Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Premiership Plus Predictions Game - Week 12 Update

Afternoon, chaps - I'm checking in as usual with the weekly update of our PPP Game. After the latest interminable international break, it was a relief to get back to our normal footer schedules this weekend. After a furious weekend of action (which is still ongoing; WBA leading Burnley 2-0 in a dead rubber of a match this evening), Chelski are on top after pipping Soton yesterday afternoon, with yet another goal from their high-flying top scorer Diego Costa (now on double-digits for the season). That means that Red Devil 1FCK, our only friend to pick the Blues for the title, benefits to the tune of 10 points.

At the bottom, Bob Bradley's Swansea woes continue - they're now rock bottom, as Sunderland picked up points. Newcastle won away at Elland Road (sigh) and continue at the top of the Championship. And the real shocker is RB Leipzig (who?) rising to the top of the Bundesliga - so that's two points off for all of us who picked Bayern to be champions of Germany. All of this means that the youngster Red Dragon remains on top this week and his younger bruvver The Saint is in second.

So here are the standings after 12 rounds of the Premier League, ahead of the CL action this week.

1. The Red Dragon -  40 points
2. The Saint - 36 pts
3. Red Devil 1FCK - 31 pts
4. United We Stand - 30 pts
-  Yellows - 30 pts
6. Blue Devil - 29 pts
-  Someone Said - 29 pts
8. What's Up Wheaton Simon - 28 pts
9. Man Utd Rules - 27 pts
10. Gooner71 - 26 pts
11. Swansong - 22 pts
12. West Ham Rising - 21 pts
