal and Chelsea away
Thanks, mate - I pull out a pearl of wisdom now and again.
I think UWS gave a perfect explanation as to why Pool will comfortably defeat United.
Morgan heads away a free kick from Marcos Alonso.
Not sure if BIRTHDAY BOY Is that committed to Chelsea these days
Sideshow has taken a knock - cue John Terry's warm up.
Is it Tone's birthday today? Marvelous!
Robert Huth is called for hand ball on his return to SB.
Two nil
Bugger
GOAL !!! HAZARD PUTS CHELSEA TWO UP.
GOAL! A bit fortunate there with the ricochet for Hazard who was left one on one with Kasper, rounds him and slots home.
2-0!
Leicester's rotten away form continues here....
This could get rough for the Champs
I didn't think they'd win it again but I did and hopes they would be decent
More comical defending from the Foxes as two players failed to deal with a routine pass from Matic. Costa lost his balance, but was still able to pick out HAzard , who rounded Kasper and easily scored.
Birthday Boy says he doesn't really follow the Blues. He like them in the late 60s and early 70s with Osgood and co
He like the first Jose term but not so much
Agreed. More away day blues for the Foxes.
From Tony
Don't like the way the club is run . Fed up with them . I'll keep the name for now though.
A very Happy birthday to Chelskilad.
Jamie Vardy failed to make a clean connection off a pass from Danny Hernandez after a great cross field pass from Drinkwater,
Victor Moses concedes a corner to the Foxes.
Tony says thank you
Albrighton takes and the ball pings around and out for take two.
Courtois punches away the next corner.
Costa goes down too easily off a challenge from Albrighton and Chelsea have another free kick.
He also says
I support Mourinho , Klopp , etc .
I said that has to be illegal
Kasper two fists a swerving, powerful free kick from the Side Show.
Perfectly fine for the birthday boy, IMHO.
I just don't know why Ranieri would rest players for this match, even if he does have a CL match coming up. Why concede the title this early on?
Ahmed Musa heads well wide off a cross from Danny Hernandez.
I'm off for a half-time snuggle with the missus. Back in a tick.
I agree unless he's making the CL priority this season.
Cheers, mate. Have a great halftime break.
A minute of stoppage time.
Chelsea is two up at the half , which they totally dominated.
The second half is underway from SB.
And nearly a penalty within the first few seconds of the second half. Leicester are going with a back three - no other changes.
Pedro appeals for a penalty, claiming hand ball by Huth, who blocked his shot. Andre Marriner waves play on.
Welcome back. I hope you had a great halftime break.
Andre MArriner denies Schlupp a penalty as he ran into Victor Moses.
Azpi booked for a foul from behind on Musa.
Albrighton wins a corner off of Alonso off a long ball.
Oh - Moses is played in by Kante and he hits it first time. Good save by Kasper.
The corner from Albrighton is headed away then cleared as former player, Kante, leads a counter and picks out Moses, whose shot is saved with just Kasper to beat.
Ranieri msut have given the players the SAF treatment and have responded with a better second half performance.
Better from Leicester in this half. If they got one back and brought on Mahrez it would be game on.
OH!!!! Off the post by the Side show. Hos own post off a pass from ALbrighton.
Absolutely. They say that two nil is a dangerous score. Is that true?
Just a s the doc ordered. A double substitution as the French Foreign legion is about to come on.
It's Slimani for Musa and Mahrez for Schlupp. I agree with those changes.
Nat Chalobah, one of the few players to graduate from the Chelsea Academy, is on for Pedro.
Two changes for Leicester now - Mahrez and Slimani coming on. Why did they wait so long?
Looks like Diego Costa is calling for a swap as well. Not sure what the problem is.
Is Diego Costa asking to be substituted?
Oh - Kante looked sure to score but for a terrific block by Morgan.
OH!!! Kapser pushes away a pass from Costa and then Wes Morgan spectacularly blocks from Kante for a Chelsea corner.
The final roll of the dice from Claudio as King is on for Albrighton.
Kapser does well to turn around a deflected effort from Costa
The corner from Moses is cleared by Amarty for another.
The next corner is cleared then Danny Drimkwater fouls HAzard after a hospital pass from Slimani
GOAL! Moses scores after a wonderful team move.
3-0!
GOAL !!!! VICTOR MOSES PARTS THE RED SEA AS HE PUTS CHELSEA THREE UP AS HE PLAYED A ONE TWO WITH CHALOBAH . NICE BACK HEEL FROM THE CHELSEA YOUNGSTER
The one-two with the teenager Chalobah was brilliant there. Moses really enjoyed that one.
Off goes Hazard now.
Another Chelsea Academy grad is on as Ruben Loftus- Cheeky is on for Hazard
And Moses is replaced by another Chelsea academy grad on the final roll of the dice for Conte.
Conte pulling out all the kids now that the win is wrapped up.
All three Chelsea subs are young English graduates of the Chelsea academy. Are you pleased about that?
No kidding, mate. The Foxes have been taught a lesson.
Drinkater has a shot deflected for a corner that is taken by Mahrez and headed out by Chalobah for another.
The next one is taken short and headed away and now Chelsea counter, but is comes to naught.
Three minutes of stoppage time.
Stoppage time now - in truth this one was over as soon as Wes Morgan lost sight of Diego Costa for that opening goal. It's been all Chelski since then.
It's over as Chelsea win 3-0 and the away day blues continue for the Foxes.
Back after a yummy jalapeño and cheddar bagel for more action. Which match are you going to watch, mate?
A lot of chat between the Robbies about Bob Bradley's first match as a Premiership manager. Bradley's Swansea are away to Arsenal today - tough start to his career in Wales.
Leeds are away to Derby this morning - I've got the MOT blasting as usual.
I'll be watching the match from the Etihad. Here is the team news:
Manchester City Bravo; Otamendi, Stones, Clichy; Gundogan, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva; Sane, Iheanacho, Sterling
Everton Stekelenburg; Coleman, Jagielka, Williams, Oviedo; Barry, Gana, Cleverley; Deulofeu, Bolasie, Lukaku
Really irritated that Sergio Aguero is being rested for the CL. How am I supposed to get points for his goalscoring.
Away we go - Citeh in their traditional sky blue and Everton in some yellow and blue away number.
I'm back for the 10 AMers . Citeh vs the Toffees on NBCSN and the Gunners vs the Swans on CNBC
An historic day as Bob Bradley is the first American to manage in the top flight of English footie. An extremely risky appointment, IMHO. A publicity stunt?
Sorry about Aguero, but you will remain top f Citeh defeats the Toffees.
Iwobi wins a corner as the Bradley era is off to a shaky start
The corner from Caz is headed away
Fleetwood MAc sing their way to an early lead vs Posh Spice. Cheltenham are off to the races in an early lead vs Crawley
The comedy of the afternoon: Charlton v Coventry has been delayed because immediately upon kick-off 3,000 pink plastic pigs were let out on to the pitch by both team’s supporters. Neither are too happy with their club’s owners:
The Cherries take an early lead vs the Tigers. Charlie Daniels with the goal;
Noted country fiddler Charlie Daniels has scored early on for the Cherries. Bournemouth are 1-0 up over Hull within 5 minutes.
LOL. that's probably more entertaining than the performance put out by the players
Barrow wins a corner off of Kos on a Swans break
Barnsley take the lead vs Cottagers on an unsettling road trip for Bob and Kate.
Sane went down under Oviedo's challenge - nothing doing from the ref.
Leroy Sane went down looking for a Citeh penalty and being told to get up.
LOL! Kate is amused by being part of this conversation.
A corner from Ozil is headed off the top of the bar by international teammate, Mutafi that beat former Gunners keeper Flappy, who was dong that
Joe Allen has also scored early on for Stoke against the hapless Black Cats. Is Fred hiding under the bed?
Glad to include Kate. We are very inclusive.
Goals in the second tier: Marley Watkins hands Barnsley the lead against Fulham after four minutes, while Preston lead at Brighton through Jordan Hugill and Ciaran Clark has nudged Newcastle in front at home to Brentford.
No. He is bird watching form the bedroom window. He is more than a wee bit preoccupied. Sparky also bird watching
Bolton take the lead vs Oldham in the third tier in a local derby.
All Citeh pressure so far. Sterling wins a great free kick chance.
Ginger Winger knocks it straight into the wall. Shame.
De Bruyne into the wall then Oviedo concedes a Citeh corner.
The Toffees eventually clear the danger
The latest news out of South Wales is that Swansea fans would like Bob Bradley to be replaced by his namesake Milton. Your thoughts?
Stecks easily saves a deflected effort from Sterling
The Toon go two up vs the Bees , the Canaries take the lead vs Rotherham, and JFHs lads take the lead vs Jaap Stam's lads. Sounds like double Dutch to me.
No goals yet at the Emirates in Bob Bradley's debut - I hope he does well at Swansea.
Jaap Stam's lads tie it up at JFH's lads.
Me too. I would hate for him to be replaced by Milton Bradley
Celtic take the lead vs Motherwell.
GOAL !!! THE GUNNERS TAKE THE LEAD ON BOB BRADLEY'S DEBUT
Comical defending by Amat as Alexis Theo found Alexis, whose cross was headed on by Bellerin and Amat gifted Theo an easy tap in
Oh dear - will Swansea fans Boo Bradley after the match.
(Boom boom for the To Kill a Mockingbird pun!....I'll get my coat)....
Alexis nearly puts the Gunners two up as he is just high and just wide with a chip.
You will not be pleased that the Evil Blades have taken the lead vs Port Vale. Walsall take the lead vs the Shrews.
A classic Gunners and Flappy blocks from Bellerin for a Gunners corner and
GOAL !!!! THEO PUTS THE GUNNERS TWO UP FROM THE CORNER.
Once again, a goal gifted to Theo by a central defender as Amat headed on the corner straight to Theo who smashed in from close range
Will Bob Bradley have nightmares about Theo or his central defenders?
The Gooner must be chuckling about the appointment of Bob Bradley
Grimsby take the lead at Cambridge while Argyle take the lead vs Pompey. Jeff's lads trail at Carlisle.
Mason has leveled the scores at Bournemouth.
GOAL !!!! SIGGY SCORES WITH A SPECTACULAR FINISH AFTER PICKING XAKHA KHAN'S POCKET. THE FIRST GOAL OF THE BOB BRADLEY ERA AND THE FIRST BY A TEAM MANAGES BY AN AMERICAN IN THE ENGLISH TOP FLIGHT.
Gooner, dad, and Simon will not be pleased.
Game on at the Etihad!
SAF is at the Etihad watching Citeh vs the Toffees. Is he on scouting duty?
Penalty to Citeh - Jags upends Silva.
The Cottagers tie it up at Barnsley . It seems that Bob and Kate are more settled after a shaky start to their road trip.
In Aguero's absence, it's Ginger Winger to take....
And it's saved brilliantly by Stekelenberg!
Stecks save the penalty from De Bruyne. WOW! What a save. Now the Toffees counter off a Citeh corner.
Now the Cherries have a penalty!
One last chance for Citeh in this half. I'm disappointed that they aren't 2-0 up.
Two minutes of stoppage time at the Etihad and at the EM.
Now 3-1 to the Cherries.
Junior Stanislas calmly strokes the ball down the middle after Robert Snodgrass had clearly fouled Callum Wilson.
3-1 Bournemouth!
And that's half-time at the Etihad. 0-0. Don't like it.
It's 0-0 at the half at the EM and
The Gunners lead 2-1 at the half.
Stoke are two up vs the Black Cats at the half. Wee Joe with both goals.
Bob and Kate have a passenger in the backseat as it's Desmond between Barnsley and the Cottagers. Nice of you two to give the Bishop a lkift
Back on at the Etihad - I need a goal to stay at the top of the PPP charts.
The second half is underway from the Etihad while Bob Bradley is in deep discussion with his coaching staff prior to the second half kicking off at the EM
It's still 0-0 at the Ricoh Stadium between Derby and Leeds.
I typed about you and Kate giving Desmond a ride. Very kind if I may say so.
How boring is La Liga? Barca are 3-0 up at half-time to Deportivo. (yawn)....
We have pictures of a young Kate in a tutu as well.
The bad guys are doing well as the Evil Blades are two up vs Port VAle, the Evil Lions have taken the lead at Northants, and the Evil Dons are in the lead at Scunny
Great memories.
Bravo tips over a shot from former Barca teammate, Delafeu. The Toffees first corner of the match.
Argyle tie it up at Fratton PArk
Hull City appear to be wearing a lavender away kit today? What is going on with these different kits?
Stecks saves from Ihenacho.
Desmond is dropped off at his destination as the Cottagers take a 2-3 lead at Barnsley. That's quite a trip for you and Kate.
Not surer about those kits , but they are really awful.
Wahay! Here comes my boy Sergio to the rescue. Let's have a hat-trick, mate!
Everton also make a change - Delafeu off and McCarthy on.
You will be pleased to see Aguero on for Ihenacho. James McCarthy is on for Delafeu. A defensive move by Fat Ronny.
GOAL !!!OZIL SCORES WITH A ROCKET OF A VOLLEY OFF A CROSS FROM ALEXIS. FLAPPY LET IT IN AT HIS NEAR POST. THE GUNNERS LEAD 3-1.
The Toon lead the Bees 3-1.
The Seagulls tie it up vs PNE
