Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I'll be in and out depending on trade volume here.
Templeton skips through and is clawed down by Reina. Most assured penalty stroked high into the net by Lalala. 1-0 England! Get-in!
You can kind of tell that this is a friendly on the back of a competitive qualifier in that both sides are not trading the rough stuff. Biscuits just allowed Lindegard thru when you just know every synapse in his body was screaming for a juddering intervention.
And of course right after I say that, Lalala is left sprawling by a late and nasty boot from Thiago. Theo on for him and Lalala gingerly under his own power straight to the treatment room. Godspeed Theo.
Couple of nice moments including a real chance when Sterling was put through nicely after a 1-2 exchange and then crossed the ball just, but just ahead of I think Theo who would have had a tap-in
BTW, Spain have looked quiet but composed. The very definition of calm before the storm. They're defending well with a real intent of not allowing further damage this half so that they can come out renewed in the second.
Jags for Cahill and Tom Heaton on for Hart. Does anyone else look at Heaton and be reminded of Robert Green? It's the set of his eyes when he's concentrated. It's disconcerting.
Theo races away and is denied at the last by Nacho. Good intent shown.
Koke and Aspias as he's known at home on for Mata and somebody else for the second half.
Tmepleton! Henderson loops a mis-hit cross and Templeton is first to head it in. 2-0 England.
It offends me to tell you that Templeton and Theo then did a mannequin celebration that left them looking like two knobs. Bring back the Drake dab already.
The next attack leaves Theo a pretty open net and his shot is cleared away. Bury that one Theo!
Danny Rose, HUH! What is he good for, absolutely nothing, say it again.
He's on a yellow for as clumsy a tackle as you'll ever see, and twice now it's fallen to him to just pick out the open Vardy on the back post. And he's hit it sharply both times at the keeper instead. Is he really the best left-back England can produce?
Ander Herrera on for Thiago now. Ugh.
Herrera and Rose with the handbags over whether Rose should be holding onto the ball when the Spanish want to take their free quickly. Where's a nice big sinkhole when you need one?
Spain asking questions now. Lindgard however nearly thru, but runs out of pitch to run into.
Gareth pictured writing something down and I hope it's "work with defenders to stop heading clearances to the opposition."
Morata and very beardy bloke on for Silva and not-so-beardy bloke. Spain demonstrating a little more intent.
Townsend for Sterling now.
Morata assumes he's offside and passes the ball to Heaton. He wasn't and new beardy bloke is letting him know.
Rashford for Templeton. Good day out for him TBF.
Aspas gets a yellow for manhandling the lino who was blocking the throw. Should have been a red. Lucky Aspas.
Sid Lowe goes on and on and on about Isco who has been a complete non entity. Real Madrid manager won't have any qualms about freezing him out of the starting team.
An embarrassing 8 minutes for England.
First, we get caught in attack, lose the ball and it falls to Morata and he thumps it past Heaton in the 89th.
Then Dyer goes down for God-knows-what but when he recovers, the ref signals to the 4th official to add time for his time-wasting. The board goes up for 5 minutes of added time.
Spain pepoer our goal 3 times, close things each time, only for bloody Isco who seriously was anonymous to fire home a shot that Heaton has to stop, has to stop.
That's Spain equal and then you know the rest. Peep-Peep-Peep! We were ahead 89 bloody minutes against Spain FFS. Unbelievable.
Thanks for keeping the home fires burning today, mate. In the end, I just had too much going on to follow it.
Very frustrating. But these friendlies are a bit of waste, really.
