Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Afternoon, chaps - both these teams are sitting pretty precariously in their respective league positions, Palace poised two places above the bottom three, Arsenal two places below the top four. But both teams have two games in hand over the teams occupying 18th (Swansea) and 4th (Manchester City). Win both of those games and Arsenal will be one point shy of City. Win one of theirs and you suspect Palace have probably done enough to secure their Premier League status for another year. A lot of riding on this game.
The teams now out on the pitch at Selhurst Park:
Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Kelly, Sakho, Schlupp, Milivojevic, Cabaye, Zaha, Puncheon, Townsend, Benteke.
Subs: Speroni, Flamini, McArthur, Fryers, KaiKai, Sako, Delaney.
Arsenal: Martinez, Bellerín, Mustafi, Gabriel, Monreal, Xhaka, Elneny, Walcott, Özil, Welbeck, Sánchez.
Subs: Gibbs, Mertesacker, Ramsey, Giroud, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coquelin, Macey.
Man in black: Michael Oliver (Northumberland)
Peeeeeeeeep! And we’re off.
I've got a nice stream going through the NBC SN website. Lovely.
Welbeck has looked bright up front for Arsenal so far. He’s got the nod tonight ahead of Giroud, who scored that scorpion kick against Palace earlier this season.
Oh - Welly was nearly in there after a lovely flick over his shoulder. Wins a corner.
GOAL! Townsend taps in after a lovely move from Palace.
1-0!
That goal was somewhat against the run of play but the Palace fans don't care. They're getting all "I Will Follow Him" after that Townsend strike.
Alexis bursts into the area and hits a low left footed shot. Saved well by Hennessey.
Mustafi picks up a yellow card there, more for the accumulation of fouls rather than the actual incident.
Cabaye was nearly in there but was ruled offside.
Coming down to the last few moments of the first half. A win here for Palace would be a real lifeline for Fat Sam's side. But it would be just about catastrophic for Arsenal's European hopes.
Let's be honest here - Arsenal have 45 minutes to rescue their season here. Even a point doesn't help much. They must win to have any chance of keeping up with the other sides aiming for European qualification.
I'm off home lads - have a great week!
