We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!
Sad news yesterday of the passing of Elland Road legend Gary Sprake. As Sergeant Wilko mentions in this clip from a documentary about Sprake's time at Leeds, Gary was often caricatured as a bit of joke, a keeper prone to widely-televised howlers. However, the reality is that he was one of the best in the business. He'll be missed.
