Another Season Comes to an End
I always hated this day growing up. Footer was done for the whole summer. We had the Cup Final to look forward to and I always liked watching all the Test Matches but it wasn't the same. My Shoot and Match magazines were still there to read but no tables to look at.
Not much last day excitement to look forward to unlike 1999 and 2012. Pretty much everything is done and dusted except for the Champions League spots... sounds exciting.. except it looks all done there too. The two favorites, City and Pool, have very very winnable games against Watford and Bore respectively ....surely they won't give Arsenal a sniff
My lot have given up on the league long ago.. I HATE THAT! We will be playing a lot of no hopers for the Final... will United get a win at the Theater of Draws to end the season?
Will Kane win the Golden Boot after his four midweek?
Still some questions to answer!
NBC is fantastic showing all of the games... which one shall I watch? Which one will you watch?

Morning, UWS. Thanks for getting us going with a fantastic thread and some probing questions. We'll get the answers soon.
I'll probably watch the Arsenal on NBC - what about you lot?
Here's where everyone can be found

Beat me to it MUR
Good morning, Bob. I'm going to watch two matches on the telly, one on the computer, and one on Elizabeth's phone.
They will be : United vs Palace, Gunners vs Toffees, Foxes vs Cherries, and the Tigers vs the Spuds
Correct, UWS, but yours is much more professional and more legible.
Coverage is on NBC Sports Network now - presumably no coverage until kick off on the others.
Morning, MUR - it sounds as if you've given up on the Champions League race assuming that Liverpool will beat Boro.
Not sure which I will watch
Of course, United will #1 no matter how much they have infuriated me this season
I'm certainly not one to comment, but what on earth is going on with Kyle Martino's hair?!
Off to take Sparky walkies on an extremely humid and sticky morning
I'm interested to see if Harry Candy Kane wins the GBB. Thanks to that quadruple , I'm back in the PPP race. Thanks Harry!
As it stands, MUR, Someone Said and Simon are set to pick up six points for Harry Kane's Golden Boot. He's on 26 goals, as contrasted with Romelu Lukaku's 24 goals.
I have to have a look at Karl's hair. I have only just joined the show. I was watching the Premier League Download trip back to England that I had taped
Very entertaining
Will that change the PPP scenarios you sent earlier?
With what you sent before, If United win the EL and Nocito would win the Shield
Celtic have just wrapped up a 2-0 win and an undefeated league season
If they win the Cup , they will be undefeated domestically!
United's keeper #40!!
Romero is probably going to start in final...he shouldn't
why isn't De Gea playing
Could be his last chance before Real come a calling

Bob, what are Steve's thoughts on Arsenal?
What camp is he in? Wenger Out or In Wenger We Trust?
If he's in the first one, does he want the Gunners to make Top Four?
Win the Cup?
Surely he wants them to get both even if he's in Wenger Out club
I believe that the Nocitos need more than one win - they need a combination of FA Cup and Europa League.
Is it Wayne playing his last match for United
But... Tom and I have the opposite results for the Cup Final so one of us is guaranteed to get the Cup Final points AND then the EL
Steve's a Wenger Out guy - has been for at least a couple of seasons. He still wants Arsenal to win things this season but he'd like to see Arsene retire or moved upstairs to a Director of Football kind of role. He's not settled on a replacement, though.
Back from walkies and glad to be inside on a summer like morning.
That's right - if one or the other of you get the FA Cup win and EL win, you'll get the Shield. But one without the other won't be enough to make up the 9-11 points.
I told Elizabeth that the Claret and sky blue derby is on Oxygen because you need oxygen to get through that match.
Nice one, mate!
If the Gunners win the Cup then I think I will pip one of the Nocitos by a point and the other by two points. Is that correct?
Just finished a bang up pancake breakfast courtesy of Kate. A nice treat on "Championship Sunday."
Cheer, mate. I'm sure you're still reeling from the Evil Lions winning the L1 playoff Final 1-0 with Steve Bleedin' Morison getting the winner in the 85th minute. The last thing you wanted was the Evil Blades and Evil Lions added to the Championship!
So, a United win in the EL and a Nocito will win?
By my calculations, if everything stayed the same as it is today but Arsenal won the FA Cup and United won the Europa League, MUR would have 45 points and UWS would have 41 points. If Chelsea win the Cup and United win the EL, then Red Dragon would win the Shield with 40 points. If Chelsea win and Ajax win the EL, then the Shield goes to Red Devil on 39 points.
MUR also needs Harry Kane to win the GBB; you'd like to see Romelu Lukaku get crocked early doors today.
How have things changed so much from your last email?
So I don't have a shot then
Got The Tigers vs the SPuds on the computer
The Gunners vs the Toffees on Elizabeth's phone
United vs Palace and the Foxes vs the Cherries on the telly
Just had a couple of lovely crumpets delivered to me by Kathy
Lovely Jubbley
Rebecca Lowe desperately trying to pump some drama into this day.
Harry Kane's goals in midweek have put MUR back into the picture.
They're off in the season finale!
United win a quick corner... fails to beat the first man
Palace go down the other end... they almost get a great chance
Should have shot
Wasabi blocks a close range effort from Paddy Van Arnholt as Palace attack at Ot
It's all Arsenal so far - streaming forward through Bellerin.
The Gunners attack and it ends in a horrible cross
The Cherries take the lead at the KP
My guess would still be that Chelsea wins the Cup and United win the EL - I can't see Arsenal beating Chelsea on recent form. That would mean advantage Nocitos boys.
Liverpool wearing the new kit
It is a red that reminds me of their mid 70s kit... deeper red
Bournemouth get the first goal of the day at the deposed Champions
Zaha fouled by one of the school boys on his return to OT
Vincent Kompany has put City into the lead at Watford.
Some of the United youngsters look quite good
The bloke on the left looks quick and strong... although short
Zaha getting fouled by two school boys as he's getting the treatment on his return to OT
The Black Cats take a surprise lead at SB
So, now it is down to two... Pool or Arsenal
Sunderland take the lead at the Champs!!
GOAL !!! BELLERIN GIVES THE GUNNERS THE LEAD
GOAL! Bellerin slips in at the backpost for a nice follow-in.
1-0 Gunners. Now they just need help from Boro.
As it stands, Liverpool are out of the top four
At least there are some goals around...not at Old Trafford of course
Jose has nothing to lose...why not go out and entertain
Great team goal as a poor clearance from Tom Davies resulted in a pass from Ozil that Wellie back heeled and Bellerin smashed in from two yards out
As it stands, Arsenal would be in the Champions League.
GOAL !!!! GUESS WHO SCORES FOR THE SPUDS!
Rooney almost in
Great long pass
Great control
lobs it on to the top of the net
of course, I'm watching United not trying
I agree with Davie Prutton that the Tigers defense failed to deal with the Spuds. Similar to the last two Harry scored at the KC from just outside the box off a pass from Eriksen that started with the high press.
Chelsea ties it up
Oh dear! Koz has been sent off - Arsenal down to ten men!
YES!!
HARROP WITH A GREAT GOAL!!
HE HAS BEEN SO IMPRESSIVE!!
GOAL !!! HARRY KANE WITH A DOUBLE IN TWO MINUTES AS THE SPUDS GO TWO UP. A LONG DIAGONAL FROM DIER WAS VOLLEYED ACROSS THE BOX BY TRIPPIER AND TAPPED IN AT THE FAR POST BY HARRY
Koz is sportingly seeing if Valencia is okay now, but he'll need to walk in a moment.
Very impressed!!
nice pass by Pogpants
Just wide by Harry Kane as he nearly had a hat-trick
Well, that's the GBB done and dusted. Kane on 28 goals now. The Chunk would need five goals against Arsenal now.
Is Coz out of the Cup Final?
Wow - that should have been a second red card there for Xhaka Khan there as he pulled back Valencia. They'll need to settle down now.
Young Josh Harrop looked like a veteran with that cut in and superb finish. Superb long pass by Pogs with the outside of the foot. Where was that all season?
Not sure.
Chelsea tie it up vs the Black Cats.
YES!!
TWO NIL!!
POGBPANT!!
United attack with pace
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
POGS PUTS UNITED TWO UP
Make me love you Paul... score a brace on Wednesday...cough cough .... feeling sick for Wed
Agreed, UWS. United won a tackle just outside the box . Lindy went on a speedy solo run and passed to Pogs , who scored with a great finish
The future looks bright for United.
BBC just said that he is out of the Cup Final
Citeh take the lead at Vicarage Road.
Gooners now baying for blood every time there's an Everton tackle.
Liverpool could have given away a pen!!
Nothing given
They must be having kittens at Anfield
I thought Citeh were already assured CL footer.
Barkley being lectured by Fat Ronnie, presumably asking him what he learned at ER?
Are Boro looking good?
No, if they lose and Arsenal and Pool win with a goal swing too
Citeh two up at Vicarage Road.
Barkley learned nowt at Elland Road. Never got a sniff.
I think it is backs to the wall stuff but breaking
Citeh looked to have cemented third place and automatic qualification for the group stage.
Why is Barkley coming on so early for Davies?
How did Palace not score there!
A decent corner(will wonders never cease) right inside six... eludes everyone
Thanks, MUR - that's what I thought.
Who is on top at the Em?
Barkley on for young Tom Davies, who made the defensive error that led to the Gunners goal. An early substitution
GOAL! Alexis scores the second - was Welly not offside?
GOAL !!! THE GUNNERS GO TWO UP VS THE TOFFEES
Arsenal two up
Burnley one up
Definitely Arsenal on top now, despite the man advantage for Everton.
Goals everywhere except for places you'd think of no goals
Soton Stoke
Swansea WBA
Alexis now tied with The Chunk on 24 goals, both four behind Kane.
Hammers tie it up in the battle of claret and blues
Looking at the replay , I thought Wellie looked level when he got the ball off the blocked shot, then passed for Alexis for an easy tap in. Great twenty pass move off a Toffees corner.
Sam "bloody" Vokes with the opener at Turf Moor. West Ham are dire!
Thankfully, I'm not watching those two .
Barkley appears to be perming his hair and then shaving it up the sides. It looks as if he's got a cake on top of his head.
This more like it with United
That Harrop boy looks really good
Skillful
quick
not overawed
Oh - Alexis nearly gets his second by whipping a free kick in. Joel scrambles it behind.
I will gain an extra point if the Gunners finish fourth. That probably won change too much
ooh, almost gets his second
John Terry has gone off injured with the whole Chelsea side giving him an honor guard off the pitch. Is this his last appearance for the Blues?
If Pool fail to defeat Boro then they don't deserve to be in the CL. Still a lot of footie to play.
Yes - the Arsenal position adds or subtracts a point to several players. But the main event is the two cup finals.
I would think so. JT is not up to the pace of the Prem any longer. MLS would be a great choice for him.
If Arsenal were to finish fourth and win the Cup - successful season for them?
Similarly, if United win the Europa, qualify for the CL and have also won the League Cup - successful season for Mou and co.?
John Terry was substituted at the 26th minute mark...his shirt number!
How gaff
Garth Crooks isn't a fan
I don't know what to make of it, quite frankly.
This isn't Hollywood, it's a Premier League fixture. I'm a bit bemused, this has been set up. I'm uncomfortable with it.
It's a guard of honour in the middle of a game.
Number One Son has shot superbly saved from David Marshall.
Where's he going to get his Eel Pie for his Sunday dinner in the States?
Ridiculous United only get 10,000 tickets for Wednesday
PS.. I want to start this side
Crooksy makes a good point.
Yes - the Guardian has corrected itself - Terry wasn't injured; it was arranged. Really odd.
The Baggies take the lead at the Vetch Field.
City Three up
WBA one up
only scoreless at St Marys
Spot on, Crooksy.
The Hammers tie it up through Feghouli.
Very refreshing...United getting the ball and running straight at the defense
Sergio Aguero has been a real disappointment for me this season. I won't make that mistake again.
Surely, Mattzari is about to walk the plank. The Hornets quit playing as soon as they reached forty points.
Arsenal really under the cosh now - I can't believe that they haven't conceded.
Rooney sucks
Mattzari has already been told he's done at Vicarage Road
City four nil!!
Gabriel is really stepping it up since Koz went off.
Great tackle by Bailly...he hurt himself
On this date last year we played Palace and forty years ago today I was watching a match at 9 North Terrace, Mildenhall, Suffolk
Oh - Lukaku has a header on target but Cech is equal to it. Great football.
Pogba coming off just before half time
More theater here... what's the point
On comes Carrick
Got The Hornets vs Citeh on Elizabeth's phone. Jacquelyn laughed when she saw the score. Matzzari will not be President of her fan club
Being saved for Wednesday?
2 added minutes at the Theater of Draws
Two minutes of stoppage time here at the Em.
Wijnaldum has put Liverpool up!!!
Martial about to come on in the 46th minute
for Lingard.... stupid
LIVERPOOL TAKE THE LEAD
Aguero fouled inches outside the Hornets box.
So both Arsenal and Liverpool are doing what they need to do at present.
The ffree kick from Yaya is deflected for a corner.,
Klopp having kittens on the sidelines
Missed the goal
Have to wait for highlights
Half time at OT
The Emirates crowd now a bit more subdued because of that late Liverpool goal. Half time.
The match at SM... why can't both teams just go out like it is a kick about.. next goal wins
Dele Alli makes it three nil
GOAL !!!! DELLE ALLI PASSES THE BALL INTO THE BACK OF THE NET OFF A PASS FROM NUMBER ONE SON AND DOES NOT CELEBRATE. SPUDS THREE UP. KANE AND ERIKSEN INVOLVED IN THE MOVE.
Terry, Pogba and Lingard all subbed pathetically...not liking it at all
Is Jose going to sub off Rooney at some point too... I can understand that with 15 minutes or so to go
Awful tackle by Kos
I think that was a pen at Anfield
I do like the Liverpool red version... as I said... reminds me of 70s Pool
Why not bring on youngsters for the subbing and not Martial and Carrick
Totally agree about that hair Karl!!!!!!!
Too easy for Citeh . The Hornets just gifted Citeh four goals.
Boro keeper beaten too easily at the near post.
Sunny and 68 in London . Perfect weather to watch a football match.
Southampton's pitch is cut in these weird patterns
Work of Art or an Eye Sore
BBC says that the football authorities are banning this design from next season
I guess the authorities say it's an eyesore. Is it too deceiving for visiting teams?
Boro have scored in just ONE of their previous eight away games... a 4-2 loss at Hull
Will they score at Anfield
Your thoughts on the Liverpool red
Doesn't it remind you of Keegan, Toshack, McDermott, Kennedy, Dalglish and Rush.... before they went to pinstripes
Spurs match is being pre-empted by a speech by the President. Bloody Trump!
Second halfs starting.
House of Pain being played over the tannoy at the Emirates. Sounds about right.
Spurs match being Trumped by Trump
United match already started as they join it
The Tigers vs the Spuds not on air because the President is speaking!
BLOODY HELL!
Liverpool attacked the Kop in the first half
United's youngster looking really good
wILLY cABS SUPERBLY TURNS AROUND A ROCKET OF A SHOT FROM oKAKA.
Terrific double save by Joel!
Joel Robles with a superb double save from Welllie and Ozil
Harrop with a great run
Martial screws it up
Liverpool with a free kick chance...Coutinho to take....IN!!
TWO NIL
Gabriel and Valencia in trouble now. Gabby will pick up a yellow. Mertesacker warming up.
Gabriel down for the Gunners and Valencia for the Toffees. Gabriel will be booked once he gets up for that terrible challenge.
The Em is silent...as the Pool goal goes in and Gabriel down hurt
Leicester tie it up
This doesn't look good at all for Arsenal Cup's chances. One center back will be suspended and the other is now being stretchered off. Per Mertesacker hasn't played all season!!
Courtois does well to save a header from Rodwell off a Black Cats corner.
An injury stoppage at OT
It's all gone pear shaped for the Gunners.
Bailly now down hurt again
He is probably not going to make it
Only one sub left.. Rooney won't be able to replaced for a farewell
He is walking off
Bailey hobbles off. Hope he's okay for Wednesday
Willock about to come on and Jose shoots him down!!
Palace almost score
A header off the post by Benteke
Bailey back on and Jose frantically telling young Willock that he won't be making his Prem debut.
He's banned for Wednesday
Jose wasn't very nice to that youngster
Rooney with a chance... blocked
Now Ashley Williams is in trouble with Michael Oliver. Should be a second yellow. Everton players surrounding the ref. No card! Ridiculous!
Willian wins a corner off of Lescott.
Three nil Pool
Really poor form from Michael Oliver. He at first summoned Williams over. The player never came, others did. He bottled it.
OH!!! Nearly a hat-trick for Aguero. He shoots wide in the six yard box with just Gomes Addams to beat. The Little Neviller was not impressed.
