IT IS CUP FINAL DAY!!!
This used to my most favorite day of the year!! One of the only live games to be seen all year. Pre-game starting at 9:30 on BBC and ITV. I used to always watch the match on the Beeb but used to try and figure out which features to watch. Of course, it started with a reporter at the team's hotels. We were all on the coach trip to the stadium. The fans going crazy as they pulled up to the Twin Towers. Walking on the pitch... and then the match
Of course, there were all the features shown. I remember in '81 a boy went to the factory to make the Cup Final ball. No one every said anything but they had to replace ball after ten minutes!!!
Always looked forward to the Cup Final It's a Knockout or Question of Sport.
My first real memories started in '72 for the Arsenal Leeds final. In the '73 Final, they were at the team hotels talking to squad. Leeds were sitting like a team photo for the questions. Sunderland were lounging around on sofas and chairs.... We all know who won!
I remember the '75 Final when West Ham beat Fulham... I thought to myself... why can these teams make it and Man Utd hadn't made the Final in my life time! Well, they listened to me and made the next three out of four..sadly only winning one of them!
Now today, even in England there isn't much of a pre-game and with us it is on FOX at Noon with a 12:30 kick off

What are you first Cup Final memories?
What is your favorite Cup Final memory?
Of course my favorite memory is that diving header by Sniffer Clarke in May 1972 in one of the first matches I can remember watching live. The next May I was in tears, of course.
But beyond that, I remember the occasion. It felt like Christmas morning every year, waking up early and watching Football Focus, the Goals of the Season, the It's a Knockout Cup Final edition, Morecambe and Wise.
Someone should still do that traditional package with the players having breakfast, getting on the bus, traveling to Wemberly, the crowds, etc. How much would we pay for that on Pay Per View?

Correct. After Courtois caught the corner. He bowled the ball to Kante , who ran into Costa and lost the ball. Several passes later, the Gunners took the lead.
Costa responsible for the loss of possession that led to the goal and also seems to be a tad overawed by the occasion.
